"This place is like a Pull-Up Dine, Drive-Through more for Seafood! Buzzing on the weekends w/ families, couples and friends. It has an order over the counter made-to-order like process, w/ an open floor cafeteria vibe. It also has wall art murals throughout plus a section with arcade games. There’s also an in-door/ outdoor seating (both which have a bar). I like that they didn’t stress the mask wearing policy here. I ordered my food To-Go. Every time I come here they consistently make the food hot, flavorful, delicious fresh. Plus the frozen cocktail drinks are always bomb; I love it! Whenever you’re in City Island GO HERE! They close at midnight!"

"I lived in New England for some time and was spoiled by the many lobster roll options. When I get that craving here, the crabby shack is always my go to spot. I know here I am getting the closest I can to that delicious lobster roll taste I like. First off, I think a lot of people are turned off my pricing, yes these are quite small perhaps 2 might be better, but still as far as lobster roll goes this is quite normal. Here I've tried the crab roll, lobster roll, clam chowder, tomato basil and banana pudding. My least favorite has been the tomato basil soup but the rest of my selections were delicious. The only thing I recommend is that they butter toast the bread a bit more! But overall, it's a delicious meal each time!"

"The food was very good. I used the door and hers always on time, hot and ready to eat. I just ordered ox tails and nothing else. I was recommended to eat this during an event in NY. I've been tied up since then. The worst experience I had here was burned grain bread (it is not called that, but what it looks and there was too much fat on the ox tails. One time, a part of the drink was a little, but nothing crazy. The homemade tea is powerful. Very strong, but difficult to drink from yourself since his overpower. Still taste great. (so strong, but I go, UGH! Then take another sip. the best coupled with the food you buy there. No bad experience, though only one to buy."

"This six table restaurant was super amazing. I heard about it because they made Wednesday night vaccinated customers only night. Since it was my 20th wedding anniversary that night as well, we thought we would check it out. They didn't check vaccination cards. I'm not sure why. It's a small restaurant but the tables were spaced out. And they confirmed on the phone when I made the reservation that it was vaccination only for that night. So I figured that's the way they handle it. Also, it was only one cook and server when I was there so maybe there wasn't enough staff to check. But the service was excellent. My name was on a chalkboard for the reservation. That was a cute touch. The food was delicious. The savory clafouti was amazing. And the bone marrow with hazelnuts! I've never had it that way, great idea! The foie gras and buttermilk chicken and summer pudding. All terrific. Great wine selection. Super casual but intimate. We had random Star Wars stickers embedded into our table. Made for some conversation. Definitely make a reservation for any night the restaurant is super small. Did I mention only six tables? :"

"The atmosphere had a cozy, old-skool feel to it. People from all walks of life ventured in to dine. Dim-lit but full of life inside. Indoor seating. Easy to spot in traffic. 50% of my Blackened [2] Pork Chop meal was seasoned to perfection; other half food was a bit salty. The Collard Greens, Steamed Cabbage, Cornbread, and Yams were on- point. The Meatloaf was atrocious! It lacked flavor. It was burnt to black. We had to send it back to sender. Maybe the cook was having a moment, but this batch of loaf should have been kept hidden. The Sweet Tea was southern good! The service/waitress was good. Overall, I would return. Everyone deserves a chance to redeem."

"I was informed that my order of a two-piece whiting, four wings, two sides, and an extra lobster mac would take 15 minutes. However, after a frustrating 40 minutes, my food was finally ready. I had to request a bag and more than one napkin from a young lady at the front, who seemed disinterested in being there. In fact, none of the staff appeared motivated, and they moved at a surprisingly slow pace while preparing orders, almost as if they were doing it on purpose. To make matters worse, they forgot my greens. I had to go back and ask for them, only to be met with hostility from the man at the front taking orders when I asked if he could speed things up, considering I had already waited three times the promised time. He shouted at me in front of other customers, saying that if I wanted quick service, I should go to the carry-out and order rice and rats. As for the food, it was not worth the wait, the price, or the trouble. The chicken was slimy, the mac and cheese tasted like it came straight from a Kraft box, and the greens were bland with tough stalks, tasting oddly seasoned with cinnamon. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this establishment. They are slow, overpriced, and combative. By the time we finished our meal, the mall was closing."

Some guide for the hard core vegs out there, this place has all typical Caribbean / jamaican carnivore dishes, and is always a little smoking so that the smell could turn them off, but for all others, their meat-free versions of stew beef, jerk chicken and other objects are incredible tasting and satisfying, and the portions are generous. they have a complete set of vegetarian plates on their menu as well as sweet Jamaican patties and wonderful next-courts all made w/o animal products. they don't always have everything they list, so they call for the daytime options, but I haven't had any bad meal there yet. Finally, each plate is cooked to order so when they go, plan them well and expect to wait about half an hour or so until their meal is ready for picking up."

The delivery person said to me... My Car Reaps Of That Smell , and ma 'am do you have anything thing I can spray my car with I gave him a can of FREEZER!.Before I could to the kitchen tounpacked the food my client stated, What 's that smells like low tide at a beach? It was that FISH. Not ONLY did the fish had STRONG fishy smell it was also covered so thick with BATTER and a very LARGE SLICE OF LEMON atop of it as so to take away the heavy pungent ordor. When I opened the very small $5+ Mac n Cheese, tasted it, 3x 's to be sure what I 2as tasting WAS NOT what I thought it was... low and behold it WAS... SPOILED MILK...and the P Salad was WARM.Money I LITERALLY GAVE AWAY.Of course I called the PLACE and got a song n dance lie about the manager and on owner not being onsite, and will be there the next day Saturday Really????. "I am delighted to have a Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant nearby. We ordered for pick-up and our food was ready in just 15 minutes. The person behind the counter was very friendly when we picked up our order. We got two medium-sized dinners for $30. While the goat could have had more flavor and the Mac and cheese was average, the jerk chicken, mixed greens, and rice and peas were excellent. The portion sizes made up for any shortcomings in taste, and we will definitely be ordering from here again when we have a craving. Our only disappointment was that they forgot to include our side of fried plantains."
