"Attended a rehearsal dinner here and was very impressed! Right away walking in, the lighting was great with wonderful decor. The staff was on point and very accommodating with all of my children (ranging ages 2-16 years). THE FOOD .... absolutely amazing! The presentation was just as phenominal as it tasted, and the desserts were the same. The drinks were also delicious and never went thirsty while there. I will definitely come back and recommend others to do the same! Side note: LOVE the name, so catchy! I couldn 't stop singing uptown girl in my head the whole night but replacing it with grill . You 're welcome!"

"I recently placed a takeout order at Square Roots and was extremely disappointed to find two spoiled steaks in my meat gazer bowls, which were drenched in chimichurri sauce—clearly an attempt to mask the quality. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, who unfortunately shares the name Karen, she insisted that the steaks looked fine when she boxed them up and claimed that she had checked them in the back as well. She refused to replace the meal or issue a refund, even though I offered to return the food. She stated she was the regional manager and that there was no one else I could speak to. I visit this restaurant at least twice a week, and I can't believe they would risk losing a loyal customer like me. She seemed unconcerned, saying it was up to me if I wanted to stop coming back. This situation led to a loss of $56 for us, especially since my partner even tipped $10 on a pickup order, and we were left hungry. My family and I have been frequenting this restaurant 2-3 times a week for about six months, and we always tip generously. However, this experience has made it clear that we will not return. I request a refund and would like to speak to someone who can help me with this matter. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers."

"Last two times I ate the Brisket and the Steak. I was very disappointed at her. Both times the meat was dry and chewing. I suggest you stick to the Deli plates or the burgers. Even when I ordered a diet coke, I was told they were out. How to run a restaurant from one of the most popular soft drinks. After dinner, the waiter brought the dessert dish. I chose a Danish. What a surprise that was also dried out. The only plus for the whole evening was or wait. He was very attentive and offered to inform the chef about the problems I had."

"I was sick when we went here so I didn't eat, but I checked their vegan options because they weren't listed online. they had a list of vegan dishes. when we came to dinner, there was only one left. You could get salat, but you would have to take meat, cheese, etc. they also had veggie sides, some of which were vegan. I personally wouldn't try to eat here anymore. my family enjoyed it."

"Everything was fantastic. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is the location. As a covid conscious individual, outdoor dining is important to me. So while there is outside dining, the location is next to a gas station and behind an office supply company. The food was fantastic. I got a veggie soup to start out with and shared a side of calamari. After that I treated myself to a delicious grilled salmon dish on top of some sweet Yukon potatoes."

"Our favorite haunt, McNallys, was closed so we decided to try Tavern on the Hill. First impression: dark inside, not many customers, one awesome bartender holding down the fort. Our BLT sandwiches were the best! I added avocado, the freshest lettuce, abundant of crispy bacon. It was memorable! I would go back! (But it was so dark inside."

"No health food here, but I enjoyed it.Food: Tater tots with some bacon good, Pierogis were breaded and deep fried, I didn 't love them, Pretzel sticks very good, Italian sausage sandwich just had one sausage, but it was good, rib eye a little dry, but OK. Price: Moderate.Service: Friendly and very efficient.Atmosphere: Very plain. One might say blue collar, but that doesn 't explain how basic it is. Only high tops in the bar area which surprisingly were very comfortable. They had regular chairs and tables outside in a plastic tent with propane heaters. When the music came on and we couldn 't hear each other talk, but that 's to be expected when you go to see live rock music.Drinks: They were out of Kane Head High, so I tried Last wave IPA, which wasn 't that good. Then I had Dogfish 60 IPA in a bottle which was decent.I will be back."

"Urban Plates has a casual cafeteria and restaurant atmosphere. There's a large menu posted outside, allowing you to decide what you'd like before entering. You place your order at the register where you also receive your drinks, and then you're given a number to put at your chosen table. They offer a selection of wine and beer, along with a self-serve water station. The ambiance is very earthy, enhanced by the plants and succulents adorning the space, including your table. You can choose to sit inside, on the covered patio, or at umbrella-shaded tables near the street. The food is fantastic, though portion sizes could be a bit larger. I often order the salmon with beets for $16, but the chimichurri steak for $18 is also incredibly tasty! Each dish is beautifully presented, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Since Urban Plates is conveniently located next to the movie theater, it makes for a great spot to grab a meal before catching a discounted movie on Tuesday nights!"

"When we arrived we were told our table was being cleaned and would be just a few more minutes. In reality, they had overlooked our reservation, which we later found out when they came to the table and asked for our name and reservation for a third time. Food was not very good. I ordered the tilapia (fish of the day) it came out fried, not blackened as advertised. No offer to remake. My husband ordered a burger, but got chicken. The waiter offered to take it back, but told him it would probably take a while and didn't know of he'd want to wait. Also forgot my salad and had to get it taken off the ticket. Probably won't be going back after this experience, which is a disappointment, because this was one of my favorite restaurants when we were here a couple years ago."

