"Amarin offers a light, bright style of Thai cooking, quite different from the creamy sauces at most area Thai restaurants. This style calls for very fresh protein, vegetables and herbs, as the sauce cannot cover up ingredients that are less than perfect. The curries are fresh, with a clean, light sauce. Each dish is prepared fresh and arrived hot from the wok.The dining room is slightly below street level, nicely presented. The table is well presented, and the room is decorated with interesting Thai artworks.Service is excellent. Our server paid just the right amount of attention and was a pleasant and charming person. The restaurant is on a busy corner but there is lots of parking at the building."

"I had a disappointing experience at this Japanese restaurant. While the rolls might be acceptable, I wouldn't recommend trying the sashimi or chirashi—the fish was not fresh at all. Additionally, the kitchen appeared dirty, and the overall experience felt more Chinese than Japanese. The service was awful; the waitress was particularly unhelpful. When I asked if I could substitute a soup for another dish, she cut me off before I could finish my question. In the end, I had to throw away my food."

"Two of us, who had never visited the Copper Pot before, dined there for lunch on a Monday. We arrived a bit late, so the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was excellent, and the owner was very attentive and helpful in answering our questions about different menu items. We're looking forward to returning with a few more friends so we can try more of the delicious offerings."

"Nice place. We dropped in for lunch on a Sunday. Quite slow, but I think you could expect that at 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday. Food is good and service was good. They were flexible with off menu options or customizations. There were four of us, three of us loved their meal and I thought mine was good. Could have used a little more flavor to mine but all in all great food. Good service. A definite stop if you're at sacred heart or Fairfield University and are looking for a nice dining experience that's not too cash and not too upscale."

"Despite being busy and a bit understaffed, my friend and I received exceptional service. The food was delicious, and they offered an impressive selection of Japanese whiskeys."

"We had gone for dinner as our daughter spoke highly about the good food here but what a disappointment!!! We ordered the assorted tandoori plate, portion was very less, the onions were all raw and the tandoori was very plain. We ordered 3 entrees- tofu tikka masala, chicken tikka masala and mirch tikka masala(chicken) all were cooked in the same sauce. Our chicken was cooked with loads of sugar! The sev puri was too sour due to too much of tamarind sauce. The food completely ruined our aperture. Don’t go there if the owner and his chef brother is not there."

"I recently had the best Indian food of my life at a restaurant in Payson! I was pleasantly surprised to see "vegan options" written on the side of the restaurant and so many options to choose from. All of their naan is vegan as well, and the customer service was excellent. Everyone in our group agreed that this was the best Indian food we had ever tasted. The portions were also generous. I highly recommend checking out this place and showing your support!"

"I posted on Yelp but they hid my review and I think people should know what I witnessed so I'm reposting here. I was there for the lunch buffet recently, 8-17-15. Tables are setup with salt and pepper shakers in the middle of the table and 4 place settings. While I was eating I saw the owner/manager walk up to a table that was setup for customers with a can of bug spray. He followed a fly around the table with the bug spay and then gave the fly a big blast right in the center of the table. Well I was thinking he would clean the table, replace the salt and pepper shakers and also replace the 4 place settings of napkins wrapped around silverware. I was astonished when he went to the counter and came back with a rag. He just wiped the fly off the table and excess bug spray and didn't replace the salt and pepper or the 4 place settings. Needless to say, I paid and left. Someone else in the food business told me it was totally against health regulations to be using a spray like that in a restaurant, especially on tables where customers eat."

"Chaska is a comfortably lit, quiet restaurant where the owner pays attention to every detail of the food and overall experience. After a strenuous workout, I decided to treat myself and satisfy my hunger by randomly choosing Chaska. I ordered the Chaska meat platter, one of the pricier items on the menu at around $21. The platter consisted of well-seasoned and perfectly cooked chicken, fish, shrimp, and kebob. They substituted the shrimp for lamb, which they had run out of, but everything was delicious. The bathroom was spacious and clean—a rare find—which nicely complemented the enjoyable meal. The restaurant has ample space for several parties, allowing for social distancing, so I felt comfortable removing my mask. There are plenty of other dishes on the menu, and I’m likely to return to try more of their cuisine."

