"My friend had never had Indian food before and wanted to give it a try. I told the waiter that she was in Indian food virgin and they were very helpful. We had a combination lunch that included salad, rice, naan and a choice of one vegetarian and one meat entrée. Our food was delicious. We had chicken tiki masala and garbanzo beans. The owner came over to our table and spoke with us and he couldn't have been more gracious or welcoming. We had a one and would definitely come back again. The only issue I had was that it was a hot day and the restaurant is kind of open air so there was no air-conditioning. I probably would not come back in the summer."

The place is quaint. The service was good. The food was just OK. We had four people in our party. I didn't enjoy my meal (I probably ate a spoon full of each dish) and another person dining with us didn't enjoy his food either. Only one of the people enjoyed their food. However, the restaurant was more than willing to season the meal to suit everyone's preferences, ensuring that all diners were satisfied with their choices. Having dined in India and at various Indian restaurants across the USA, I can confidently say that the meals at Flavor of India are among the best I've encountered. Be sure to try the baingan bharta—if you love eggplant, you won't be disappointed! My only wish is that they would keep dal makhani on the menu all the time.
