"I have visited pulcinella several times and am always impressed with the quality of their food. Unfortunately, the last couple of times that I have dined at Pulcinella, I have experienced extremely long waits for food, with no communication from our server. This past weekend, my partner and I sat down, and quickly were greeted by a friendly server and provided with menus. We soon put in drink orders (which arrived quickly) and then a few minutes later ordered an appetizer and our mains. A few minutes after that, they brought us appetizer plates. After this, we waited over 50 minutes until our appetizer was served. I totally understand that sometimes the kitchen can be experiencing high volumes, but this has now happened twice. I know it is not the servers fault, but it would have been very nice if at some point in those 50 minutes she would have checked in and acknowledged the wait, and perhaps apologized or checked on the status. The food was great as always, but I was not impressed with the service and the extremely long wait. We ended up dining for 2 hours (just appetizer and mains, no dessert). I am not opposed to returning to pulcinella in the future, but only when I have a lot of time."
