"I had made a reservation for three for 5:30 p.m. to ensure we had plenty of time to get to our 7:30 p.m. show five minutes away. Our table was not ready when we got there and still wasn't ready 45 minutes later. Luckily, a table for two opened up and the very nice hostess sat us there by turning the table longwise so we all could fit around it. We were supposed to be there for drinks only until our table opened up but when a table opened up they gave it to another party that had been waiting longer than us. Again, luckily another table for two opened and she pushed that one together with ours (unfortunately, inconveniencing the table next to us who had to have their tables moved down), but at least we could order dinner. I don't think our table ever opened up while we were there! The food itself was delicious. We had mozzarella sticks that were typical, but good. My daughter had the fish and chips and they looked great. My cousin had the herb roasted chicken that came with a huge mound of mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. She gave me the dark meat and it was so good! I just ordered boneless chicken wings with BBQ sauce. I loved it! They didn't like their frozen drinks that weren't blended well, but the second round they liked, a beer and sparkling wine. I had two awesome cosmopolitans. Overall, a good experience but if I make a reservation, I expect to be seated on time. Maybe NYC restaurants don't operate like that and I'm spoiled by DC restaurants, but the hostess did a great job to make sure we got in."

"Let me start by saying I love this restaurant. I have had many good experiences at Red Maple, but they dropped the ball on Valentine 's weekend. I made a reservation for Saturday the 13th at pm. We arrived on time and were seated right away. The restaurant was busier than it usually is, but this is no excuse for poor service. The waiter kept apologizing (complaining) that his other table was very needy and I tried to give the guy a break as I am a very low maintenance customer. However I felt as if we were being ignored in favor of the needy table. The waiter passed us several times to take care of the other table while we waited patiently for his return. When he did come to us, it was brief and if we didn 't speak quickly he was gone before we could blink. We ordered wine and appetizers that came out almost immediately. Our entrees also came fairly quickly. I ordered an 8 oz fillet cooked medium with a side of green beans as I always do. The steak came out a little over cooked and I was ok with that but THEY PUT STEAK SAUCE ON TOP OF MY STEAK WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR AND RUINED IT. But I scraped it off and ate it as it is wasteful to send food back. My green beans came out as snow peas. Again the waiter was gone in a flash. When I inquired the waiter informed me they were out of green beans and the kitchen took it upon themselves to sub. I was not informed prior or offered another side. My girlfriend ordered a second glass of wine which never came. We were promptly presented with the bill with no question as to how our meal was or if we would like coffee or desert as per usual restaurant protocol? I had to have him remove the second glass of wine from the bill, and also add a bread pudding which we took to go. The food itself is great but my order was wrong and the service was very poor. Not the experience I am used to paying for here. I work very hard and when I want to spend my money at a nice place like this I expect top notch service and quality."

"I just dined here last night and I can’t say anything nice about my experience. The servers had to be told to take our order after letting us sit without even bread for over an hour. My cocktail came in a chipped glass. The service was incredibly slow and the food came out as if it had been sitting on a counter for hours. My COLD spinach lasagna was gross. I’ve had better at places that charge half the price. Lean Cuisine’s version had more flavor now that I think about it. Several other diners had to send their food back because it was inedible. The caesar salad was wilted lettuce and soggy croutons. And that was just the dinner! The real fun came when it was time for our party to pay for their food. After waiting forever, the manager tried to give us a check for $1,000+ (it was a large group) on a hand-written bill and no itemization. He refused to show a printed check or give them individual checks (even though the menu had been presented on a per person basis). When diners attempted to remind him that their food had been sent back, he started insulting guests (which, not like this should matter, but were comprised of lawyers, educators and other professionals) with racist comments suggesting that somehow his restaurant was a step above the group’s dining experiences. When one guest complained about their GROSS lobster ravioli, he said "You’ve probably never even had lobster, what would you know. When another guest reminded him that her food was cold and she sent it back, he said “this isn’t IHOP lady, you eat your food – no sending it back.” Although the staff was nice enough and kept apologizing for their manager’s behavior, this restaurant was inexcusably bad and should not be supported."

"The food is amazing and completely experimental. I love the unique flavours that accompany every single dish and the presentation is spectacular. It has been one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had and some of the best food as well. I’d give it five stars for every aspect.Unfortunately after coming back a year later and seeing that the menu has been reworked, I would lower my rating drastically (maybe by two stars or so). It has become so much less experimental and the unique flavours are few and far between. The menu is cluttered with basic items such as steak and fries which has replaced some of the most unique menu choices I’ve seen at a restaurant. The old steak I got a year ago is no longer available and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had with its unique flavours and presentation. I hope they bring back some of the unique menu items that have almost completely disappeared from this restaurant. The food is still good but it’s not as good as it was nor as special. Why go here if it’s not to different from other chain restaurants of its type? The head chef is awesome, other staff like management or what not, not to sure. I don’t know who runs the place but they seem to be new management and very bad at it. Reviews and conversations lead me to believe that the new management is disgusting and I honestly hope this place can get things together."

"Apparently COVID has taken its toll. At one time I considered this to be one of the top restaurants in the City. We arrived with a party of six for an important birthday dinner on Thursday I had tried at the last minute to add three more people but they said it could not be done. Much to our surprise, we were the only party there all evening (we left about 8:00). The reason we could not add anyone is that they did not have the staff available to serve only our original six, since we were the only reservations (I guess the word is already out). The whole evening was saved by a delightful Waitperson, Kenni. She was also the hostess, the bartender, server, and even cleaned up a couple of broken sorbet glasses that fell when they were being served. The prices for the various meals were expected high end (Lobster, Filets, Porterhouse and Salmon), but the overall quality was low and most of the food was served room temperature. They explained that the food warmer had broken and they did not have a replacement. They graciously removed the Porterhouse from the bill, but gave it to us anyway (treat for the doggies). The scalloped cheese potatoes were the memorable standout of the evening, along with the attentive and delightful service by Kenni (who informed us it was her last night there). Dennis, the chef also prepared some nice Cherries Jubilee and Bananas Foster at table side, and apologized for the other miscues during the evening. Overall, how sad, because the Crown Room had been a wonderful escape for us in the past from other restaurants in Albuquerque."
