"The food was very good, the restaurant looked clean. It was relaxing. Some people were outside dinning some were inside. A couple things I didn't care for. The server never came to our table to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything else, I tried to get their attention several times. When the check came we were over charged. A mistake I'm sure, though an expensive one if we didn't look at the bill other than the total. We thought was a bit high. The server was quick to fix it. We will go back and would recommend this place."

"Never coming here again. I am not picky when it?s comes to eating at restaurants however I got scammed and the food was horrible. The food was just reheated and the chicken was hard to eat. When the check came, our waitress over charged us but I didn?t question her because I thought it was an honest mistake. Now that I?m looking at my bank statement she over charged me EVEN MORE. Plus, I left a great tip in cash which I regret now. Horrible experience. (Also it?s a verysketchy place)"

"Having had a 5:45 reservation and showing up on time, we were very disappointed in the crammed small table by the door we were given… There were several other tables open for two in a quieter, less congested area at the time…so it was difficult to hear the server as well as have a conversation with my friend. Crab cake app was great, so was the salmon altho the side of asparagus was literally two small stalks. Portion much smaller than usual. I still love this place, but will not go back on a weekend evening. Took forever to get our drinks with no one even seated at the bar. Our server, Denise, was delightful!"

"I am going to attempt keep this one short and to the point. First and foremost, I want to start by stating that Tony 's performance was an absolute disgraceful performance. Quite frankly, he was unprofessional. Last weekend, my lady and I traveled all the way from Chicago to (attempt) to eat at this establishment. Key word attempt. When we arrived there was only one other group in the entire restaurant. It was a party of four or five people, therefore, it was not busy at all. We were seated by a waiter named Tony. That was literally the end of our service. My lady and I read through the entire menu, then we had to decided on what we were going to order. We waited, and waited, and we waited for Tony to return to our table. In fact, we had a taste for some ice cream later so we started to Google ice cream parlors in the nearby area, essentially waiting for Tony to return to our table. After waiting for about 20 real-time minutes, I walked over to the bar and asked the lady if she could alert Tony. I literally heard her inform Tony (who was on the other end of the bar that we were ready and he needed to return to the table. I returned to my table, And we waited ... And we waited ... And we waited... Then, we see Tony nonchalantly walk to and from the kitchen area. Still, there was no service. Again, this place was almost empty, with the exception of one other party of four or five people. Literally, that was it. After 30 minutes of real-time waiting for Tony to return to the table to take our order, we slowly started to gather our items and put on our coats. As we started to walk towards the exit, Tony was seen laughing, joking, and having a casual conversation with some gentleman. It wasn 't until he saw us about to walk out the door, before he finally attempted to acknowledge us. Tony asked if everything was okay, I told him he clearly seemed preoccupied. Tony clearly didn 't care. His performance or lack thereof was absolutely disgraceful. Quite frankly, he refused to serve us. He didn 't even have the decency to apologize or to attempt to make it right. My lady and I will never return to this establishment. For folks that are looking for some real Peruvian food, I would highly recommend trying Taste of Peru in Roger Park."

"This place is AMAZING, the food is at another level of deliciousness. My second time tonight and ordered varieties from appetizers, soup, sushis, and dessert to go. I mean really this is by far the best sushi ever and my new favorite place. Our waitress was Valentina both times, and she is awesome, amazing, super attentive to our needs and desire to try new things. She knows her plates very well she does amazing recommendations and she has not failed at none. If there is something I love about restaurants is their attention to detail with customers, she even remembered what she recommended the last time I visited a few weeks back. I just wish there were more stars for me to recommend and rate higher this review. Totally recommend this place no joke."

"Tried this place for the 1st time on mother's day (2017) with my husband and 2 kids. Loved it from the moment we walked in the door! Great atmosphere, Good music, tv's everywhere, food was AMAZING affordable! (Tried the wings, chicken sandwich, French fries and Yuca fries). My drink was very good and strong (only thing I would recommend is creating a drink menu for customers with pics of the drinks). Can't wait to come back and try some more food off the menu."

"The decor is super vibrant and fun, color and art everywhere. Went at 8ish on a Sunday night and was seated quickly. Heads up to introverts, people with noise sensitivity, the music was extremely loud...it was actually super jarring went I first walked in. You have to shout to be heard between songs...not a bad thing just something to consider. They have karaoke and a very fun vibe/atmosphere. I ordered chicken Nachos, which were a good size for the price and empanadas which are large and well filled, but the flavor was not my preference..had a vinegar background flavor. Again, not bad but not my favorite. Also had an horchata...very very sweet! They have lots of drink options and a pretty extensive menu. Would recommend for night out with friends/family, but maybe not a first date given the volume."

"The food was quite good overall. The ceviche was decent, but the sweet potato side was surprisingly delightful. As for the main courses, I ordered a beef dish that was decent, though not particularly remarkable; it reminded me of something you'd find at a Chinese fast food restaurant in China. However, the other dish, which featured fish and seafood in a sauce with rice, was excellent, and I would highly recommend it. The tres leches cake was fine, but nothing exceptional. I ended up spending $67 for the meal. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I feel the prices are slightly above average."

