"I was the only customer in the restaurant with three employees behind the counter, yet it took 7 minutes for me to receive my medium hot vanilla latte. The plain croissant I ordered was cold and dry, and I believe the employee should have offered to warm it up. While I cannot comment on the quality of the coffee as I am not a connoisseur, my latte was only okay. I paid over $13 for my order, which I felt was not worth it. In the past, I have never had a good experience with the food at this establishment as it is overpriced for the quality. The restaurant is always very clean, including the restroom. There is plenty of parking in the back lot and outdoor seating available on Main Street without umbrellas. The indoor seating has clear Covid dividers, which I found off-putting and not cozy. Additionally, there are signs on the tables that suggest parties of 3 or 4 are not allowed to dine in. The floor still has arrows and signs indicating to stay 6 feet apart, and employees are wearing masks. Signs also indicate that all employees are fully vaccinated and state that vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks. The smell inside the restaurant was not pleasant, contrary to what one might expect from a coffee shop. The walls are adorned with art available for purchase, and the only music played is by DJ Juan Cordova, which may not be enjoyable for everyone. When paying, the computer prompts tip options, which I dislike as it requires tipping for a service not yet received. Overall, my experience was not satisfactory due to the long wait time and average quality of the food and drink."

"I was already a fan of their Watertown location, so I was thrilled when they opened their North Station store. The coffee was fantastic, and their freshly baked goods made for a great breakfast, while the hard rolls and salami were perfect for lunch. Unfortunately, the North Station location had to close as it wasn't able to sustain itself. I hadn’t had the chance to visit the Western Avenue location until today, and, as expected, Harvard always gets the best spots! The new place is spacious and bright, and it has the same amazing pastries, coffee, and service I remember. I wish them good luck navigating these challenging times. An added bonus of this location is the parking lot and a lovely terrace to enjoy come spring!"

"Like others I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t selling this place out, was in a pinch after an appointment at the SSA office and saw a sign for a vegan breakfast sandwich outside. So happy I stopped in! The vegan deluxe is a lovely recreation of sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches that I loved growing up. They also have clearly labeled vegan pastry options which I’m excited to try next time."

"A few colleagues and I recently opened our office on L St in July and were in search of a casual coffee shop to make our go-to spot. With Peets, Joe the Juice, and other options nearby, we decided on Gregorys Coffee for its laid-back atmosphere, variety of drinks, and quick bites, hot food, and baked goods selection. The food is prepared off-site at Gregorys Coffee HQ in NY and is both tasty and easy on the stomach in the mornings. The service is exceptional, although I have had some issues with mobile orders during busy times. My orders have consistently been ready 15 minutes after the specified 'Ready-by Time', making the total wait time 20 minutes. This has happened with small, medium, and large orders, including a 12-minute delay for a baked oatmeal. While I appreciate the apologies and great service, it can be inconvenient when in a rush. Despite this, I continue to return due to the overall experience and generous rewards offered through the mobile app. I have already spent $250 in two months and am now ranked as a 'Hot Shot', with a free bag of coffee as my latest reward. Having a dedicated person for mobile orders could help expedite the process and improve efficiency. Overall, Gregorys Coffee is a great spot, just be prepared for potential delays with mobile orders and plan accordingly."

"This was my first time in New York and this coffee shop kept drawing my attention! I casually walked in just to view the aesthetics and atmosphere but I was greeted with much more than I expected! This review is long overdue but I want to specifically thank Gloria, Vonte, and Brittany for making the experience memorable! I came into town back in May to visit some of my work in Times Square and this is one of my highlights from the trip! The coffee and chocolate croissant was amazing but their customer service is what really fueled me! They were so friendly and informative about the business! "I stopped by this restaurant on my way to a meeting in Midtown. The line to order moved quickly, but there was a delay in getting drinks made, whether ordered in-store or ahead of time. Despite having several staff members, the 9am morning rush seemed disorganized. The interior was clean with a small seating area in the back and a public bathroom with the code 1999. There was a variety of drink and food options, with ingredients and nutritional info listed. I tried the Flower Power cold brew, made with lavender, honey, and almond milk, but was disappointed by the chemical taste of the lavender flavor. The best part was the generous size of the coffee for the price, with the large being 24oz for only $5.85 ($6.37 after tax), which is less than what other small coffee shops or chains like Starbucks charge. They also did not charge extra for almond milk, which was a bonus."

