"Tropical Sensation, a Caribbean-themed restaurant on upper Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan, more than exceeded our expectations, with very tasty Caribbean selections, good service and a pleasant, neighborhood atmosphere. Try the paella, served for two but easily, three or four people could eat this wonderful seafood concoction with delicious yellow rice. Also try the tender Ropa Vieja, served with a huge mound of yucca. Terrific empanadas and fried meat croquettes; in fact, we could have ordered one order of each (instead of two). Tropical Sensation has a nice wine and beer list and good sangria, too. Go for the fun atmosphere, the neighborhood feel and the excellent food a nice surprise"
