"Getting Better!. We tried Cattle Baron after swearing we never would again. Apparently there is a new manager, Rick, and he's terrific! We watched him greet guests, work with the cooks, and make sure the food was right before it got out to the tables. He even made the effort to greet us at our table to make sure we were happy with our plates. I had the filet and while it was cooked correctly, I would have liked a little more seasoning or something. The texture was really good, but it just needed something. My husband ordered the biggest prime rib and we were surprised that the cooking temperature was consistent on that, too! The baked potatoes are what you would expect. The highlight was the green chile won tons and sauteed mushrooms. The salad bar looks so much better than it used to! That was the biggest surprise! It was clean and well stocked with a lot of variety. The soups were good. We didn't come to Cattle Baron for soup, but its nice to have options. Our server was very friendly and we felt that the pace of the meal was actually perfect. The restaurant looks A LOT cleaner than it did the last time we were in about 2 years ago. Definitely worth a second chance!"
