"I would recommend this restaurant, but our last visit was disappointing due to the terrible service. We waited a long time just for our drinks, and eventually had to remind the server. Even after reminding her, it took another 5 minutes for her to bring my son's milk. When our food was delivered by another waitress, she didn't offer any parmesan cheese. The original waitress then returned, but still did not offer us any. Overall, the experience was horrible and left us very disappointed."

"My family and I came for dinner this past Sunday evening. The hostess didn't seem to be happy to be at work. Bummer because she is the first person we see when walking in for dinner. Our server, Dylan, however, was super friendly and very attentive. I ordered a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium, and it came out well done. Wasn't very tasty at all, but the 2 broccoli sides, shrimp, and the parmesan sauce were really good. The house salad was amazing. 4/24: I ordered the Whisky Bacon burger. It was ok. Didn't have too much flavor like I was expecting it to have. Fries were cooked perfectly. Side salad with Ranch was great. The server, Chris, was kind and attentive. We also ordered an appetizer of the Boneless Wings. Those were good!"

"Today’s dining experience felt a bit fancy, like a date night, at this Applebee's. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but it was definitely worth the visit. We were seated quickly, just in time for the half-off happy hour on appetizers. As soon as our waitress, Liz C, arrived, it was clear she was knowledgeable about the menu and the food. Her service was top-notch—she consistently checked on our table and made great recommendations for our meals. The table was clean, our drinks were always filled, and our food was prepared perfectly without feeling rushed. The Buffalo wings we ordered were cooked just right—not overly sauced at all. Even while we were still enjoying our appetizers, Liz politely asked if we were ready for our entrees, which is a pleasant rarity. I asked for her input on the best dishes, and she really hit the mark with her suggestions. Overall, this is definitely a place I plan to return to for the excellent service, delicious food, and great atmosphere. I would rate the cooks a 5 out of 5 and Liz, our waitress, a perfect 5 out of 5 as well. Keep up the fantastic work!"

"We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken right away. The food arrived quickly and was all prepared correctly. The waitress made sure to check that our steaks were cooked to our liking. She provided excellent service and was very friendly. The meal was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. Despite a stink bug trying to join us, we named him Timmy and kindly sent him on his way."

"I 've had good experiences with Applebee 's in the past, but not this time. The food was okay but could have been better. Some of the chips with our appetizer were stale, and the broccoli in the pasta was undercooked. When we arrived, we were told we would have to wait 15 20 minutes for a table, without explanation. There were several empty tables the restaurant was nearly empty, and there were several staff standing near the kitchen conversing. Upon further questioning, the hostess shared that they were short staffed. Perhaps if the hostess had stated something like we are short staffed today, so would you mind waiting 15 20 minutes? You can sit in a booth and look through the menu and sip on some water while you wait, it would have been a more pleasant experience from the start. Instead, we had to stand and wait for a table due to the limited seating area of the already crowded waiting area. I observed throughout my visit that a few minutes after we were seated, people began to get seated immediately. I also observed that several staff members, at least 2 3 at a time seemed to have time to converse. Our server was friendly enough but was not extremely attentive. Unless management improves and puts customers first here, I would not return. In addition, hostesses should have much better conversational and people skills. If I ever ordered again, I would order takeout to avoid being treated like a number."

"I have ordered from this restaurant twice now. The first time, they forgot the fries. This time, the Cheesy Jalapeno Poppers (freshly fried, breaded, and cheese-filled jalapenos served with a side of Tapatio dip) did not come with dip. Although the fries were included this time, they were not the garlic fries as shown in the picture. The Homage to Dick's Deluxe (American cheese, bacon, grilled onions, top-secret burger sauce) has a delicious sauce, but could use more vegetables. Overall, the food is good but I was not overly impressed."

