"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"We spent a significant amount of money on our order, but unfortunately, only one item was correct. I ordered an avocado salad to go with my chimichanga, but it was missing. My son requested the nachos supreme, and instead received two small beef enchiladas. My husband ordered the enchiladas supreme and received what he wanted. I understand that we placed our delivery order 45 minutes before El Vacaros was set to close, but that does not justify receiving anything less than what we paid for! When we dine in, they never place the cheese sauce on the side, despite my repeated requests. And for delivery, we didn’t even receive half of what we ordered. Because of these issues, I am not inclined to return to El Vacaros."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"I'm honest, eating is good. the service is terrible. I have called several times to order food for the collection. the men who take my command are super rude and sometimes have taken my order, but not in the did. So when I come to pick up the order, I have to wait 15-20min. a few times when the young work there, see me with settings when they find out that I placed the order on the phone. once I didn't take my phone statement, I waited for 15min, then I get my lunch. I'm just coming home to find out they don't contain tortillas. I'm going back and when I'm here, the men laugh while they give me my tortillas. If it wasn't about the taste and the food price, I wouldn't even eat here again."

"Went with a friend after work, it was a full house on a weekday evening. We made it to happy house and ordered two rounds of drinks, mojito and margaritas. The mojito was not made was mojito mint, could be spare mint. It had a more spicy rather thansweet taste. We both ordered steak fajitas, the meal was delicious. Octopus could have been more flavorful but was nicely fried. We also got Mexican street corn as an app and it was alright. Very cute decor on walls around the room. Service was quick andpolite, would visit again."

"Went here for brunch on Easter Sunday. Got a meat filled breakfast burrito. It was tasty, however, there may have been too many different kinds of meat in it as it was difficult telling what I was tasting at times. They had complimentary mimosas on this day. The mimosas were a little too heavy on the OJ, but hey, they were complimentary. My family split a shrimp cocktail which consisted of over a dozen shrimp, so great portion size. Best of all, it was a great deal for the price of the meal. Walked away with a full belly without breaking the bank. Can't wait to go back again"

"We have a really big Running/Walking Group and just finished a race. We were looking for a place that could handle a group our size, on a Saturday, with an outside seating area (we were pretty active in that race Shoal Creek has a great enclosed/outdoor seating area. We were able to use that without disturbing their regular Brunch guests. First the accommodations: 5 star The Managers (Valerie Trey) were very kind and helpful. We had been turned away from a few places because they didn't have an outdoor space and couldn't fit a group our size. Valerie Trey never even blinked. They said of course and just come by and we will take care of you, and they didn't disappoint. Wait Staff: 5 Star Micaiah Hannah B were there for us without being intrusive, professional and attentive, just all around wonderful. We will be back in August and hope we have them as out wait staff again. Food: We ordered from the Brunch menu (see pic) but they have the full menu as well. The food was perfectly prepared (my complements to the Chef). It was so delicious, everyone just kept saying how good it was. This will be a regular place for us now, we feel like they are part of our Group. Thank you Shoal Creek for a great Brunch!"

"I am really glad to have tried this place. I would have never known about it if my friend had suggested we try it out. They have quite a few options on their lunch menu and regular menu. The calamari definitely was the favorite, but I also enjoyed the friedzucchini. The Boston clam chowder was good, but I want to try their red chowder next time out of curiosity. Both the fried andgrilled seafood were cooked and seasoned well."

"A few weeks ago, I visited Bar Bruno, a charming Mexican Bistro that knows how to play with flavors. With each bite, I found myself already plotting my next visit. Bar Bruno is the perfect neighborhood spot and a MUST-VISIT. While I won't wax poetic about the decor, the ambiance cradles you in its warm embrace. For an after-work cocktail, an impromptu date night, or simply a delightful meal—Bar Bruno is a beautiful option. Oh, and did I mention they serve brunch? The staff embodies warmth, extending a welcome that feels like a hug in the form of impeccable service—the food dances on your palate, a perfect companion to your choice of libation. On my first visit, I indulged in a taco trio featuring steak, fish, and shrimp, a true palate pleaser. This time around, we explored their dinner menu. We initiated the feast with Guacamole and Plantains, then ventured onto the Chopped Cheese Wraps, Burger Tacos, and Quinoa Veggie Burgers. For the grand finale—we ended on a sweet note with the Flan and Dessert Nachos. Guacamole is not my usual pick, but the pumpkin seeds made it a flavorful and adventurous choice. The Plantains was the perfect harmony of sweet and savory, transcending a mere appetizer to become the ultimate side dish. The Chopped Cheese Wrap deserves a standing ovation. A mouthwatering blend of pepper jack cheese and onions—makes it an absolute must-order. The Quinoa Veggie Burger, a vegetarian delight, tasted so good that I momentarily forgot it was meatless. But the crown jewel of the evening? The Burger Tacos—imagine the perfect burger and a delightful taco having a culinary love affair. And guess what? The French fries are in the tacos. Genius. And the dessert? The Flan and Dessert Nachos brought our memorable meal to a sweet conclusion. While dinner was an absolute delight, I'd gladly return for the margaritas. These concoctions are in a league of their own, perfectly balanced with a burst of flavor that avoids the pitfall of excessive sweetness. Passion Fruit and Strawberry were our picks, and they left us craving more. This visit to Bar Bruno was nothing short of a wonderful, unforgettable experience, and I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit with their tempting menu."

