"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"We decided to come here for drinks and light bites on a weekday evening. We made a reservation before and please do so yourself so you can have guaranteed seating. By the time we left the restaurant was almost completely filled! Once seated we were given the menu to look over. I started with a glass of their white Portuguese option and ordered vegetarian tacos for the table. Overall the selection they had was good! Ambiance gave for a small Parisian wine enclave and it’s a great ambiance for a small group of friends or an intimate date night. A plus, it’s only a block away from the subway!"

"Group of without a reservation came in before us. They were told it would be an hour wait. There were open tables but they were told they couldn't sit there because there weren't any servers for that area. The servers were to stressed out and couldn't handle any more tables We were seated and our waiter told us it was actually slow and he was bored. We ordered drinks and our meals which included soup and salad. Soup never arrived and salad arrived with main meal. They were out of spaetzle that went with the Chicken schnitzel, offered mashed potatoes instead. Chicken mushroom pasta was runny and the burger ordered was pink in the middle even though we asked for it not to be pink. It took about minutes to receive our meals so it wasnt worth sending anything back as it would have taken to long. Drinks were refilled once after our meals arrived so we sat for minutes without our server checking on us. Odd for a person who was bored. We had visted this restaurant years ago and it was quite good. After tonight's visit, we will not return."

"Pass! I made a reservation for four, including two elderly clients. When we arrived, we had to seek out a hostess who was annoyed that we would bother her to announce our arrival. She informed us that the dining room was closed but offered us couches with a low table between us. Totally inappropriate for a business meeting. She then offered us high tops for which one of my clients could barely ascend. We waited for ten minutes for a server and then left to enjoy lunch across the street at the Kinzie Street Chop House. Marshall's Landing is a place to go and have drinks and bar food. My mistake to think it's a restaurant."

"gb is in our mid-range family option stage and this review form this perspective. the service was very fast and eating was almost perfectly prepared. the only problem was the child menu. the macaroni and cheese that was ordered for our 9-year-old, looked worse than the load bought kraft mac n cheese. while the adult dinners were above the par and our steaks exactly prepared I felt that the children get short inscription here, unless they order from the adult menu. my recommendation is that her younger children share an adult experience. there are local restaurants that have begun to give more care and attention to their smaller guests, and I hope gb jumps on this trend because everything else was very pleasant."

"We visit Gordon Biersch on a regular basis. We often bring friends. Good is good and service is great. My one comment would be a request for more vegetarian items. Right now, not a single appetizer is vegetarian. The only veg meal is flatbread. Since I cannot eat meat or fish for health reasons, would like at least one more choice. Most places have an appetizer without meat, then I can get a house salad too and I am set. Please consider this."

"Two stars because the waiter was kind, he was not really attentive. I waited about 28 minutes to be greeted after being seated. 3/10 would recommend so you know what that means 10/10 would not recommend. The drink was weak and small, it was mainly ice with pineapple juice and a hint of mango purée juice. The fries were soggy oily and limp, I ask for crunchy fries but it was more of the same. Chicken was dry, I ate around it and covered the rest with my napkin. the broccoli was not cooked properly and it was crunchy to the max. The mash potatoes without any sort of gravy was dry. The whole experience was a never again for me, I always say I’ll give a restaurant a second chance but not this time. Once’s was more than enough. I wouldn’t force my worst enemy to eat there."

"We arrived early for our reservation at the restaurant. The unfriendly hostess remarked that we were early by 15 minutes, not hours. She suggested we sit at the bar, but we declined as we were planning to have dinner and preferred a table. She said she would be with us shortly. Despite the abundance of empty tables and her lack of distractions, after ten minutes we inquired if there was a reason for not being seated, to which she replied, "I have my reasons." Just as we were about to leave and go elsewhere, she finally seated us 15 feet away at one of the many empty tables. Our waitress, DAWN, was very friendly and efficient. In the future, when looking for a quick meal nearby, I will probably not consider returning to GB based on this experience. "I have my reasons," indeed. Neal."

"Rude front staff. We were stuck in traffic trying to find our way quicker to restaurant. They called at 15 min past our res and asked if we still wanted our reservation then thanked me for letting them know? Let my wife out to hurry to the table. They tried to seat her at the bar in someone else’s seat with menus then left her there. Cold shouldered us when I came in from the parking lot and my wife was walking back to the front after being abandoned at the bar. Bizarre. We were 16 min late. Been going here for years. Not sure we’re going back."

"Came here 13 years ago and was disappointed. Came back the other day, even worse experience. Although the restaurant was empty on a Wednesday afternoon, service was a disaster. Seated at 1:04pm, order taken at 1:16pm, food came out at 1:58pm. Food may have been ready earlier, seeing as it was only slightly warm by the time it was served. I asked for medium well, hold the lettuce, I got well done and dry with extra lettuce. BBQ sauce was non-existent. Water glass was empty for 20 minutes before being refilled. Only plus, nice view of downtown Tempe. Suggestion: come for the view, but bring your own lunch."

"This was our first visit to the restaurant in Tysons, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Given that only one member of our group of four drinks beer, it wasn't an obvious choice for dinner. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. One person's salad arrived much earlier than the rest of the meals, and another diner received their food a solid 10 minutes before the others, finishing before the rest were served. Additionally, dirty plates were left on the table, and we had to repeatedly flag down the waitress for more water, iced tea, ketchup, and other requests, even though the restaurant wasn't busy."

"This review is based on my first and only visit to the Bar One restaurant. I had a reservation for 10 pm for a party of 4. When my party walked in, we stood at the front desk and waited to be seated as you normally would. The staff walked past us for 15 minutes and no one asked to help us or anything. Finally, Peter (the owner) greeted us and had one of the staff members take us to a table. When we sat at the table, 15 minutes passed before the waitress brought 4 glasses of water. After that, she walked off without taking any other drink orders. Another 15 minutes passed before we received a menu. So far, we are sitting at the table for 45 minutes waiting for a waitress to take our food and drink order. Finally, the waitress comes to our table 10 minutes later to take our order. It took almost an HOUR to receive service to take our food orders. Then they ran out of the side items that we wanted. It was close to 11 pm by this time, so we just ordered the salmon bites, calamari, and salad for appetizers and a curry chicken entree. The look and taste of the food was subpar, mediocre, and nothing to write home about. The location and ambiance are okay. The staff needs to improve their customer service. There are so many better restaurant/bar options in Baltimore that I would never recommend this place for dinner or drinks. This was the worst restaurant that I have visited in Baltimore."

"We had one of the best waiters we have ever experienced at this restaurant. He was very knowledgeable about the food, its preparation, and the history of the building in Carrboro, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the salmon, while our guests had the jerk chicken tortillas. All dishes were absolutely delicious!"
