"This is my favorite place... This is the third time O have been there in a 3 week period and they lately don't have the Green Sauce. I have been there 2 separate times and lately they just have the Red Sauce... And we don't find tgat out until we have ordered our food. The service and everything is still good, but something has changed and I hope they get back on track because thus really use to be the best place because you could count on getting what you ordered and the sauces were ready. I ordered 12 Rolled Tacos and was only given 2 Hot Sauces, who does that... because it eas a TO Go Order I didn't realize it until I got home. Do I have to check every TO Go order now before I leave. I have been coming here for over 15 years...something has really changed. We use to be able to count on getting the sauces and everything we ordered. Please get back to the great service you use to provide...we still love you all"

"On my first visit to Malibu Eatery (in El Segundo, not Malibu), I got some crispy Baja fish tacos (topped with cabbage, baja sauce, pico de gallo, cotija cheese) and I wasn't blown away. They were good and a nice size but I enjoy the simplicity of the fish tacos next door. I came back and tried the chicken skewers which come with one side and I was instantly hooked. The chicken is tender all white meat and has a delicious seasoning with some fresh pepper/onion slices. As far as sides, I've always been impressed with the taste, quality, and portions this goes for the sautéed corn, basmati rice, seasonal veggies, and they have some of the best hummus and pita I've had in a while. It's $5 for an extra side so I usually opt for a second for a full, hearty, well balanced meal. There's a free parking lot in the back shared amongst all the restaurants. There's a good amount of indoor seating, as well as plenty of covered patio tables outside as well where I can park my dog. Prices are on par for the South Bay, but I'd rather pay a little extra for the consistent quality, taste and care that goes into the food here. A must visit whenever I am in town."

"I used to go go to the old time Sharkeys on Reseda Blvd. It has been years, so I was happy to see one in Chatsworth. EXTREMELY disappointed. They used to have different fish. Fish of the day that one could have in a burrito. Not anymore. The only fish (listed as a “protein” for 3 dollars extra) was SALMON. sorry but not even appetizing. Salmon w Spanish beans? And rice? As a fajita? As a burrito? IF I had stayed that Salmon Burrito would have been 16 dollars. For just a burrito. I’d have to pay for a drink so it’s lunch for 20 bucks. Sorry Sharkeys. But you’ve lost your way. The salmon burrito didn’t even sound good. The other choices were chicken and tofu. Wish it was the same as the old Sharkeys, before it was sold. Original one had tables and surf movies playing and a fun atmosphere. Whoever bought it turned it into same old same old may as well be any old salsa bar takeout places. I don’t order. Salmon w beans sounded horrible. No other options of fish. Hard pass. On another note the place looked clean and well kept. But no to a burrito that will cost that much. How much salmon is in it anyways? So I drove the 90 minutes home without lunch."

"I 'm going to start off by saying 'sorry ' but this review is not going to favor the restaurant! First of all I 'm reviewing TOMAS CAFE IN OXNARD CALIFORNIA not SF. We have eaten breakfast at Tomas ' many times both before and after Covid. Having said that we have eaten at various restaurants throughout the county, so I am comparing them when referencing my issues with Tomas Cafe. When first walking into the restaurant there is no one there to greet you nor are any of the tables 'set up '. Finally when someone does come out to welcome you to their fine establishment we 're told that we can view the menu, which is spread out over the counter, and order. After putting in our orders we are told to sit at any table (tables without any napkins or silverware. When our food arrives it is on paper plates, which aren 't even pretty, accompanied with plastic forks! My husband will try Mexican breakfast meals as well as traditional plates. I love a country style breakfast with bacon or sausage as I am not a big breakfast person. But I have always told my husband 'how can you screw up a breakfast of bacon and eggs? ' Well what does it say about breakfast when all you can compliment are the eggs on your plate? My sausage links were really sad, the potatoes were poorly seasoned and the bell pepper and onion were just thrown on top! The Chile verde my husband ate was just mediocre and the beans and rice needed more flavor. I 'm sorry but I missed not having a person come over to ask if 'everything was ok '. As I said we have eaten out many times since the shutdown, also known Covid, and there are plenty of restaurants which are still greeting you as you enter and visiting your table to ensure you have a good experience. One final thought, I would not have left the tip I left when I ordered if I knew I would be as disappointed as I was. Sadly we will not be returning."