"Oh my goodness, Cheeburger Cheeburger is absolutely fantastic! It’s a place I eagerly anticipate visiting whenever I'm in St. Louis. What really sets it apart is their amazing selection of approximately 30 milkshake flavors, all of which can be turned into malts. It's simply wonderful! The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and they offer an excellent burger with a wide range of toppings to choose from. The portions are enormous, particularly the soft and delicious fries—you definitely won’t be able to finish them all! Everything is incredibly tasty. You really need to give it a try!"

"went to st. arnold with a friend who also loves to smile. the cuddles were good, not great, and the wine list was extremely limited, although the beer list was extensive. the salat that could be replaced for the riders that usually come with the mushes was an ok-dining experience, probably would not be my first choice for muscheln1"

"The atmosphere was very romantic. From Valet to the end of our meal we felt pampered. We sat outside on the big open deck. It was carefully designed and simply illuminated enough. The koi pond was a beautiful touch. The food was also incredible. The homemade bread was a great start. I had the seafood procuitto fatuccine and enjoyed every last bite. My friend enjoyed ribeye, potatoes and onion straw. She finished with the cream’ brûlée she said was good, but needed more vanilla taste. I finished with a delicious cappuccino. The wine list was long and next time I definitely have to taste a bottle. The wine through the glass is limited to an option in Merlot, Cabernet and Pinot Noir. I lean on wine mixes and felt no more than a glass at night. After all, our waiter John was friendly and prompt. He had a lot of menu knowledge and we enjoyed the information he had about places to go in Ft. Myers during our stay. We'll be here on the next holiday. Very recommended to check this."

"Absolutely horrible service. I ordered a half plain half margarita pizza they said it would take 45 minutes. First of all, it took over an hour. Second, they delivered a cold, plain pizza that wasn't even good. Third, when I called them they were rude to me but they did say they would give me a refund and the driver messed up gave us the wrong pizza. They never gave me my refund so I ended up paying 25 bucks for a cold shitty plain pizza. I'm never going back and I hope no one else does either that's totally unacceptable. There's tons of places in the area that are great like Anthony Franco's or famous ray's both of them right down the street. I'd give em 0 starts if i could"

"As soon as we sat down outside, which was really nice, the young bus person spilled a huge cup of ice water on my 3 year old grandson. He was completely soaked. The young man apologized and vanished immediately never to be seen again. We ordered our drink, appetizers , and food via an app. Everything came out at the same time. There are no wait persons just food runners and bus people. The food was ok, mostly sysco corporate pre made food. The portions where large. The outdoor area was nice. I paid our check via the app and left. Had pretty much no contact with staff other than the free ice water bath. I would not return."

"I have been to st Arnold's a few times and every time it is wonderful. The people are nice, the beer is good and the food is awesome. I went here with 16 other people to celebrate my graduation and we were treated so well. The waitress was awesome and never missed a beat. I would recommend to anyone"

"I was going to bite my tongue and keep this to myself, but I’ve decided against that. I came here Sunday evening for dinner and was immediately turned off by a complete lack of kind service. The hostess that seated us didn’t even give a smile or anything. No worries there, it happens. Maybe it’s just an off day. Then, we sit at our table for just about 15 minutes and get no help. Not any help, no check in from any staff, not even a “we’ll be with you shortly”. NOTHING. At this point I just want some food and would rather go somewhere a bit faster. We get up to leave, as no one has been over to help us, and just as we walk out we hear “-and don’t come back!” from someone inside. Is there a chance it was directed at someone/something else? Sure. Why not. But that mixed with the COMPLETE lack of service was completely uncalled for. I absolutely do not and will not recommend this place ever again. We used to come here all the time, so we’ll miss the food but we absolutely will not miss the atmosphere."

"The portion sizes and food quality we received were significantly worse than before. I ordered the same dish as I had in the past, but they served me about half the amount of meat, which was overcooked and burnt. The meat was tough and felt like chewing on rubber. You can see the stark difference in the photos; the third photo shows my previous order with a generous portion and better presentation, while the first photo reflects my latest meal. I genuinely felt like I had received a kids' menu dish. It wasn’t just me; my friend ordered the same dish and received even less than I did. Another friend ordered a beef sandwich, which looked terrible. The beef was overcooked and, while I didn't taste it myself, it certainly didn't look appetizing. There was a lot of char on the meat, and he mentioned that it was very tough. After receiving that disappointing chicken plate, I showed them the past photo. They did provide us with extra chicken, which seems like a reasonable response given the evident difference in portion size. However, even the additional meat was overcooked and rubbery, as seen in the fourth and fifth photos. I don't understand how Urban Plates has changed so drastically. Perhaps they hired a new chef, or maybe the chef had enjoyed one too many drinks? Either way, Urban Plates needs to put more effort into maintaining their food quality. This meal certainly wasn't worth $18—I would say it was worth a maximum of $10, including the tip."
