"Great place for those who love junk food! Best place for thick vegan milkshakes in New Jersey. They're vegan bettys (pancakes) are perfect for breakfast, and they're massive. Best vegan pancakes anywhere, I'm not lying. There are some healthy options, including a veggie sandwich, and a falafel platter. They do a twist on a philly cheesesteak, and you can make any grilled cheese vegan. I'd say this is a great place for families/kids, and if you're craving something sweet. "We were celebrating our anniversary and New Year’s Eve at The Newsroom. I chose The Newsroom because they have the best martini in town. Imagine my disappointment when my server informed me that the bartender made my drink without blue cheese stuffed olives because they ran out! At 7 pm. On New Year’s Eve! Plus the bartender made the martini incorrectly: I did NOT ask for a dirty martini. Not having blue cheese stuffed olives may seem like a trivial thing, but it was THE reason we chose the Newsroom. Not to mention that this martini is the FIRST drink mentioned on your drink list. I’ve been dining at the Newsroom for over 15 years and last night’s experience was a major disappointment."

"When I was searching for Mother's Day options using Open Table, I didn't see anywhere in the Herb n Kitchen information that indicated it would be a buffet. I even clicked through to the website to look at the menu The salads and main course options were fairly good. Not the best, but certainly acceptable. We ate the lunch options, not breakfast but it was nice to have options. The desserts were disappointing. The only gluten-free option was the white and chocolate mousse, which didn't really have much flavor. My mom had a couple of the cakes and said they weren't great either The shocker was the price of the buffet. Plus an additional gratuity already added on for a buffet?? It wasn't full table service, so that seemed a bit presumptuous. It would have been nice if they had at least offered a senior discount or, better yet, senior moms eat free. Given the quality of the food, the price really seemed out of line I ended up with a lunch bill for two people (we splurged on mimosas), which I definitely had not planned for given the menu on their website. Suggestions for Herb n Kitchen: Make sure the buffet, and the price, are readily available on the website. If you're charging for lunch, the food should be amazing, not just acceptable. Consider adding a complimentary cocktail. That would justify the price of the buffet a bit more. Plus, people who are drinking tend to order more than one so the free one could actually stimulate more sales. Change your dessert vendor. Dessert is important. Don't add a tip onto a buffet check. Maybe if it's more than six people, but not in general. Consider a senior discount, or a discount for all moms. Thanks for asking for my feedback."

I believe they also serve wraps. The portions are generous, filling the bowl to the top; I find that when I get the dressing on the side, the salad stays fresh for a couple of days. I appreciate how everything is chopped into bite-sized pieces, which aligns with their name, Chop Stop. While I sometimes think I could make a similar salad at home for a lower cost, I come here for the convenience, so I can't complain. I tend to load up on toppings, which can increase the price. The staff here is consistently friendly, and I'll definitely return for my next salad craving or if I want to bring a salad to a picnic. They make salads to order, and the wait is usually around 10 minutes, including the time spent waiting in line, making it suitable for a quick lunch. They also have a few tables in the shop if you prefer dining in. Personally, I often opt for the Greek salad when it's available, and I add roasted chicken for a more substantial meal; it's delicious and refreshing.I also tried the Roasted Garlic Chicken Salad, which was incredibly tasty, especially if you're a fan of garlic. The salad includes whole pieces of roasted garlic that burst with flavor. They offer free drink refills. "Horrible experience today at the Northridge location, the girl working had her back turned when we walked in and proceeded to figit with the remote control for the menu display, another Girl helped us at the register and we ordered with her while the other girl kept distracting the one ringing us up. I didn’t like my dressing and asked for the buffalo ranch, the girl working said “we don’t actually have that, it’s just on the menu” uhm excuse me? What does that even mean? They charge 35 cents for a new dressing except when the girl gave it to the other girl to give to me after I paid, she dropped it and then had to get another one. This place is a disaster, the girls are all so unprofessional, talking loudly and treating customers like they are inconvenienced by taking their orders. Never will I come back! So much unnecessary attitude!"