"NO ONIONS I 'm usually generous with my reviews. I just can 't give them more than one, since my husband 's dinner was just okay. Cafe con Leche and it was cold? I ordered my 3 Steak Tacos meal with NO ONIONS served with so many onions and the steak was burnt to a crisp and barely edible. I made one out of the 3 Tacos after picking out the onions and totally burnt meat.I couldn 't eat any of the lettuce, guacamole, sour cream cause they were covered with onions. The waitress, Gabrielle, never came to ask how our meal was or if we wanted anything else, she just brought the check when I was in the filthy restroom. And she should have looked at the order before bringing it to the table. NO ONIONS I 'm still not sure what the refried beans tasted like? It could have been possible taste was the Marcella wine from my husband 's meal nothing like beans. $50 for 2 people one meal and 3 tacos (not to my order, either) coffee and iced tea. TacoBell $9.87, no tipping required. I don 't recommend this place. Totally disappointed."

"We were at this restaurant with a reservation at 6:30pm (week ago) Freida the server is the owner’s daughter and it did not feel to us that she cared for her Mexican customers who were at Villa Peru for the first time, she was more concerned with pleasing her white American customers than her Mexican American customers equally and it took 1HR and 1/2 to get our food and appetizers prior to that, of course to no surprise there was cero apology on her part, she never acknowledged the kitchens issues they were having and her follow up was less than perfect, her white American customers got served an her undivided attention but my guests (party of 6) were treated like they did not mattered, when the food finally got to us, like our appetizers they were semi-warm, the meals did not get to us for about an hour and a half, just about the time they were about to close; we are avid foodies and have been to many restaurants and yes we have experience on what great customer services looks like at family owned venues, but Villa Peru definitely did not meet our expectations, poor service, poor tasting food and cold! Since the server didn’t bother to check on our meal status. The rib eye plate was luke warm and apparently they run out of one of their menu choices but told us about it an hour later, so one of my guests didn’t get the meal they wanted. This was a Saturday evening event, how are you not prepared for a weekend venue. Most definitely we do not recommend this place at all, whataburger has better service- please don’t waste your time whit this awful service!"

"My sister and I were in Chicago a couple of days. Havana Grill was just one block from our hotel, so we decided to try the place out. All of the outdoor seating was full, but there were several tables available inside. It is a beautiful little place on the inside. We sat at a booth. We ordered the chimichangas. They were delicious, and the sauce they came with made them even better. For the entrée, I ordered the Cuban Roasted Pork, and my sister ordered the Ropa Vieja. The Cuban Roasted Pork was just delicious. Everything was just cooked perfectly. My sister really enjoyed her Ropa Vieja. I let her try my crispy Yucca. My sister liked it. I enjoyed that the gentleman who delivered the food to the table came back and asked how we like it."

"I was visiting from Brooklyn with my family, my sister lives in the area and invited us.. I ordered bolon mixto and coffee.. It was very good.. unfortunately, as others have noted the waitress was unfriendly. When she brought the food, we would say thank you and she didn’t bother to reply you’re welcome (we spoke in Spanish). When we paid and we’re getting ready to leave she didn’t say a word. Great location and right on El Camino, this isn 't an impressive looking place. In fact, you 'd likely not even notice driving by. We absolutely enjoyed both of these dishes. There was no shortage of seafood in the paella, a real treat. The chicken was incredibly moist and perfectly seasoned. Servings for both were quite generous so we brought our leftovers home. The staff here was very courteous and took time to answer questions regarding the menu options. We shared two desserts: the rice pudding and the special cookie. Yum, yum. We plan to definitely return here again."

"This is the 2nd Costambar restaurant that my wife and I visited within the last 4 days. This locale is bigger than the one at 18th Street in Paterson. Much more choices but just as amazingly delicious. My wife got Fried Pork Chops with onions and yellow rice. I got Pig's feet with Black bean rice. We had a side order of Chicharron (Pork Cracklings) and Avocado salad. For drinks she got a Merengue (Cola Champgane) soda and I got me a Morir Soñando (Orange Creamsicle). Everything, and I mean everything is cooked to perfection, flavorful and plenty. Out servers Susanna and Arlenis provided us excellent service with a smile."

"First time I stopped here at the deli, although I've eaten at the restaurant. This time, I went to pick up sandwiches during Covid. I ordered a Cubanito, (ham and pork and pan lomito (strips of tri-tip . Both were outstanding! My brother and I shared half of each and we couldn't decide which sandwich was the best. What we could agree on was that they were outstanding sandwiches!!! I've tried most of the sandwich places around Santa Rosa. Sazón has the best sandwiches I've tried. I'm not even exaggerating! The bread rolls were phenomenal, filled with lots of meat, onions peppers and cheese. They wrap the sandwiches in paper, then tin foil, then paper again. It kept the sandwiches hot long after I got home. The prices are extremely reasonable- about $8 or $9. The place was immaculately clean, and while there were no tables (Covid! , there was plenty of space for looking in their drink coolers and picking up orders. Would I recommend this place? Heck yeah!!! I plan on going back tomorrow! Love this place. Not sure why it took me so long to try it! Go and try it!"

"I have dined in and ordered to go and have enjoyed the food. This last visit was not so pleasant. One of the orders was incorrect and after the waitress checked on the error she said she couldn't do anything about it. The cook came out and asked how the food was and I informed him the order was incorrect but the waitress would not switch tit he correct one. He apologized and stated he would make the correct dish.
