The staff at the Encino Chop Stop tonight (October 31) were exceptionally friendly and accommodating! We forgot our tents, and they went out of their way to find us and ensure we received them. Such a thoughtful gesture—thank you!

Great spot for a quick salad if you are in a rush (it's ready under 10 minutes). You can expect most salads to be around $10, which on itself is not super expensive, and to be served a generous portion. My 3 favorite salads are the Santa Fe, Tuna Chicken Kale Salad. View menu

This is my favorite restaurant, but my recent visit was disappointing. While I was enjoying my salad, one of the staff members came out from the back coughing and didn't cover his mouth. The food was left uncovered, and he was close to both the food and the registers. He noticed me but seemed unconcerned. I couldn't finish my salad and ultimately had to leave because he didn't use a mask or cover his mouth. I was really hungry, but his actions ruined my meal, and I ended up throwing it away. It's hard to believe that some people think it's acceptable to cough near food.

We have been loyal customers of this establishment for a long time. However, the prices we were charged did not match the prices displayed on the menu. When we brought this to their attention, they could not provide an explanation. It seems that their register/terminal program does not align with the prices they show. We informed them that we expected either a refund for the difference or we would consider taking our business elsewhere. I typically enjoy dining at this restaurant, especially for their Viva Mexico dish, which always makes for a great experience. However, I recently encountered an unfortunate issue with customer service at the Encino location on Ventura. When I called to place a pickup order, I was put on hold for ten minutes. After calling back, I was told they were quite busy and would need a few more minutes. Upon arriving, I found that there were no other customers in the restaurant. I visited Chop Shop three days in a row, and each time they were out of honey Dijon dressing. The first time I asked to sample two different dressings, and they charged me $0.35 for the taste. While I paid, I found that very cheap and dishonest. I specifically wanted the honey Dijon, not some acidic alternatives that I didn't want. Then, two days later, on a Sunday, I ordered a salad with honey Dijon dressing. Once it was prepared, they informed me that they didn’t have it available.
