"Quite an interesting little place it was packed when I arrived, but they had a table set aside for me. Service was top notch friendly, attentive (without being pushy and on top of a busy Saturday night crowd. Much of the seating is counter style seating, to give you a good open view of most of the 25 TV 's that line the walls. The crowd thinned out when the popular game ended, and sure enough the jukebox immediately went to Take me home, country roads and 100+ sport fan chorus sang along ...to the place, I belong...WEST VIRGINIA, Mountain Mama . When I think of sports bars, Greek food isn 't the place my mind immediately goes, but they make it work with a nice blend of Greek American hybrids like Gyro Mac Cheese (quite tasty , deep fried Feta and Greek Stuffed Mushrooms (my favorite! . The mushrooms had a nice firm tasty texture, the stuffing was delicious with the addition of the gyros, were coated in cheese, and baked to perfection. Everything 's better with cheese : The dolmathes were a tad disappointing understuffed, drowned in olive oil, and the veins in the grape leaves refused to sever either with a bite or a knife. Because of that, they didn 't work well as finger food or fork knife I had to tear them apart. Because of that, it was difficult to taste the nuances of flavor I normally expect from dolmas. The wine list was simple about 8 house wines (all Mondavi , four higher end reds and four whites plus about a dozen choices by bottle only. They were out of the one Greek wine on their menu (Mavrodaphne , so I settled for a decent Mark West Pinot Noir. I 'm not a beer drinker, so you 're on your own as to how good their beer selections are, but there seemed to be plenty of beer, wine and spirits flowing and everyone was having a good time. But about those Stuffed Mushrooms....I could have made a meal out of just those."

"The first thing I opened was the fries. Right away, I could tell they were cold. I took a bite, and unfortunately, they were indeed cold. While I was disappointed, I had them delivered, so I didn’t expect them to be piping hot, and I tried not to dwell on it too much. Next, I opened the chicken Caesar wrap. At first glance, it looked good, but when I took a bite, I found marinara sauce in it. If you know what a chicken Caesar wrap is, marinara definitely doesn’t belong in there, so I was puzzled by that. Then I went for the cheesecake, but when I opened it (it was in a clear container), I realized it was carrot cake instead. I was really upset about this because all I wanted was cheesecake. I moved on to the steak and cheese sandwich. It looked appetizing at first, but then I took a bite and discovered it, too, was really cold. At that point, I was very frustrated. The drinks were fine; however, they were in 2-liter bottles, and I meant to order the smaller ones but forgot to specify the size since they never asked. The only redeeming thing I ordered was the chocolate cake—it was actually pretty good. Overall, I can’t complain about that. However, I will never order from this place again. It was a terrible experience. I wish I had checked the reviews before placing my order. Thank you for ruining my birthday! (I would share a photo, but we threw everything out, and I didn't want to dig it all back out again.)"

I was pretty disappointed, but since I had it delivered, I didn’t expect them to be piping hot, so I tried to let it slide. Next, I opened the chicken Caesar wrap. "Thanksgiving Day dinner review... This is the McCormick Schmick's in downtown Chicago, across from the Trump tower. If using CTA, take the Lake St. exit. Very classy, real linen napkins and real linens on the table, black-liveried waiters. The Shrimp Kisses appetizer was delicious, 4 large bacon wrapped shrimp with pepper jack cheese. 5 stars, at least. The side salad was beautiful, but kind of boring, nothing but arugula and similar greens, no tomatoes or other vegetables. Didn't take long to eat, lol. My companion had the butternut squash soup, which was only a small cup, but said it was delicious. The restaurant will bring you some delicious hot bread with butter, but apparently you have to ask. We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which was a few slices of turkey, a scoop of dressing, a large scoop of mashed potatoes and a scoop of something else hot I couldn't really identify but was really good, along with some wonderful green beans. It's not as much as you would probably eat at a family Thanksgiving dinner, but it was ample and quite good, a solid four stars. The slice of turkey dark meat that I got was really tough and not very tasty. I ate a little of it and left the tough parts on my plate. My companion, I note, gave up on his slice of dark meat, also. The dinner was $32, not including the excellent slice of pumpkin pie we had and not including the shrimp appetizer, which I thought was a fabulous bargain. A lot of tony restaurants in Chicago were charging $75-135 for their TG dinners, and I'm sure they were good, but still..."
