"Absolutely fantastic! After reading a mix of reviews about Nyammings Fusion Bistro, I decided to give it a try, hoping to satisfy my Caribbean cravings, and I'm thrilled to say it did not disappoint.
Food: The oxtail dish was simply outstanding—5 out of 5! I even called the chef over to share my thoughts, telling him that the flavors were so incredible they should be considered a crime. He laughed and we exchanged a fist bump! The oxtails were rich in flavor, and the gravy was the perfect finishing touch. The cabbage was tasty, and the plantains were exceptionally fresh and sweet, complementing the meal beautifully. I just wish I had received more than two plantains with my dish. The crispy edges were a delightful addition.
Having recently visited Jamaica, I honestly didn't expect to find the same quality of food back in the U.S., but this place proved me wrong. I truly hope they maintain this level of consistency because I plan to return.
On another note, I took a moment to check how much oxtail I received for the price (see photos). In my experience, the portion was quite generous, contrary to some reviews I've seen about smaller servings. I hope that continues on my next visit.
Customer service was warm and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The front of the bistro was clean, though I was a bit put off by a few dead crickets in the bathroom, which might need more frequent attention. I would have thought twice had I not been in a hurry.
