"I would like to start off my review of Sofia Restaurant with the Atmosphere it is absolutely beautiful, the giant paper Mache tree behind the bar is absolutely beautiful and adds a great astatic to the over all ambiance, transporting you to the Mediterranean giving you the feeling your enjoying a gorgeous meal off the coast of Athens, Greece . Our waitress Anastasia was an absolute delight her knowledge of the menu and her pairing of the wine to our individual needs as well as recommending something which will compliment our meal as she did just put our overall experience over the top. I give the Staff the restaurant and the overall atmosphere of Sofia restaurant 5 stars and would highly recommend it to any and all who are looking for an experience above all the rest Parking: The restaurant has its own private lot with a valet and if they are full or your just worried about being able to get out and go once your done without having to wait for your car there is plenty of parking on the street"

"Today, I ordered a Tangier omelette and lentil soup from a restaurant through GrubHub. I can't provide feedback on the soup as I will be having it for dinner later, but I was disappointed with the omelette. The seasoning in the eggs and potatoes was good, but the avocado was overripe and very brown. It seemed like someone had intentionally chosen a bad avocado for this paid service. Despite the restaurant's great reviews, I feel like I received a subpar order, so I don't think I will be ordering from here again."

"I want to share an unfortunate experience I had at this restaurant recently, where I was refused service, seemingly due to my Asian background. I was waiting at the front desk for a table when a man ahead of me asked for a seat. The host initially told him there were no available seats and that he would need to wait a moment, but when the man suggested sitting at the bar, the host immediately checked and allowed him to sit at the bar area. Afterward, the host spoke to a group next to me, and one of the women in the group pointed out that I had arrived first. The host acknowledged this but continued talking with the group about their wait for a table. Finally, the host turned to me. I explained that I was also dining alone and asked if I could sit at the bar like the previous man. However, the host told me that the bar wasn’t serving yet and I would need to wait over an hour for a table. I thanked him and decided to look for another restaurant. As I stood at the entrance, I noticed several people who arrived after me were seated at the bar, but I was the only one turned away. To make matters worse, I was the only Asian person there. I left feeling hurt, as it seemed like I was being treated differently because of my ethnicity. It was a disheartening moment in Seattle, where people are usually friendly, and many Asians live here. I later went to another restaurant where the staff welcomed me warmly and even chatted with me. The contrast was stark, making me feel that my initial experience might have been an instance of racial discrimination. It’s something I never expected to encounter in such a diverse and friendly city."

"The service and atmosphere were very nice, and while the food was very tasty, I have a major gripe. I ordered steak au poivre for my main, a French staple, but I did not receive steak au poivre. This is my favorite steak to order at restaurants and make at home. It's supposed to have a brandy peppercorn cream sauce. What I received seemed to be a demi glace or perhaps a bordelaise. Either way, it had neither brandy, peppercorn or cream in it. It was a dark brown semi-transleuscent sauce with what may have been small chunks of carrots? And while tasty and fine, it wasn't what I wanted, ordered or expected. I didn't say anything to the server because if they got an au poivre sauce so very wrong, I really didn't see a point in trying to fix it because they either thought what they served was fine, or whoever made it couldn't make the correct sauce."

"Our first time eating here, and I will say it was surprisingly nice experience. They start off with such a generous portion of pita bread with olive oil/olives. We also had a starter of spicy feta, we all loved it! I would highly recommend the spicy feta if you are a fan of spicy foods. We were indecisive as far as what to order for our entree but our waitress helped and told us to order the meat platter, as if would definitely be enough for the 3 of us with leftovers for takeaway. (She was right). The chicken was juicy and very tasty, gyro was ok, a bit on the dryer side and the bifteki was juicy and full of flavor. We had a side of Greek Fries (recommended) and spinach and rice. Totally worth the $40. We finished up with Greek coffee and baklava, both very tasty and baklava was not too sweet, which we appreciated. Now the service was a bit off, waitress was slammed with tables and seemed to be the only person taking orders, and was completely overwhelmed. The manager/owner was out helping but they were definitely short staffed. I would definitely still recommend the restaurant and come back again."

