"My first visit when I arrive in Rhode Island!. Pawtucket House of Pizza is by far the first place I go to when I go to visit my family in Rhode Island. Growing up in Rhode Island, we ordered take out from PHOP on a regular basis, everything from Pizza, to Calzones, Grinders, etc. etc. <br/ <br/ To this day, this is my favorite grinders and pizza in the area, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! It is so heart warming to go in and see the same staff, cooks, and owner whenever I go back. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly to top it off!<br/ <br/ I love, love, love Pawtucket House of Pizza!!!"

"I continued to support the restaurant even after the dip in service, although my visits dropped to less than once a month. On one occasion, I was overcharged for an item when there was chicken available instead of a pricier meat, but I chose to let it slide. A few months ago, however, I had a particularly disappointing experience. The man at the counter, whom I assume is the owner or a manager, gave me a soda refill and brusquely told me, "This is your last refill." His tone was insulting, and since that encounter, I haven't returned. The picture I included is from my last visit. If the staff could speed up the food service, diners wouldn’t have to wait at their tables for 20 minutes before needing a soda refill. Most of their customers are students or employees from the nearby area, all of whom have limited lunch breaks. The previous owners and managers were very pleasant, but that hasn’t been the case with the new owner."

"I visit this restaurant at least 4 to 5 times a month and usually order the number 2 French toast meal. This morning, I called to let them know that my order was wrong. The employee admitted it was her mistake and offered to replace my French toast. However, I explained that I only realized the order was incorrect after I got home, which is about 15 to 20 minutes away. She then suggested I come back another time to claim my French toast. I told her not to worry about it and that they have lost a customer. What I would have liked to hear was an apology for the inconvenience and an offer to replace my meal, rather than the impression that they were worried about losing a small amount of money after I had already spent time and gas supporting their business for years. It’s disappointing that they weren’t willing to take responsibility for their mistake."

"I ordered the Vanderbilt!? A Philly cheesesteak with eggs!? WHAT. THE. HELL IS THIS!? What a joke. Y'all want some steak with your lettuce tomato!? $13 for this and a coffee!? It's 2023! We've been through some stuff together, life really isn't that!! SMILE!!!!! Acknowledge customers like we aren't a burden to your life. I'd you're that upset about working at a deli, QUIT!!! Close the doors and hand over the keys to someone who would DIE to be in your shoes. A welcoming greeting, a smile with the service, a little small talk. You don't have to become best friends with people but we go through our own struggles in life. Stop bringing yours to work and serving it to us. Food is basic. Needs a full renovation internally and the menu!"

"We ate here prior to a show at Second City. It is right across the street so it was very convenient. Due to marathon weekend, it was very crowded. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated right away. They seemed a little short-staffed for the number of people so we understood the slight delays we experienced in placing our drink and food orders, plus they were in the middle of a shift change. Once we ordered the food it came out pretty quickly. The drinks seemed a bit weak. My husband ordered the fish and chips and there was way too much breading on the fish. It was crispy on the outside but the inside of one of the pieces was lukewarm. My chicken sandwich was dry and could have used more sauce. Another member of our group had the burger and said it was good. I'd recommend this as a quick casual spot to grab some bar food before going to second city."

"I ended up spending almost $50 for a small cheese pizza and a half-and-half pizza (one half pepperoni). The staff member seemed displeased that I didn’t leave a tip, which I found odd. There were no offers of napkins, utensils, or ranch dressing—just a smile when I picked it up. Once home, my son only ate one slice of his pizza. It was a bit thicker, reminiscent of a pizza chain I won’t name, but it wasn't enough to satisfy us. Overall, I didn’t receive any discount, and the service wasn't great, so I’m unlikely to return. While I appreciate their support for local sports, I left feeling disappointed. Plus, I can get a free pizza from Blaze, where I always receive a warm welcome. I’m starting to wonder if I was overcharged for a basic cheese pizza priced at $20 or what’s going on, because I really can’t see how this place stays in business with that attitude!"

"Some of the best food I have ever eaten has been from the oldest looking buildings, and this place did NOT disappoint.I travel for a living, and deciding where to go while out of town can be a huge roll of the dice. I took the chance and was very well rewarded by dinner at this place. The folks here are super nice and very personable. I asked about the lasagna, and they were out, but he offered to make a whole rack fresh for me to get a portion of. I didn't want them to waste that much food thus late in the evening. I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and I mean, they were right on the money. The sauce was crazy good. The sauce was some of the best I have had in my life. Full of flavor and absolutely went perfectly with the noodles or the fresh baked loaf bread they brought out.Needless to say, this place is Fat man tested AND Fat man approved!!!I will be working here in town for next couple months amd I will be back to try the lasagna another day!!"