"It's crazy I haven't updated Stanford Grill's review in all these years since I must have come back here dozens of times since the first review and enjoyed every one of them. This location has always been nice and clean and cozy during my visits and my food always comes out hot and prepared as described by the very friendly and attentive team at Stanford Grill. They used to do a delicious lobster Thermidor and butternut squash spaghetti I haven't seen on the menu in a while but I still love the chicken pot pie, rattlesnake pasta, while I'm not inclined to order grilled salmon or rotisserie chicken out at restaurants often, theirs are always well executed. The star of the show here is the signature bread pudding dessert. I can't think of a bread pudding i've enjoyed more than theirs and with the grey goose peartini cocktail to accompany dessert, makes the perfect nightcap."

"My daughter and I decided on looking at a map of the area and the first restaurant she pointed to, we would try out. This made for a rememberable dining experience and not in a good way. First, we entered the establishment prior to lunch and the hostess/waitress' back was towards us while she was at the bar talking to another employee so she might not have heard us come in, but the other employee saw us and made no mention to her that we are standing at the front desk/entrance. After about 3 minutes she turns around and was surprised to see us there (First red flag). We chose the outdoor patio after being seated and offered beverages. My daughter asked the waitress about the difference in some of the dishes she was interested in and the waitress seemed as if this was too much (Second red flag) of a hassle so my daughter ordered a simple Ceasar salad and I ordered Wild Mushroom and Walnut Tortellini with a glass of Chianti. The Ceasar salad was wilted with way too much dressing on top and not worth the $10.49 price and my order of tortellini pasta was way past al dente with the ends flopping around in the sauce. It was palatable at best. (Third red flag) The air around the patio area smelled of off gas(old food that has been stuck in a pipe for months). If you look at their logo the words Italian, Market and Café are separated. I think the products they sale or display fits into the category of Italian Market, but I have tasted way better food on the side streets of a Roman café near tourist traps."

"I visited this restaurant with my family around 6 PM for lunch, and we were seated promptly. We have four little ones, and they absolutely loved the chicken tenders and fries. My fiancée ordered the four-cheese pasta with honey chicken, while I went for the clubhouse grilled sandwich. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious—definitely worth the price. Our server, Karley M., provided one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. She checked in on us frequently and was quick to refill our drinks. I also want to mention that the manager came by to check on us twice during our visit. Everyone was very attentive and friendly, even though the restaurant was quite busy—I'd estimate it was at least half full, if not more."

"Returning from travel and hungry for American food. Saw a Chili's hamburger ad while traveling home and decided it was exactly what we craved.The service was excellent. It appeared to be a team as we were brought food by other members of the crew. Food delivery was quick and hot. We dined after 5 pm on a Friday so sluggish service might be expected but that was not what we encountered.As we left, we were met by three other crew members and the manager who all wished us a good evening and a welcome to return. Kudos to you and your team."

"The manager at this restaurant is outstanding! My husband was really hungry, and I couldn’t cook for him tonight, so he ordered some boneless wings to go. Unfortunately, when he picked them up, they were cold and included just a small piece of celery with a sprig. We called to explain the situation, and the manager personally prepared a fresh batch for him. It turned out perfectly—each piece was delicious and honestly the best wings we've ever had! Applebee's definitely made a great choice in hiring him. He was incredibly kind and accommodating."

