However, the seafood fajitas were just okay; there wasn't much protein for the price, with more vegetables than shrimp, scallops, and calamari—only about three pieces of each. The dish lacked a strong flavor. I'll consider trying other entrees in the future, especially if management takes these reviews into account."

"Always a great choice for family night or date night. The menu expands beyond traditional choices but each element of every plate seems to be prepared with care. The helpful, personable and attentive staff are open to changes and substitutions to ensure everyone gets exactly what they want. While the signature dishes such as the pollo con mole and shrimp relleno stand out, they never stand alone, the beans are always just right, the rice is always perfect, the vegetables always fresh. "The service was poor, and the beans in my torta were spoiled and had a sour taste. When I brought it to their attention, they refused to address the issue, claiming it was a new recipe or that it was the cheese on top of the beans causing the problem. They even wanted to charge me extra to replace the spoiled beans with more rice. Since opening four years ago, the quality has really declined."

"Tried for first time since they opened and very happy with meal and portions. Prices are reasonable and more authentic than La Casa Tequila that closed on Tiedeman. Love the option of beans with your meal as first time I have seen this. Can get refried, whole pinto or black bean so can try them all. Not sure if normal packaging but takeout orders in foil containers which kept food warm. Good salsa and fresh homemade tortilla chips. Chicken enchiladas pablano were excellent with big pieces of shredded chicken. Can't wait to go back!"

"Being a Mexican with a Mexican mother who cooks at a Michelin star level (in my humble opinion), finding a good Mexican restaurant is hard. It's really hard. So when I came to this restaurant and tried their gorditas, sopes, and tacos (I'm wary of trying dishes that are more time consuming to make like Mole, Pozole, or Tamales) I was blown away! My rule of thumb to see how good a Mexican restaurant is by how good their salsas taste. Everything tasted great! Highly recommend. Buen provecho!"

"So I am new to the area. I like to try compare restaurants especially w/ so many Mexican restaurants available. I went in around 10:15 pm, only 2-3 customers. I ordered guacamole with chips 3 tacos. The guacamole was full of large pieces of onions, more onions than avocado. And for the amount they serve you the price they're charging it's a rip off to give so little avocado and try to mask it by loading it with onions. The tacos lacked flavor and were skimpy with the meat. Even the sauces did not taste flavorful. And let me tell you I was starving, which usually at that point everything tastes like a gourmet meal. Not in this case. Just go down the block and head to Grito instead."

"I found this restaurant on Yelp when I was searching for a Mexican restaurant near my hotel. Wanted to have some good California Mexican food before I headed back to Montana. This place did not disappoint! Everything about this place was awesome! The ambiance, the food, and the service. Our waitress was Tonya sorry if I misspelled that , who was as sweet and accommodating as could be. My friend asked if they had a hotter salsa than the one served with the chips and next thing we know she brought a sample of all of them! They were all delicious! I don't know about anyone else, but everyone I know judges a Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa that are served. We were not disappointed. So happy, right from the start. Then my tacos came and from the beans, to the rice, to the tacos loaded with carne asada, it was the best Mexican food I've had in years! My friend even plans on recommending to family nearby. I definitely plan to go back the next time I'm there."

The only thing I'd say bad is I ordered a chicken burrito and you would think it would have something is in other than just meat but nope it didn't have rice, beans onions or nothing besides chicken in it. The food is always very good though. The queso is great and so is the salsa. The portion sizes here are fantastic. Our waiter was great. We will be back."

"When I walked in, my first thought was, This place is going to be pretty good. The host barely spoke English, so you know the amigos in the kitchen are cooking up something authentic. I started with chips and spicy guacamole, which had a nice little kick to it. Adding the red salsa made it 10x better. The chips were homemade and perfectly crisp. For my entrée, I went with 3 tacos—2 chicken and 1 steak. The tacos were served the authentic way, just cilantro and onions. The steak had great flavor but felt like it was missing something. The green sauce wasn’t spicy, but the red salsa gave the tacos that perfect kick they needed. I was initially skeptical about the chicken tacos, but they turned out to be surprisingly good. Overall, I’d give this spot a solid 9/10. Definitely better than many other taco places I’ve tried."
