"EXPENSIVE, EXPENSIVE, EXPENSIVE... they will look at you with a straight face like it ain't no thing when they give you your total, I ordered a wet burrito, the flavor the quality of the food is very good the problem is that they only give you small portions this by far was the smallest burrito I've ever eaten anywhere, another thing that I did not like was the prices come on, $14 for a burrito? This is insane, I understand that there's inflation going on but there are plenty of other places that are cheaper and just as good, one thing I will say is that they have excellent customer service the older gentleman at the cashier is very nice and courteous"

"I have had BAD Mexican food in my life but this place competes strongly for the WORST!! I 'll start with the salsa. I was given two... one that I swear was a can of tomato sauce with some onion bits thrown in and a sauce that resembled, maybe, a guacamole type salsa with a slight bit of chilies thrown or dropped in. I asked for one that was mas picante and they brought one that was nice and spicy but very bitter tasting. Not sure where they found it. I ordered the tamale dinner and the tamales looked and tasted as though they came from a can. The retried beans were soupy and tasteless. The rice was the only good thing. My wife ordered Alambre which she said tasted ok but it was mostly large chunks of things with some small pieces of shrimp. One of the pictures is of all I could force myself to eat of what I ordered. I will get something to eat on our trip back home."

"A solid Mexican eatery in the Upper East Side! My friends and I were craving Mexican food in the area and a quick Google search brought us to this place. Thank you Google! Restaurant has an upscale atmosphere and some outdoor seating. No reservation necessary. The servers were friendly and brought everything quick. Portion sizes were reasonable. To start off, we ordered the Guacamole Frutas (medium spice level . Came with a good portion of warm chips. The guacamole was delicious and fresh. I also ordered a mango margarita. This was perfectly sweetened and strong. For my main course, I ordered the Beef Short Rib Tacos upon the waitress's recommendation. Glad I made this choice. The beef was so tender and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by the spice kick. Warning it's spicy!! Haha. Overall prices are slightly more expensive, but great quality food. Flavors really pop out. I will be back :"

"I visited this location to get breakfast for my staff. I ordered the dozen of tacos deal, but started to ask (as I usually do) if I could change some of tacos. I say that I started to because as soon as I began talking the lady cut me off stating, if youwant to customize it that will be 20 minutes. So, I said nevermind and would stick with the original variety, then she rushedto the total without asking if I wanted anything else. So, I stated that I wanted to add something. At this point, there are nocars in the parking lot or in the drive thru line. At the window, I politely asked if I could swap just three of the tacos towhich she replied, Maam, we only have one person working in the morning, so you would have to wait as I already told you! Ireplied with it was just a question, how was I to know about your restaurant 's staffing as a customer! She stated that Ishould have watched the news, as it was all over the news! She continued ranting and when I told her there was no need for anattitude, she was shocked stating that she did not have an attitude! So, clearly the customer service is poor. I understandbeing upset about things at work, but the customers should never bear the brunt of your frustration! So, I truly hope that thestaffing issue at this location is addressed for the staff and the customers ' sake!"

"Great Mexican food here. Visited for my father’s birthday. Loved the shrimp fajitas very good and the chicken tinga enchiladas. Would definitely get those again. Nice environment. The manager Malik was amazing very kind and helpful. Even gave us free dessert and appetizer. Only downside was the server. As a server, I did not feel like our server Jasmine was very respectful service felt rushed. Could have been due to her training another woman while serving us but that should not decrease service quality. We asked about a promotion displayed in the restaurant and they were not honoring. My father told the server “you should let your manager know that the promotion should be taken down if it is not being honored.” Our server became rather rude after this at the end of our experience. Did not appreciate this especially as it was my dad’s birthday and this took off the experience a bit. I always feel that the server can make or break and experience at a restaurant. In this experience, this was not the case. The food definitely made the experience and the manager Malik. Would definitely recommend to others and would come again!"

"The menu was easy to read, and we placed our order quickly. Two of us had a satisfying meal for around $13, which is amazingly cheap. Our meals included two enchiladas, beans, rice, and very large burritos, along with extra wraps and a drink. The food was delicious and served hot, and the chips were fresh and warm. There’s a salsa bar with plenty of free condiments available, and they also serve breakfast. The manager was actively cleaning and checking in on customers, which was impressive since it’s rare to see a manager so involved in maintaining the dining area. Even though they appeared to be short-staffed, it didn’t show. The pride he took in the establishment was evident, even in the restrooms. I appreciated the variety of seating options available, including high tables with bar stools, standard tables with four chairs, and plenty of spacious outdoor seating. I would definitely return if I’m in the area. This place is perfect for families and offers a great quick meal at a budget-friendly price."

"Very good food, especially the guacamole. Service, though, was extremely slow. Got seated right away but it took a long time before they took our order, longer still for the food to come, and the waiter never checked in on us for refills or the check. Kids were very hungry and upset that the food took so long. Had to grab a manager to get the check for us so we could leave."

"I ordered delivery through DoorDash and my wait time was about 60 minutes. I had no complaints since it was 11:30 on a Sunday. I ordered beef nachos and a steak burrito, both of which were well worth the price. The burrito was large and the nachos were packed with toppings. The burrito could have used a bit more flavor, but they didn't skimp on the steak and there were plenty of ingredients. The nachos were delicious and the prices were fair. I definitely recommend this place and give it five stars."

"This charming, no-frills restaurant in a strip mall is a delightful spot. The portions are generous and the food is truly satisfying. "Absolutely disgusting is as kind as I can put it. Enchiladas were HARD, DRY WITH CRISPY EDGES UNABLE TO CUT WITH PLASTIC KNIFE. Beans were as tasteful as a glass of water. Rice was hard and in big lumps. Enchilada gravy was so salty unedible and 90%went to garbage because i would never feed my dog anything like that. All the women working in there at 9pm on 04/26/22 were literally walking in circles confused because nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Dining area closes much earlier than other locations compelling customers to drive thru for the terrible food at this location. If you go to this location you deserve whatever you get because you read the warning I wish I would've read. You all should close this location and stop impersonating Taco Cabana."

"We have been coming to Moreno's for several years and have always enjoyed the food both dine in as well as take out. However on our visit this time I was surprised when I received the bill it was approximately what I expected it would be until they brought the credit card slip for me to sign. There was a 3% service charge on the bill.I don't understand the rationale of putting the service charge at the very end of the bill process. If they want to build that into the price of the food I would prefer to see that rather than showing an extra fee at the end when I'm signing for the charge.This business practice will make me think twice before dining at Moreno's again."

"Finding really good Mexican food is extremely difficult for us. We've traveled extensively and tried it everywhere so when we do come across something spectacular like this little place, we have to leave a review. I grew up in Southern California but after leaving, there is a child I could never find the Mexican food that I remembered from there. The rice, the beans, nothing ever seemed quite as good as what I remembered from my childhood. This place however, hit the mark on just about everything on the table especially the rice. It was so good the chicken was amazing whether you had it in your enchilada or what it was so good. The margarita suggested by the bartender was probably one of the better ones I've had out in this area we will be back for sure. The staff was absolutely wonderful and we can't wait to see them again. Wheelchair accessibility: I did not take my wheelchair in because the distance to the door was so short, but you could have done so easily."
