"On to the main event: Dominick’s in Scottsdale is the epitome of an unforgettable culinary experience! From the moment you walk in, you are transported to a place where fine dining meets the vibrant energy of a nightclub—it's like the best of both worlds combined in the most delightful way. The white tablecloths and exceptional tableside service set the tone for a memorable evening, and our server, Kaitlyn, took the experience to new heights. We began with drinks and the famous salted bread served in a cast iron skillet, which hinted at the treat to come. The heirloom tomato salad was a wonderful introduction to the star of the evening—the off-menu prime Cap steak. Priced at a premium but absolutely worth it, this culinary masterpiece redefined the idea of a perfect steak. Cooked to a rare plus, it practically melted in our mouths and was so tender it could be cut with a mere glance. And we can’t overlook the chicken fried lobster, a dish that deserves its own moment in the spotlight for its remarkable flavors. Don’t even get me started on the truffle fries—they have reached a new level of crispy deliciousness that left us eagerly wanting more. Dominick’s has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale, and we highly recommend it. So don’t let any Front of the House antics keep you from experiencing the magic of this outstanding establishment. Trust us, it’s a culinary journey you won’t want to miss!"

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."

"We got caught in LA traffic and were running 10minute late. The restaurant was great in saying they would hold our table. Westin parking is terrible unattended, confusing, illogical. It was frustrating figuring out how to get from car to restaurant. The food was excellent. The steaks were perfect and cooked perfectly. The appetizer we all ordered (french onion soup) was very very good. Our sides were also very good. Overall the food was excellent and we were all pleased. The wine selection was small for so expensive a place, but we found what we wanted and the wine was also very good. The service was excellent, with our waiter being attentive and doing an overall great job. The restaurant is on the 35th floor of this massive hotel and has very nice views. We looked out at Dodger stadium in the distance and as the game ended the fireworks began a nice treat. And finally, on the floor below the restaurant there is a bar that slowly rotates around so you can see all 360 degrees of the skyline. Great for a nightcap. There is a lot to like about LA Prime. What we did not like was the parking (see above) and the ambience. We did not feel like we were in a Westin dining room, but in a Courtyard dining room. A 1980's Courtyard that was very tired looking. There were 3 in our party, but we were seated at a huge round table that would normally seat 6, maybe even 8 people. It was hard to have a conversation. There was a party in the back room that was very loud (they were having a great time) and while happy for them, we were too close to them, and it hurt our experience. The restaurant made it clear that the dress code was smart casual, so I wore a blazer and we all dressed appropriately. I know it is LA, but folks came in in jeans or shorts and Dodgers jerseys, and we felt really overdressed for the crowd that was there. Not great ambience. At a little over $500 for 3 people, I wanted better ambience, but appreciated the food and service."

"What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Like most others, we have severely limited our dining out during the past two years. A colleague's birthday and his desire to dine at a nice Italian restaurant was the impetus we needed to try Sapori. Note to other restaurants, the other Italian restaurant we considered wanted to charge a ridiculous corkage fee of $40. Since we each wanted to bring a bottle, there was no way we were going to pay $40 per bottle. We happily paid a much more reasonable $25 per bottle. It was a beautiful evening to dine al fresco and, feel safe. Besides the warm welcome at the front desk, the beautiful table setting and lighting set the stage for the beautiful dining experience to come. Water glasses promptly filled and soon thereafter wonderful crispy bread with a roasted garlic and a pesto butter arrived. When one of the diners asked if plan butter was available and it was quickly delivered. Our server Anthony cited without missing a beat the extensive list of specials for the evening. He flawlessly opened our bottes of vino and was happy to provide a glass for each wine. For apps, we choose calamari steak, grilled octopus and a Caesar salad. All were fabulous. Mara came by to make certain that everything was to our satisfaction. We had a nice chat with her while waiting for our main courses. Three out of four main courses were specials of the evening. I had the bone in braised short rib over homemade pappardelle. It was magnificent and paired so nicely with our Amarone. The other mains chosen were veal chop, Corvina and a frutti de mare. All were equally terrific. For desert we shared ricotta cheesecake which we all enjoyed. Chef Marco is truly a remarkable chef and his staff are all well trained. So happy we tried this lovely restaurant. To Marco, Mara and Anthony I say Grazie Mille from the 4 of us! Joe M"
