"Order was not received like I ordered it. I got the 5 enchilada plate. Replaced bean one with a spicy meat one with chili con carne. It was supposed to have cheese and onions. There was a whisper of cheese, I asked for more, and no onions to be found. The cheese enchilada was also supposed to have onions but found none. Sent back when it came with the bean one not replaced with the spicy meat one. The flavors were nowhere near what I remember as a child, some 60 odd years ago! They even tasted like they had a hint of sugar in them. The chili con carne was horrid in my eyes. I asked for fresh avocado instead of guacamole on the avocado enchilada which was not. It came with the guacamole not as ordered. This was a very big disappointment to me for all the years I have come to El Chico. There was no real butter either. It used to come with tortillas and relish dishes in years gone by but alas, no more. You would think with today's prices that the restaurants would go the extra mile to please. Very sad experience also. Service was lacking. They only checked on me twice before asking for my check. Once to switch out bean enchilada for the spicy meat as ordered and once to ask how it was. I told them not good. They gave no notice to that. Did not get the chance to replace the guacamole one with fresh avocado. The whole restaurant was sad to look at. It had tiles in the middle of replacement with walls and floors showing rough spots where they had been removed and not replaced yet. In the middle of a remodel I guess? I probably will not go back. Vegetarian options: If you want vegetarian there are plenty of choices. I would stick to sauces with no meat in them and no sour cream or cream sauces if milk intolerant. The red and green sauces are probably good for this. Dietary restrictions: I asked for no tomatoes on my salad which they did. Parking: El Chico Pantego store at Park Row and Bowen, Pantego, Tx Kid-friendliness: Did not notice if they had high chairs or boosters seats but probably did? Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of table space for wheelchairs and a handicap accessible stall in bathroom."

"A classy, pleasant bar in the Ritz on Central Park, Contour Gastro Lounge And Bar is a great place to stop for a drink and enjoyable people-watching.There are various kinds of seating, so you can find whatever you like, from barstools to large couches. The service was slow, but this isn't the kind of place you come to when you're in a rush, so we didn't mind. The drinks are, of course, expensive, but that's a given in the Ritz and part of the whole experience. I recommend the espresso martini for an afternoon pick-me-up after walking at the park!"

"The food was underwhelming. The balsamic dressing for the salad was excessively acidic, making the salad itself just average. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich with coleslaw, which was rather lackluster. The coleslaw lacked creaminess and leaned more toward vinegary. The chicken was served on soggy focaccia bread that failed to make an impression; a nicely toasted French or Italian bread would have been a much better choice. The chicken was overcooked, and the breading was subpar. Although the accompanying tomato sauce was decent, the dish was garnished with only two small slices of pickles, which felt sparse. On the positive side, the onion soup was quite good—definitely the highlight of the meal. In terms of ambiance, the place feels more like a sports bar trying to double as a pizza restaurant, featuring Italian dishes. There were several screens on the walls, one playing the Food Network and another showing loud music videos. If you’re looking for a sports bar with mediocre food, this is it. However, if you want authentic Italian cuisine, there are far better options elsewhere. For good pizza in Morton Grove, consider Pequods, Giordanos, or Burts Place. I didn’t try the pizza myself, but I spotted it being served at other tables and it looked like it could range from great to mediocre—so I can't fairly judge it based on appearance alone. Service was slow for a place that was mostly empty during our early visit—the entree salad arrived long before the chicken parmesan. My wife also noted that the coffee was weak, as if watered down. Given the quality of what we received, the bill felt excessive. On the bright side, the restaurant boasts a large parking lot and a spacious outdoor seating area. It aspires to be a sports bar like Grazianos, but it falls far short of that mark."

"MILITARY DISCOUNT From outside it looks like your average bakery! Don't let looks deceive you! Go in, smell the smells, order tons because you will be disappointed in yourself if you don't. I visited mid afternoon 3 days in a row and I missed outon several of their Specialties because they are that Popular with the locals and people visiting from out of town. Thedoughnut Breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. The oldest recipe was the bear claw. You will not be disappointed!"

"We ordered and picked up dinners at Russell's BBQ last week. The dinners were well prepared and everything we ordered and it was ready on time. It was made to order and still hot when we got it home. ALL the extra's we ordered were in the order. They do such a great job. I would order and pick up or dine in this restaurant anytime! It is clean and the staff is very helpful. Their soup is also great. We ordered and kept for lunch the following day. Thank you for the great job you do."

"Thereis an old lady there that is very unpleasant with costomer. I order one crab cake plater and she gave me one crab sandwich. Evethough the young lady who took the order told her I order the platter nor a sandwich, she did not want to change it. To make things even worse shet said that the sandwich and the platter were the same. What is a plain lie, because even the price is higher for the platter. This the third time I have an issue with this old woman. I just no going back any more, and recommend to check that this woman really gives you what you pay for. Sorry for the bussness, since it changed the owner, that woman is making this restauran to a very disagreeable experience."

"I dined here last night with a friend I'm visiting in Miami, who comes here often. The pizza is made from scratch, not frozen, and the toppings are fresh. I'm not usually a big pizza fan due to my job, but I gave it a try and ended up eating three slices of a six-slice pizza. I wish I had taken a photo! My friend always orders the Baja BBQ Chicken, and even though I'm not a BBQ person, I found it to be absolutely delicious! It's a small, family-run restaurant with limited seating, but the atmosphere is fantastic. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this place!"

"SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! We were extremely disappointed in this restaurant! As we walked in there was no greeting just how many? Even our waitress walked by us twice with out a word. She acted like she really didn’t want to be there. We waited 25 minutes until she took our order, then another hour or so to get our meal. She explained the kitchen issue to the people in back of us but failed to give us a heads up personally. The Chips were outstanding but left a greasy film on the top of our mouths but the salsa was great. We ordered the fajita one beef, chicken enchilada plate and the two beef enchilada’s and a side of queso. We weren’t even given a choice of a small or lg queso. By the time we finally got our dinner we filled up on chips. We weren’t that hungry and the beef had a strange teriyaki taste "

"Consistently excellent food. Although we've recently moved out of the area, this was our favorite go-to restaurant while we lived here. One of our sons still resides here, so we make it a point to dine at El Chico’s whenever we visit. The chips and salsa are delicious. I always opt for the beef fajitas, while my wife enjoys trying different dishes from the menu, and she's always satisfied with her choices. We always request Felipe as our server. He's quite popular, so he tends to be busy, but to us, he's like a friend and provides outstanding service."
