"The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, and although I haven't dined here yet, I have a feeling the food is quite good. However, it's a bit disappointing that the owner invested significantly in creating such a lovely space, yet neglected to accommodate the staff and delivery personnel by constructing a challenging 10-step concrete path out back, followed by four wooden steps leading to a 4x4 wooden deck that lacks snow removal. Since my last review, I've noticed that the owner has decided to backfill the 10-step path. This indicates that the owner truly values the opinions of others, which is definitely a positive trait in the restaurant industry."

"I can't believe what I only spend $16 plus $4 tip! Worst pizza I've ever eaten! I even tried to cook it longer! And so small! I would have been better off with a frozen pizza! Defanatly would have more taste and the crust was terrible! It's frozen dough! So bad! It was my first delivery and it will be my last!"

"I absolutely adore this restaurant! It definitely feels like a cozy family-run establishment with top-notch hospitality. The food is amazing, especially the desserts, and the drinks are outstanding. The bar staff and servers are friendly and efficient. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Streamwood! If I could give it 10 stars, I would, but 5 stars will have to do. Joanna is fantastic! Make sure to try their famous Jojo bombs. I will definitely be back here again and again!"

"Rosecliff is a lovely, laid-back spot for food and drinks. The cuisine is excellent, and I definitely recommend giving it a try. Takeout is also an option. We often order the fish sandwiches, which are generous in size and incredibly tasty. I also recommend the Reuben and chicken sandwiches, as well as their salads, which are delightful. I'm confident the rest of the menu is just as delicious, as I always see diners enjoying their meals. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is well-maintained. There’s a nice outdoor seating area that’s perfect for enjoying the weather when it’s pleasant. I rate Rosecliff an A+ and highly recommend it! Note: This restaurant is for those 21 and older."

"This used to be our favorite pizza place in the neighborhood. I grew up near the original location on 63rd Street. However, the quality and flavor have really declined recently. They've altered the dough recipe, making it thicker and drier than it used to be. Additionally, Palermo's is famous for its signature pizza sauce, but it seems they've changed that as well. Today, we ordered two of their pizzas (which were not cheap, totaling nearly $70) and were extremely disappointed. The taste and quality are nothing like what they used to be. It was worth the price before, but it's no longer the same. Unfortunately, it looks like this is the end of the line for me and Palermo's. It's truly a shame."

"The husband and I just went for our 12 year anniversary and everything was amazing! Service was very attentive and the food was so, so delicious! We had fried mushrooms, duck wontons, the Ragin' Cajun burger, the prime-rib melt, and beignets. I don't have one complaint. The sweet tea was sweet, the food came out quickly, the prices were fair, and the customer service was top-tier. We'll be back again!"

"I arrived at a relaxed 7:15 p.m., greeted by the sounds of "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, which set a great tone before we even placed our orders. I opted for the fish tacos, which were delicious — the sauce on the blackened fish was a highlight. My wife ordered the burger topped with bacon and a fried egg, which she enjoyed as well. I exchanged one of my tacos for half of her burger, and it was a tasty trade. I also tried the only hard cider available, which was from Virginia and worth a taste. The fries were decent too. Overall, I highly recommend giving the food here a try. I have no complaints about the experience—everything was enjoyable!"

"We visited Mangia's at 3:30 PM, when things were quiet. Unfortunately, the restaurant already had two strikes against it before we even sat down. The tables were dirty, and the floor was in disarray. The person responsible for seating guests was at the bar having a meal. The sign indicated 'Please seat yourself,' but we ended up waiting for that staff member to come and clean the tables, which he shouted at us from across the restaurant. When he finally took our drink and food orders, he wasn't very friendly. On the bright side, the food was absolutely fantastic! This is truly authentic Chicago-style pizza! They excelled in the most challenging aspect (the food) while faltering in the simpler areas (service and cleanliness). It’s puzzling! Despite the shortcomings, I would likely return to eat here again!"

"If your claim to fame is ?good food and friendly service? the staff should extend the friendly service part to their interactions on the phone. We called the morning of November 21 at 6:55. I understand they don?t open until 7 but we figured ifthey answered they could take our order. Instead, when we asked to place an order we were met with a woman who said ?we aren?topen yet, you are going to need to give us 10-15 minutes?. That is not friendly service. It?s bizarre they would answer thephone if they and then say they won?t take an order until 5-10 minutes after they open. When we did call at 7:10AM she took theorder, but she still had an annoyed tone. Overall, we felt like unvalued customers. Unfortunately the less than stellarexperience didn?t stop here. The Avocado Eggs Benedict was not good. The egg was way over done, not runny at all and for somereason whoever prepared this thought that brown avocados was a good touch. The corned beef hash and the French toast just plaintasted bad. The tacos and the hash browns were ok. This was a really poor experience and we won?t be back and I recommend youfind somewhere else for your breakfast needs. McDonald?s would?ve been a better bet than the Pelican Grill. Additionally, Ireached out to the business via email and never received a response back. Clearly this business does not care about theircustomers whatsoever."

"This use to be a good place to go for a meal, not any more. It took 5 minutes before we got acknowledge another 4 minutes to receive a cup of coffee and then 15 more minutes to receive a bagel. After the bagel it took another 8 minutes to receive a second cup of coffee. The food was good, the meal reasonable, the service terrible."