"I went with a large group and the owner didnt want to take separate checks as most restaurants do these days. He didn't quite know how to handle a group of 8. He would take to us as if we were family in a wayy I felt that we were being scolded by him. Non the less the food was good and just had to chalk it all up to an adventure. Even with his nephew running around wanting to sell you tickets on his toy train. Defiantly got that family owned feeling :"

"Though the food was good, I would not eat at Bollywood Tadka again because the service was so poor. I was ignored upon entering the restaurant though the restaurant was practially empty. They seated an Indian couple who came in after me before they even acknowledged me. When I was finally seated, it took a while to get someone to take my order and I finally had to get up, walk to the counter and ask for my check in order to leave. Food, no matter how good, could never get rid of the bad taste this place left in my mouth"

"The Thai food at this place is amazing!! The server is Thai and very nice! The environment is neat! I ordered the second last option under curry with Rati. Curry was so authentic and Rati tasted so great! I didn’t have that much chance to try Rati, but I am sure not every Thai restaurant would provide that. The Thai tea without ice came with a huge size. This taste of Thai food doesn’t exist on every neighborhood at Chicago. I bet. This is worth a try for everyone!!!"

"I have patronized this Indian restaurant since 2002 and loved their (pre covid) weekday lunch buffets, which has been discontinued in the era of the covid pandemic. What brings me back over the years is the exquisitely prepared, well seasoned and tasty cuisine from different parts of India, as well as the wonderful and welcoming hospitality of the Patels. Vegetarians will find a wide range of vegetarian options. I love their vegetarian thali. For this review, my dining companion and I came for our first in person post covid lockdown dinner and ordered our favorites see accompanying photos. The masala chai has the perfect balance of Indian black tea, milk, and cardamom. The vegetarian mulligatawny soup (also available with chicken) is my favorite Indian comfort food soup a hearty South Asian/Tamil soup of lentils, tomatoes, and spices. The curry chicken has the right balance of coconut milk and curry spices and tastes perfect with the naan and paratha (unleavened whole wheat) bread. The tandoori chicken is their signature dish and is tender, juicy, and mouthwatering. For dessert, the kheer (rice pudding with milk and cardamom) is my dining companion's favorite while I love the kulfi (made with sweetened milk and pistachios, slowly cooked and then quicky frozen). It is a testament to the excellent food that keeps me coming back regularly for more since 2002 to the present (2021). I have eaten in so many Indian restaurants in North America, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia, and I am so proud to say that Tandoor's offerings are as authentic as it gets, without the Americanization."

"I recently had the pleasure of trying the veg thali at this restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The thali was beautifully presented with a diverse array of flavorsome dishes. Each component was thoughtfully prepared and had its unique taste that blended harmoniously. From the aromatic curries (kadai paneer , Daal Makhni and methi malai matar) to the perfectly cooked vegetables and lentils, every bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. The balance of spices was just right, adding a nice kick without overpowering the natural flavors of the vegetables. The rice and assorted bread were the perfect accompaniment, completing the meal wonderfully. The attentive staff and warm ambiance added to the overall dining experience. Vegetarian options: Various kind of pakora, Samosa , chaats and veg curries"

"My friend had never had Indian food before and wanted to give it a try. I told the waiter that she was in Indian food virgin and they were very helpful. We had a combination lunch that included salad, rice, naan and a choice of one vegetarian and one meat entrée. Our food was delicious. We had chicken tiki masala and garbanzo beans. The owner came over to our table and spoke with us and he couldn't have been more gracious or welcoming. We had a one and would definitely come back again. The only issue I had was that it was a hot day and the restaurant is kind of open air so there was no air-conditioning. I probably would not come back in the summer."