"We have been a long time customer of this location. The prices we paid do not match the prices they show. When we brought this to there attention, they had no explanation. There register/ terminal program does not match their displayed pricing. Either we get refunded the difference or you will lose a client. We received a email from their management team that we were charge Uber Pricing mistakenly. A refund was credited to our account and we are back to being happy clients. It probably might be best to use this as a lesson learned. If it happened to us, it probably happened to others."

"Something has changed with the balsamic vinaigrette. After my last visit, I thought the issue was just someone mixing it incorrectly. However, I experienced the same thing again today. There’s no visible balsamic; it looks and tastes like just oil. "I visited Chop Shop three days in a row, and each time they were out of honey Dijon dressing. The first time I asked to sample two different dressings, and they charged me $0.35 for the taste. While I paid, I found that very cheap and dishonest. I specifically wanted the honey Dijon, not some acidic alternatives that I didn't want. Then, two days later, on a Sunday, I ordered a salad with honey Dijon dressing. Once it was prepared, they informed me that they didn’t have it available. I asked for a refund, feeling that this was deceptive sales practice. It's very disappointing that such a business operates in this way. They lost both a sale and a customer because of their penny-pinching tactics. I believe everything should be transparent and upfront, not hidden behind tricky practices. I will make sure to share as many negative reviews about Chop Shop on social media as I can. I won’t be eating at this untrustworthy establishment again."

"I do have a couple of suggestions: first, the tables could be kept cleaner, especially when employees are sitting in the dining area and see customers wiping down their tables. Even if it's break time, it would be nice if staff could take a moment to help tidy up instead of making customers do it. Secondly, the app has some issues; I can never seem to apply a coupon code successfully, forcing me to go to the counter if I want to use a coupon. Overall, though, I will definitely return for the delicious food, and I'm glad there's a place that offers healthy fast food options."

"On October 29, 2023, I had a BBQ chicken pizza that truly hit the spot. That said, I felt it could have benefited from a little more BBQ sauce—I was craving extra sauce tonight! The pizza arrived a few minutes early, which was a nice surprise. Fall update: On October 23, 2023, I found myself craving a pepperoni pizza. I remembered that my local Blind Onion offers a happy hour special from 2-6 PM for any one-topping large pizza at just $19.45, tax included! That's an amazing deal for a gourmet pizza. I called ahead for pickup, and the gentleman who answered was friendly and told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. True to his word, it was waiting for me when I arrived, and he kindly provided some extra ranch dressing and honey upon my request. They also offer peppers and cheese upon request. I particularly enjoy dipping the braided crust in honey for a sweet finish, and there was certainly no shortage of pepperoni this time. Plus, the pizza reheats wonderfully! I even snapped a picture of their specials board to share. Update: On February 2, 2023, I’ve had Blind Onion pizza several times since my last review two months ago, and I fell in love with it all over again tonight. I even added some photos! The Blind Onion is consistently delicious and always served hot. The gourmet braided crust remains my favorite—especially when dipped in their honey. Tonight, I tried the classic General’s combo and was again not disappointed. They are generous with their toppings, which I really appreciate. I also ordered the garlic chips, which are impressively thin yet soft and flavorful. Two months ago: I am a huge fan of Blind Onion pizza! I typically order their combo, and they never skimp on the toppings. The braided crust dipped in honey at the end is a delightful treat. Their garlic chips are also quite tasty!"

"2 months later after original post... Every time that I order from this place, Joey, seems to be the ONLY employee that consistently uses his gloves! I don 't think the other employees, including the owner, realizes the importance of wearing gloves! You guys are preparing SALADS! All RAW ingredients! Therefore; its so easy to cross contaminate foods that can 't be killed with heat, because it 's RAW! there 's also another female that has long acrylic nails, she actually made my salad a couple times, and she wasn 't wearing gloves. I said something to her, and she looked at me like I was speaking in cursive! If there was a closer location, I 'd definitely stop coming here.