"Nice little coffee shop with good (if not mind blowing) espresso and breakfast options. Came here since it was the closest coffee shop to our hotel (which inexplicably didn't have any way to make coffee in the room). The double espresso was fruity and a bit acidic and not at all burnt, which is well-above-average. The cortado was clean, but not quite as good as the espresso. I also got breakfast for the family with a blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant, vegan sausage croissant, and vegan sausage breakfast burrito. I would have rather had the non-vegan option, but they didn't have it. Still the breakfast burrito was hot and yummy with a bit of salsa and potatoes. My wife liked the sausage croissant more, but I felt like it was a bit bland. The kids picked at the pastries, but that says more about them than the pastries. Overall, the place delivered, but didn't knock my socks off."

"Gregorys is a coffee shop chain with multiple locations in NYC. The branch I visited has a variety of cozy seating options inside and a few outdoor seats, making it a perfect spot for socializing. This was my first time visiting a Gregorys location, and I was impressed by the quality of coffee here, which is above the standard you would find at most coffee shops. "It was ok the first few times. They have a good vegan bar that is not sweet which I really like. The matcha latte is nice but is 2/3 milk and 1/3 matcha. I ask for less almond milk and they say they can’t do it. For $6, they should accommodate my request. I went last Saturday and the place was so filthy from doormat to floor to condiment station where they keep the stirrers, milk, napkins etc… There was a sign that said “You clean up nice” which they apparently don’t do. It is a busy store but that is no excuse for poor hygiene and a lack of cleanliness. I went in today to see if they cleaned up but the place was still dirty. The male cashiers are like zombies. The female baristas on Weekday mornings are good especially Nana. Might try another location. Or just go to Ground Central on W 51 6 1/2 Ave. That coffee place is so much cleaner, the staff is alive and friendly, and the coffee/tea excellent. They also have vegan goodies. Even L’ Ami Pierre across from them is so much better. Sorry but Gregorys is a major disappointment. Sometimes when you expand too fast, you lose quality control."

"My friends and I were staying at the Doubletree hotel nearby for a mini vacation and this was our go to coffee shop before heading to NYC. The staff were amazing! "We stopped by for a quick breakfast at this bakery-like place that offers mostly pre-prepared food. While their vegan options are limited, there are still a few choices available. I tried the deluxe vegan croissant with Just Egg, cheese, and sausage, which was surprisingly tasty despite being reheated. It was a bit on the smaller side though. My husband had the vegan bar. "Just spent ten days in New York and would class ourselves as definite Gregulars. We sampled several of the company's coffee shops across New York and this was definitely our favourite. The staff were super friendly and efficient and the coffee, both iced and regular, was great. It's also a great place to sit for half an hour watching the world go by. Shame there isn't a Gregory's in the UK so we'll have to make do with trying to recreate Fall Oat Boy and the salted caramel latte ourselves until we can come back!!"

"Poor customer serviceNot a fan of the coffee, but I love the breakfast sandwiches. They were out of ingredients for my order this morning (11/11 but I didn 't realize it because I placed an online pick up order. When I got to the store, one of the attendants said they couldn 't make the sandwich. I asked for a simple refund and was IMMEDIATELY met with an bad attitude and unhelpful spirit from the girl African American girl with pink hair(? I mean immediately, and that made me very upset because it was uncalled for. The nasty response I got was that the managers are on vacation and that they 'll get in trouble for canceling a transaction so No I can 't get a refund . I don 't know how true that is, but the conversation could have easily gone a different direction. This isn 't the first time I 've been met with an attitude, this was just the worst time. So whoever management is, please check who you 're hiring. I 'll likely not come back to this location. I 'm not spending money to get met with attitudes before I have to go to work. There are plenty other places that I can choose. This location needs better customer service."

"One would think with all the competition between 20,000 coffee joints in Manhattan, customer service would be your focus. I often frequent Gregory 's Coffee because I like their coffee, but this one location I will never visit again. I enter this morning and the place is empty. Three females are chatting behind the counter. I approach and they all turn to look at me silently. As if I am interrupting them. No one says good morning or how can I help you , only silent stares. I say good morning and places my order, which contains oat milk. A petite female with glasses, in the group, looks annoyed and blurts out I don 't have oat milk . I would have easily switched to something else, but she was so nasty, I said no thank you and walked out. Good luck keeping customers with that mentality."
