"We visited El Campesino on August 5, 2024. Overall, I’d have to say Taco Bell is better, and I’m not a fan of Taco Bell. I ordered the Chicken Mole Enchiladas ($17.75), while my wife got the Fish Tacos ($17.75). The highlight of the meal was the chips and salsa. Unfortunately, the mole was bland, and the chicken was either under-seasoned or lacked seasoning altogether. The Fish Tacos contained very small pieces of fried fish that were also lacking in flavor. It was clear that the meals weren’t prepared fresh, as they arrived within five minutes of placing our order. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, but this felt more like fast food trying to pass itself off as a higher-quality dining experience, especially given the prices. Overall, the quality was poor and definitely overpriced!"

"I met my two friends on a Thursday for dinner and it was packed! I asked the hostess if a certain waitress was there because I actually went there to see her and was told she wasn’t. Come to find out, she actually was. But it’s ok because we had another server that was amazing and took care of us in the bar area. I believe her name was Bre. She kept the drinks coming and the food was delicious. My husband and I went back on Saturday and sat on the patio and had another great server. The food was delicious once again and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Managers were walking around talking to people and I love the fact dogs are welcome on the patio! Y’all go see Chassidy though. She’s one of the best servers I’ve ever had wait on me!"

"The restaurant is good, though not exceptional, but it maintains a consistent quality. The food is tasty, and the service is generally reliable, except during busy nights when they might be short-staffed and overwhelmed. Overall, a solid experience."

"What a fantastic place! The food is fresh and prepared with care. The tacos are genuine, featuring authentic cheese and crisp, fresh vegetables, all seasoned to perfection. We always order the Loco Nachos – they come piled high with homemade tortilla chips, grilled fajita toppings, and plenty of cheese. I usually get mine with extra cheese and steak. Enjoying these nachos along with a beer on the veranda is my idea of a perfect week. The family that runs this restaurant is incredibly kind, and the food is simply the best. This is what truly matters in a small town. Don’t waste your time waiting in line at Taco Bell; come here for real, delicious Mexican food!"

"Wow, interesting little whole thing in the wall. Authentic and delicious. Hubby had the Combo Fajitas. He was impressed because there were so many shrimps. Very happy. I had the steak fajita burrito. Huge, delicious. All right, I ate everything. Horchata was delicious. Hubby was also impressed that there was a lady who made tortillas from scratch. Small small small cozy common but ingenious food and customer service experience. Anyway, it'll be back."

"I visited this restaurant with my family and enjoyed a margarita along with some guacamole. Kevin, the shift leader, was exceptionally courteous and patient, even with a steady stream of guests. He personally brought our food outside and even turned on the lights for us! We really appreciate this location because it’s close to home, always quiet and clean. The staff is great, and the service is consistently fast and friendly."

"my family and I will never go back to cosmica. first, if all, it's not really Mexican food, and we would know since we've been Mexican-American and Texas. the service was also terrible. our waitress did not know that the menu was good, had to check if we had salt and pfeffer possible, and would ask 't among our little ones. later we learned that cosmica polite substitutions and changes for efficiency decreases what I could understand when it is a Michelin-rated restaurant that appreciates artistic culinary integrity, but it is not necessary to be honest, everything sounds prefabricated because they were not in a position or unwilling to change something. what if there is an allergy? I do not understand how important this place is, and we were all very disappointed about quality, service and policy."

"We used to go to this place a lot but that was like 15 years ago and it was always delicious. But on 9.19.2022 we were disappointed. The only thing we enjoyed were the chips they are fantastic and the salsa was pretty decent also. My wifeordered a regular Margarita but we had to send it back immediately... it was obviously missing ingredients probably Triple Secor sweet and sour mix because there was zero flavor or Sweetness in the drink the only thing that it tasted like was cheaptequila and lime juice. They replaced it with a raspberry margarita but that also had a chemical taste to it. Which is too badbecause this could be a really decent place to hang out at it is clean and in a good location and the prices are reasonable. The steak tacos we ordered were kind of bland. And unfortunately I suffered from heartburn all night long and into the nextmorning. Maybe it was just an off night for them. Hope they get back on their game because it would be really nice to have agood margarita place close to home."

"December 2021 We sat upstairs and there was only one waitress. She was prompt with taking our drink order and brought them out quickly. Our food order wasn't taken until an hour later, it also came quickly once it was placed and the food was good all around. We enjoyed our time as we were there for my mom's birthday dinner but if it were the same for just a family dinner I would've probably been frustrated. We tried to lighten the mood with the waitress who wasn't unpleasant but also not friendly, possibly due to the lack of help, but in my opinion that should not reflect to the customer. Overall I will go back but I hope they can fix the few issues to turn this into a 5 star rating. Update May 2022 Went in for mother's day dinner, we had a great time and food once again was very good. There was more staff on this visit and everyone was very pleasant. We were able to put our order in quickly and got our food in a timely manner. Everyone was pleased with the quality and the portions are good. Very pleased to raise the rating from the 3 stars I gave in my previous review as we have always enjoyed La Bodega and I look forward to returning."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed. The dining area has a lovely Mexican theme, creating a beautiful atmosphere that isn't too noisy, which made for a pleasant experience. Since it was a Sunday, the restaurant wasn't crowded. I ordered the combination plate with a shredded beef enchilada and a chile relleno; both were large, although the chile relleno was on the smaller side. The salsa was mild and could have used a bit more spice for my liking. My server, Cassie, was very friendly and attentive, ensuring my coffee cup was always full. I will definitely be looking forward to my next visit."

"The food was OK but not what we were expecting from a steak house. the mussels appetizers were just warm not served hot. We both ordered the oz prime rib but they couldn't supply one which was ordered rare. The best they could offer was medium. I would understand this if it were late in the service, but not at pm. Instead I got the rib eye rare, but it seemed to be extremely grainy. Yes I know that the nerves are part of the texture however this was more than usual. The open bar salad was not very good either. It appeared they left every thing out since lunch as nothing was very appetizing. The customer next our table expressed his dissatisfaction with the salad bar too and the beef he was served he described as rubbery......don' think we got our money's worth for for such a high price. Maybe they deserve a second chance."

"San Felipe is a visually appealing restaurant with beautiful colorful art inside, a clean atmosphere, and a nice ambiance. However, the food leaves much to be desired. My daughter and I ordered the California burrito and some wings, while my mom had a meat and rice dish. The burrito was small, the meat lacked flavor, and the cheese was disappointing. There was a lack of traditional toppings like guacamole and onions. The only redeeming dishes were the chicken wings, chips and salsa, and the beer. It seems as though the restaurant caters to a more traditional, less adventurous palate. In comparison, I also visited San Felipe in Sanford and found the food to be much better. The California burrito was large and delicious. The service at both locations was excellent. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you are seeking authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, you will not find it here."