"There were three of us. An LAPD Sr. Lead Officer, a representative from the Los Angeles City Counsel. The Officer has a limited time therefore had only a glass of water. The waitress was the antithesis of the service and demeanor that has always been a hallmark of The Hamlet. She was rude, pushy and unreasonable on EVERY level. The Officer and the City rep asked only for water. I had an Arnold Palmer. The server gave us menus. We explained that after he left we two would order. That didn 't deter her from returning every few minutes to ask about our order. Perhaps it 's relevant to say that when we arrived there was ONE party of two in the entire restaurant. ONE. So it wasn 't like there was a line out the door for lunch. For the better part of a year I 've been having lunch at 1pm EVERY WEEK. And there 's NEVER been a line of guests waiting for seats. NEVER. Moments, I mean less than a minute after the Officer left the waitress returned, asked for our order and told us, make that lectured to us that we couldn 't sit there unless we ordered. Without raising my voice I told her she was rude and pushy. That he had said that once the officer left we 'd order. Then she took a different tack. She said she was just checking back to see if we were ready to order. Ready to order? after the Officer was barely in his patrol car outside your front door. I told her to look around and tell me if property were waiting for tables to be available. Of course there weren 't because it was a typical Wednesday lunchtime at the Hamlet. 40, 50 maybe even 60% but absolutely no more. A few minutes later she returned, we ordered pea soup and cornbread (my all time favorite soup whether at a Hamlet or at the now departed Kate Mantillini 's on Wilshire at Doheny). The City rep and I commented to each other how ridiculous the scenario had been. The bill was paid and we left the table. Perhaps she was having a bad day. We all have a bad day but that 's no excuse. Your thoughts?..."

"I went to Applebee on Saturday night and it was very busy. She was sitting at the bar. The staff was friendly but very slow when ordering and not very attentive. The restaurant was a bit clean, but given the crowd of people, I would say you are obliged to see some chaos. I ordered the shrimp-mounted duck and my friend ordered the salmon that came with Mac and cheese together with Broccoli. I do not enjoy the shrimp luxus, which was described as roasted shrimps with sommes and a spicy sauce on it. I had extra sauce, because the meal had hardly any. The food wasn't hot when I got it. I ordered the blondie Brownie to dessert. Very disappointed. It didn't look like the picture. They put the cream cheese frosting on the side and as I asked for my ice cream on the side, they put it in a bowl on the hot skill that completely melted my ice. Ten minutes later they came out with another topping. I didn't know if I had to prepare the dessert myself. Don't think I'll make a trip here soon."

"We spent the day in the Bishops Arts area. Stopped in Enzo's with a party of 6 for pizza. We had salads, artichoke dip and pizza. The bartender was very friendly. The waiter was attentive. The artichoke dip was good, totally different than the usual, salads were fresh, the pizza is more of a flat bread. It is like pizza toppings on a cracker. It was a nice change and everyone enjoyed it but it was not the usual pizza. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant has a great location. We had a good time and would come again."

"(Tip) When ordering delivery, it's better to use the Applebee's website, as DoorDash prices are higher along with additional fees. You can't go wrong with the riblets and Fiesta Lime Chicken, and the mozzarella sticks are also excellent. However, the steaks consistently arrive undercooked. I always request them well done, but they usually come out pink to rare. If you're looking for a treat, definitely try the Blondie—it's a delightful dessert made with maple butter and walnuts!"

"The staff at this restaurant are friendly and welcoming. I really enjoy their Bourbon chicken with the garnish—it’s delicious and reasonably priced. Although I recently dined there, the food remains consistently good. Sometimes, I need to request extra garlic butter, but it's always worth it. I have only had one issue with this dish on a particular day. My family and I often visit and we love the ambiance. The 2-for-$30 deal is quite reasonable. Their burgers are also quite tasty, and the tomato soup is excellent, too."

"Ordered the all you can eat shrimp rib boneless I only got one of each and I was full I did not Gorge myself. Because I got barbecue sauce they charged me extra siting inventory reasons, but had I got a refill and ordered the sauce on the Boneless tenders I would not have been charged. So I saved them money by not ringing out an additional order for boneless tenders. I told that to the waitress so because I got the sauce on the side and didn't order another set of boneless tenders you're going to charge me for the sauce and she said yes for inventory reasons. Sorry but for the attitude problem I won't be back and I definitely made sure she knew that her tip sucked. It was just the principle of charging me for the plastic cup in the sauce but I did not order the additional tenders to save them money and because of the promotion I would have got those tenders included with the barbecue sauce as part of my meal deal."
