"On a whim, I decided to grab some takeout and chose this Indian restaurant since it was the closest option. Overall, I had a great experience! The restaurant may be small, but it has a lovely atmosphere and was very clean and tidy. The owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The prices were similar to other Indian restaurants I've visited. I ordered onion kulcha and paneer makhani, and both were delicious. The spice level is a bit hotter than what I'm used to, so be mindful of that. However, the flavors were fantastic, and the portions were generous. While I've had better onion kulcha (this one was a bit thinner than I prefer), it was still quite tasty. Their vegetarian menu is more extensive than many other Indian places I've been to, which already offer a good variety, so I’m definitely planning to return to try out some of the other dishes that I can’t find elsewhere. Overall, it was well worth the drive!"

"For our main courses, we enjoyed the Butter Chicken Desi Style and the Goat Laas Maal, both of which we paired perfectly with crispy, garlicky Garlic Naan. The naan was not only flavorful but also complemented both dishes beautifully. The chicken and goat were cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sauces so much that we ordered an extra serving of naan just for dipping. The Laas Maal is definitely a standout dish—spicy and full of flavor! Overall, we had no complaints about the restaurant; however, we did notice that the portion sizes seemed to be smaller than what we remembered from takeout. The host was exceptionally friendly and attentive, frequently checking in on us and helping us with our food selections. The ambience of the restaurant was warm and cozy, making for a wonderful dining experience."

"This place wasn't extraordinary, but it wasn't bad either.One thing that caught me off guard was that they didn't have saag on the day I went. Apparently, they rotate their buffet items, and unfortunately, saag wasn't on the menu that day. As this is a common traditional dish, it was a bit disappointing.The other downside was the price. Compared to other Indian buffets in OC, Masala Bae seemed a little more expensive.The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. However, it was clear they were understaffed, as the service was a bit slow. Despite that, the staff was friendly and tried to accommodate everyone.On the positive side, their buffet offers a wide range of choices, making it a great place for groups with different dietary preferences. Whether you're a vegetarian, pescatarian, or a meat lover, they've got something for everyone."

"I visited specifically for Nepali food, but I found the momo to be disappointing. However, the Goat Sekuwa, Goat Bhuttan, and Chicken Chilli were quite good. While I wouldn’t return for Nepali dishes, I would definitely come back for South Asian/Indian takeout. They offer Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Naan, and Biriyani, all of which I'm sure are excellent—it's hard to go wrong with those options."

"Pakwaan is truly exceptional. We absolutely love the food here! We've experienced their inviting atmosphere and the customer service is top-notch. We usually opt for online delivery, and they've never made a mistake with our orders, which is something we can't say about other restaurants we've tried through DoorDash. They really pay attention to spice levels, so if you enjoy curry but aren't a fan of spicy food, they will prepare it mild for you! "First time eating here in 20 years, (I think the owners have changed hands since then. Nevertheless lots of food options for vegan. Just be sure to ask them if there is any dairy or animal products (like Naan bread has egg in it . I ordered the BAIGAN BHURTA entrée. Delishous! Note- I asked the waiter if the vegetables were cooked on the same surface as their animal meat. He said no. Seems that some restaurants even though they claim her dishes vegan will still sautéed vegetables on the same grill top that they will also grilled meat on. Be sure to ask that wherever you go! Will definitely come back again and try some other dishes."

"I've passed by this restaurant a hundred times without stopping, but today we decided to try it for dinner, and I'm so glad we did! The lamb biryani was among the best I've ever had, and the garlic naan was thick and perfectly moist. The spices balanced beautifully as I ate, without being overpowering. "we were here twice before and recently recommended friends just to hear feedback about eating that was not good, so we wanted to try it again with friends. at the last visit the service was slow, but they are very nice. what we have noticed about most food is that it was quite dirty compared to our visit less than a year ago. they seem to be directed in many who should not happen to use the same engraving sauce floor, and most of the plant eaters were undercooked. it can change the administration or the head cook, but the taste of the food is no longer authentic in the region as it was. the stacks of papadams and seasoned at the arrival are good. the naans were tasty and well cooked, but the appetizers and disappointed us. we hope that food quality will improve. a way, but not the only way to judge a good Indian restaurant is to count the actual Indians there. we haven't seen many of these weeks, but it has only confirmed our thoughts."

"I had my worst experience in restaurant.We ordered paneer butter masala, the gravy was full of water and it was not fresh. We informed server regarding this she told she will remove it from bill and I asked for lemon and green chutney but that guy bring me onion and green chilli(without ordering and when were paying bill we didn’t check because we trusted them. And eventually they addepaneer butter masala in bill and also they added charge for onion $3.5(which I didn’t order . And after paying bill when i asked that guy that he miss charged us so he was talking rudely and was telling that we’re charging for lemons(yes 3.5$ .So I asked them to instead of onion write that charge for lemon and green chutney on bill but he denied to write that in bill. Also if you’re planning to go their in afternoon must bring sun screen, bcz they don’t have any curtains which stops the sunlight. And I would suggest bring onions also."

"Have heard and read good reviews about this place many times. I would say definitely a very nice place, if not the best Indian restaurant in Baltimore region. Food tasted authentic and prices are not at all expensive. Have to add that decoration is beautiful and a spacious restaurant. One suggestion: please choose Indian music for background ambience We ordered Mint Raj Kachori, which brought back the nostalgia of having those back in Delhi, so 5 stars for that. The Lahsooni Murgh malai tikka was very good too. Chhole Bhature was tasty, but chhole was not warm enough and portion felt not enough for accompanying 2 Bhatures. In the Entree section, Chef's biriyani was very tasty, again a little more in quantity would be better. Achari Murgh was agian delicious. Waitress/waiter were friendly and prompt. The table was not very clean, so that took away half star, wishing item portions are little more amd chhole was not hot, took away other half. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars."
