"The food isn 't the problem with my dining experience. Actually the food was pretty good! But the service I received was absolutely terrible. My girlfriend and I got a table outside. I noticed a man texting on his cell phone for about five whole minutes, and it turned out it was our server. He didn 't bother to take our drink order first before he engaged in a texting conversation with someone. I get it, you need to text someone. That 's fine, but can you at least ask for our drinks first? We placed our food order, and this guy couldn 't even navigate the tablet thing that he used to take the order. He kept asking us for clarification about what we wanted. I ordered the Monte Cristo French toast, and a coke. It took about ten minutes for him to bring the coke out to me. Then when the food came, I got the wrong thing. I received regular French toast, when I ordered the Montr Cristo French toast. Here 's where the real problem started. When I told the server that this isn 't what I ordered, he got defensive. He said dude, you said French toast . Right, I did... The Monte Cristo French toast. That 's what the item is called on the menu. His response was but that 's a sandwich . To which I replied right. It 's a sandwich. Which is called the Monte Cristo French toast . And he said then why didn 't you say sandwich? Now, to make it clear, there is no non-sandwich version of the Monte Cristo on the menu. There is nothing else with that name on the menu. He just messed up the order. Which, is fine, it happens, but his attitude was so horrible about it that it made me actually angry. I know what I ordered, and you repeated it back to me. You just messed up, and it happens, but don 't be rude about it.It took them another FIFTEEN minutes to get me the right order. We were running late because it took them so long to bring me what I actually ordered, so the minute my food comes out, I asked for the check. They had sent a different server instead because apparently our guy didn 't want to deal with us. It took ten more minutes to get the check.Overall, the food was fine. I 'm sure the rest of the staff is great and friendly and kind. However, this one server was SO rude and bad at his job that I have to give one star. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with him. He was rude for no reason and tried to blame me for his mistake. Mistakes happen. It 's cool. I 'm not mad about the fact that it was a mistake. I 'm mad that you tried to blame me, tell me I 'm wrong, took forever to fix your mistake, and were incredibly rude about it the entire time."

"My first time coming to this restaurant and it was not a good experience. I called to make an order of a chicken patty and a large griot with banane. The man said it would take 30-35 minutes for the food to be ready. I never had to wait 30 minutes for a pick up at a restaurant usually I wait 15 minutes but I just agreed because I thought maybe it?ll be freshly made. I went into the restaurant 20 minutes later. I had to wait almost an hour in total to finally get my food. The reason people do orders is so they don?t have to wait so long to receive their food , but I still had to wait 30 extra minutes just for one patty and a tasteless, barely cooked/tender griot. And I expected the food to be hot and fresh like it just came off the stove but it wasn?t. I couldn?t even eat the whole thing. Only thing I was able to eat was the patty, which was the only good thing but after reading other reviews I realized that my patty also wasn?t even fully cooked. The way I seen the patty on the inside, I thought that?s just how they were made but I was wrong????. I took a few bites of the griot and ate one plantain and had to throw the rest in the trash. The griot had big pieces, no taste, was hard to chew, and tasteless like they put no kind of epis or seasonings in it. I go to other Haitian restaurants where the food tastes better and I don?t ever have to wait this long. If you?re gonna make people wait a long time for their food at least make it worth waiting for, with some good tasting food."