"Food is usually quite good, but sometimes it's quite awful. I've found that at a lot of Mexican places; you get the same dish each time, and 1 out of every 10 times it's really bad. The main reason for the 2 star review is the way they treat call inorders. If you call them, you're not even a 2nd class citizen, you're a nobody. They let the phone ring for minutes at a timeand sometimes never pick up. When they do pick up, they put you on hold and then forget about you, literally. That is not anexaggeration. Whenever I call, I'm put on hold and forgotten about. Usually I can last about 5 minutes before giving up. Onetime I tested to see how long it would last. I was on hold for 8 minutes before the line went dead. I called back, and asked ifthey forgot someone was on the line. They admitted they did. This would of course be excusable if it didn't happen every time.It would also be excusable if there were a long line of customers in store waiting to be served, but that's not the case: theynever put you on mute so you know whether they're helping people or not. The time I was on hold for 8 minutes, after the onecustomer that I was put on hold for, there were no other customers the entire hold time. This has been the case most other timesas well. So, managers: get your staff together and train employees how to handle the phone line. I worked in food service forover a decade, so it's not like I don't have empathy, but if you want business then you need to take orders. And you can't takemy order, or anyone other callers' because the phone line is hung, when you leave me on hold and forget about me."

"OMG! I was in the area and searched “food near me” and decided to try this spot out! Omg, best decision ever. I ordered the shrimp burrito and shrimp tacos. Very flavorful! There’s a “special” sauce in the burrito that has changed the game for my tastebuds, forever! I was perfectly fine with the Chipotle burrito for my Mexican-inspired eats, but now, I’ve seen the light!! I found the taco flour to be a bit dry and not as flavorful but the salsa verde and salsa picante gave the tacos the kick it needed and made up for the dryness."

"I have visited Sharky's multiple times. In my opinion, the food is just okay and nothing extraordinary. I enjoyed the AJ burrito, although the broccoli inside was undercooked. The tofu and veggie taco was tasty, but what really stood out was their plant-based queso and chips. I ordered a side of queso and added it to my taco. The queso was a bit thin but had a good taste with a subtle hint of spiciness. Their salsas on the side were also delicious, with the killer hot being my favorite."

"Great customer service. The place was a little cramped and I did not care for the TV that did not fit in such a small space. Even the tortillas and pitas were in the dining area for everyone to see. They have to get rid of the TV if they want to create a nicer ambiance. The food was not bad. If I come again I will try different items from the menu. I had clam chowder and a shrimp/potato taco. The clam chowder had a pillowy texture that put me off, but it had good flavor. The taco had way more potato than shrimp. I'm not sure if potato and shrimp make a good combo, but I think I prefer either shrimp or potato, but not together. For tacos of any kind, I would rather make my own at home. When I go out to eat, tacos are the last thing on my mind. I love clam chowder, but this one was not my favorite"

"It's a version of Mexican fast food, a place where you can order something to entertain yourself when you're hungry. Now, when you are paying your bill, you have the option to leave a tip but to be honest, I don't think the service deserves it, you orderat the register and you have to get up from your table to pick up your food as well as cleaning your table. I left the 15% of mibill as a tip but the employees are , in my opinion, not friendly at all, We didn't feel welcome."

"We came here for an early dinner (4:30) on a Saturday. We had a reservation, and we were promptly seated, and we were allowed to choose if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for outside. Both the inside and outside of the restaurant are beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly, and he checked on us regularly. They have a good selection of beers from local breweries. We started out with a pretzel and fried cauliflower, and I highly recommend the cauliflower! It was so good! For the main course, I had a burger, and I would definitely recommend it! It was a great experience!"

"We stumbled upon Jamacha Junction restaurant by chance, and we were thrilled with our discovery. Everything about this quaint establishment is outstanding. They consistently remember us whenever we return, and we even have our favorite table. Their soups are exceptional, especially the clam chowder served on Saturday nights—it’s the best! The portion sizes are generous, and we often end up bringing home leftovers, which my husband enjoys the next day. We’ve introduced many friends to the restaurant, and it has quickly become their favorite as well. With an elevated tone, the manager explained that it was our fault while ordering. Then she gave excuses for the employee working at the front being new. "Came here yesterday for lunch. The young lady at the cash register was very pleasant and helpful. Asked her a few questions and she was knowledgeable with the food. I had the Burrita Buchon and my wife had Aguachiles de Camaron. My food was deelish, the pork and marinade were flavorful with just a minor kick. The Mayo was a surprisingly good addition. The taste comes and goes with each bite. I kinda would like to see how it pair with crema and guac. My wife said her food was flavorful but was thrown off by how raw the shrimp were. I'd come back for the Burrita my wife would want to try the ceviche next time. We also had the lemonade with chia seeds.... Very good! We got there at 11:30 and it was a little busy but at noon it was mad crazy."

Even though it was my first time there, Yvan went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I had a fantastic experience. Having lived in New York for almost 20 years, I know good Mexican food when I taste it. Since moving from San Francisco, I had been struggling to find a great restaurant until I discovered Nacho Macho Taco. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was fantastic. When compared to other restaurants in Park Slope, this one truly captures the essence of Mexican cuisine.