"I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was amazingly good and freshly prepared. I tried the well-done lamb kabobs, hummus with pita bread, and a plate of gyro meat, all of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family. "Ive been coming here for years, And yesterday night I ordered my usual regular Lamb Gyro and fries.. and to my disappointment while I Was unwrapping the foil for the gyro there was obscene amount lettuce and tomatoes with no sight of the meat but just two slices of chicken slices of what it appeared to be chicken instead of lamb which i didnt even order.. this is no exaggeration… And the fries were soggy and stale… I don’t know what happened but the quality of this place went down hill.. it wil … – show"

"My daughter and I were looking forward to try a true Lebanese restaurant in SF, with real Lebanese food. We were not disappointed! They even have Lebanese beer, Almaza! For starters we were treated with oregano pita chips and 2 dips: tehine, and hot sauce. We ordered one cold appetizers Makdous) and one hot appetizer Artichoke au Gratin) , both were delicious. We share one entree, Bulgur Kebab, a great combination of a Lebanese staple with three meats, lamb, beef and chicken, topped with a variety of veggies, all cooked to perfection.I loved it! It felt like home. And the cherry on the cake was the unique experience of being one of the first to try their new desert, a baklava filled with nuts and rose water, graciously offered by the owner to go with the traditional Lebanese coffee we ordered. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The service was prompt. Overall great value for the money. Will definitely come back and recommend."

"We visited DarNa on a Sunday night on the strength of its reviews. What we didn't realize is that it is essentially places: a restaurant space on the ground floor; and a restaurant/bar/music venue/hookah bar on the second floor. The restaurant was completely dead, we were the only ones there, and it made us a little nervous because we were afraid that it would be terrible. It was not. The food was very good in fact, and the service was friendly but slow and inattentive, quite surprising since we were the only ones there. Apparently the hookah bar on top is open until most nights, and while we were dining by ourselves in the rather dark and deserted restaurant below, the place upstairs was hopping. Perhaps all their resources are focused upstairs and they don't have the staff to deal with both levels at once. Don't know whether I want to eat in a hookah bar, but maybe it would be interesting. I would not go back to the restaurant part. Although the food was good, and it appeared clean and nice-looking, the complete lack of anyone there, and the relatively inattentive service offset the generally quite good food. Maybe it's just that it was a Sunday night at Apparently nothing about DarNa gets going until much later in the evening. If I were looking for a late night place to drink and hang out, I might come back to the upper part"

The Zataar bread was a standout—it was arguably the best I've had in the Dallas-Fort Worth area! For meat lovers, the highlight is undoubtedly the impressive selection of meat dishes. They serve chicken, lamb, beef, and fish prepared in various ways—kebabs, roasted, grilled, or in curry—all exceptionally delicious and bursting with flavor. While the buffet price may be on the higher side, I believe it's justified given the quality and quantity of food offered. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!"

"OMG! So if you have read some of my other reviews, you 'll know my wife and I spent 20+ years in the Middle East. We usually eat across the street when we want some Arabic/Mediterranean food but we finally made it to here for the lunch buffet. Not even halfway through our first plates we both looked at each other and said 'why did we wait so long to try this place? ' Don 't wait. Even if you are not a fan of the herbs and spices of Mediterranean dishes, this place will do wonders for you appetite and senses. We loved every item we tried and the hummus was some of the creamiest blend we 've had Stateside. This will now be a regular stop for us and already looking forward to the next visit to try what we couldn 't fit in this time. Great attentive staff as well. Clean, friendly and gets really busy at lunch."

"This was our first visit to Medi Terra, but it definitely won't be our last. Located in downtown Boca, parking can be a bit tricky, so be sure to allow extra time to find a spot, especially during peak hours. This restaurant is a haven for food lovers. If you’re after large portions of cheap and flavorless food, this isn’t the place for you. Everything we tried, from the pita and hummus to the special scallop appetizer and our main dishes, was exceptional. My husband enjoyed a yellowtail fish special that was rich and full of flavor, while I savored the Spanish clams tapas—I could have easily eaten an entire bowl of them! We topped off our meal with a decadent chocolate cake and a Nutella martini. It's evident that everyone involved in this restaurant cares deeply about what they serve. During our visit, the chef, Michael, came by to chat with us—he and his son, who also joined us, are truly delightful people, and they opened the restaurant about six months ago. I hesitate to give Medi Terra a five-star review because I want to keep it a secret and not struggle to get a reservation in the future, but if I could give it ten stars, I absolutely would. This restaurant truly deserves all the success in the world. You should definitely give it a try!"