"I'm going to miss these fine folks after September 29th. Grateful to have reservations to eat there 2 more times before they retire and move on to the next chapter of their lives. Thank you for all of the great meals, the wonderful, warm service and those fabulous icy cucumber basil martinis. Cheers my friends!!"

"Had a great dinner at Firefly. The mark of a great restrauant…. they don’t have a Mai Tai on the menu but they made one for my husband that was delicious and my purple haze was strong and devine! We were debating on the go-go bread for an app and N8 our waiter brought me out a taste of the Gorgonzola fondue to try because I do not like Gorgonzola cheese. That is a great waiter! He was attentive and gave great suggestions! The bartender, Nicko made the best cocktails, very flavorful and potent! Apps were the go-go bread and caprese- both so good, but I forgot to get pictures! Dinner was the flank steak special with mashed potatoes, broccolini and the Gorgonzola sauce for my husband- I think he almost licked the plate! I had the scallops with a pesto risotto and a balsamic drizzle. Along with a second cocktail- the lavender gin gimlet- all of it was soooooo good! We split a peanut butter pie for dessert, which like the rest of the meal was wonderful! Highly recommend Firefly- you won’t be disappointed!"

"Great food prices. I had the fajitas Texan which had steak chicken shrimp. My friend had chicken enchiladas. The guacamole was fresh delicious. Complimentary tortilla chips with the definitely homemade salsa was excellent as well. Strawberry margaritas on the rocks was also delicious. Friendly wait staff. Other than the lights being fairly bright, definitely recommend."

"It took us a while to find the entrance because we saw the hotel first and signs inside aren 't very helpful. When we did finally find it, we saw the long line as expected for a Sunday afternoon but we gave it a shot anyway. We asked the doorman if we could just get drinks and he was very friendly and told us to come on in. The line to get into the elevator to get up is very, very hot but we survived. Everyone was very friendly during this process. We get up there and findtables filled with brunch goers all dressed up. We found refuge in the second bar where there were little tables. The barman there was very curt and said he was still setting up (he was setting up the whole time we were there). So we wentto the main bar outside and ordered our drinks. The decorations and drinks are gimmicky but that 's what makes it fun! We got three cocktails and all of them were amazing and didn 't make me feel sick with sugar! It 's fun watching all thecreative drinks and food dishes come out."

"In total, we spent 1 hour and 10 minutes (not counting the initial wait to be seated) without receiving any food—just our drinks! With a movie starting in 15 minutes, we realized we couldn’t possibly eat. To make matters worse, we couldn't even get anyone to bring us the check for our drinks. We ended up leaving $25 on the table for four soft drinks since we didn’t have any change. We watched as the tables around us were cleared and re-seated multiple times while we waited. Our party was small—just two adults and three well-behaved kids. We left feeling hungry, undervalued, and ignored. It made us wonder why our patronage seemed unwanted. I've visited this restaurant many times in the past and have never experienced anything like this, and I certainly won't be returning."

"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"Went with family for my aunt’s birthday. No one was at the host station to seat us and when someone did come it was one of the waiters. After a few minutes we got the salsa and chips. However, as we are waiting there was constant singing. I don’t mindlive entertainment but it seemed like the band was playing to almost every table. Fifteen to 20 more minutes pass by and thewaiter comes by to get our drinks. When the drinks finally come, only two come because the iced tea is “freshly brewed”.Both drinks are watered down. As the waiter takes our order we feel a sense of being rushed? And forget about asking anyquestions pertaining to the dish you want, it won’t really be answered. We eventually decided to walk out after waiting foranother twenty minutes(the place was NOT packed at all and the other drinks STILL had not come out yet. As we are about to walkaway the waiter states our food is “almost done” “it’s already done” and we ask for it to go. He clearly packs it uphurriedly so we can pay and go. DO NOT PAY WITH CARD! We read that they like to dip in and take tip amounts off your card whenthey feel like it. Anyways, my mother’s food was cold (how when you claimed it was just made? fried calamari shouldn’t becold… the food didn’t smell right from the bag, the beans looked terrible and cold. We won’t be coming here again. Just goto Cast Iron down the way!!"

"The experience overall was amazing. The food, the setting, the crowd, everything about this place was amazing from top to bottom. The only part that made this experience poor was our server, Gregory. He enjoyed serving food, drinks, napkins to everyone else around us, but any request from would seem like a huge chore for him. He was friendly when needed to be, but would avoid us at all costs if it weren’t for removing plates or receiving our check. He knowingly got our desert order incorrect and would take his time to attend to us when we would ask for assistance. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone, but Gregory would be the only downfall to their experience if they were to be in our shoes."

"Would definitely recommend this place. Good food, not terribly expensive (though it's under a very expensive complex, surprisingly). We have been here three times and have had a great experience each time. I really recommend their shrimp tacos and their house potato fry things. Never seems busy, which is odd. Parking is kind of confusing but luckily city street parking is close and inexpensive. They also offer valet, though I've never used it. "We stumbled upon this place while looking for a bite to eat near our hotel, and what a pleasant discovery it was! The restaurant is clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. When our food arrived, we couldn’t help but praise the cooks. The fries were lightly battered, perfectly crisp, and absolutely delicious. The fish and chips were the best we’ve ever had—fresh, lightly fried, and full of flavor. I even took pictures to show just how fresh the fish was! The hamburger was cooked to perfection as well. Overall, this restaurant offered a wonderful experience, both in terms of the food and the exceptional service, especially from April. Thank you for such a great time—we’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Cape Canaveral!"
