"For years I 've been in incredibly jealous of all the wonderful Polish options in Brooklyn, so much so that when I learned the infamous Krolewskie Jadlo #1) opened up in Ridgewood, I just had to go. It wasn 't exactly the same animal as it 's Greenpoint counterpart, but I still enjoyed it all the same. Fast forward 10 years, this Ridgewood location has closed and I mourn as always. The Ridgewood location was extremely similar decor wise, with this old rustic charm and was friendly for all walks of life, including a popular bar and lots of seating for mini groups. Food wise, they held true to their King 's Feast namesake. The food was like many Polish cuisine encounters: hearty, worthy of family style, and with plenty of variety. The meat options were plentiful and even simple things like pierogis were always fire. I especially loved the family platters, i.e. the plate for 3 or plate for 4 which were a mix of just about everything. It as massive as it sounds. The standouts for me were easily the beef goulash, hunter 's stew, stuffed cabbage, and of course, their in house kielbasa. The service was always on point and kind to me always. Kitchen was a tad slow on their orders every time I came here, it would never shock me to wait at least 35-40 minutes for food. I make it a point to come with good company so that a good time is always had. And while they closed, there is still a happy ending. The original Brooklyn location lives on and this location is offering the same things but under a new name #2). I hope the new spot is as enjoyable, if not better, than what it was before. ___________ #1) They are awesome: [hidden link] #2) Now Okrasa: [hidden link]"
