"The owner/manager is extremely down to earth and great to talk to. You can tell he really cares about the quality of his food and that it's prepared the proper way.The restaurant is always clean and tables always wiped off. It smells good and there is always someone at the register when you come in.I've had several different dishes here from the pasta, jerk chicken, fried wings, fish, several sides, to my favorite--oxtail. And the truth is the food is good like 7/10, 9/10 on a good day but is overpriced. Oxtail plates range from $30-$36 BEFORE tax and that is ridiculous. I've gotten as little as 4 oxtail pieces in a plate that have thick cuts of fat. Most of the plate is rice and peas with small portions of cabbage and they never give much oxtail gravy. That sucks because they're gravy is as close to perfect as I've had. I still go because I haven't perfected my oxtail recipe to taste how I want and I absolutely love oxtail. This is the closest place to my house. But I'll have to try harder at home with these plate prices. Lol. Their jerk chicken is very good as well, especially if you like it spicy. Pastas are a more affordable option that is pretty good.As far as customer service goes, the manager is the only welcoming face I've encountered being in the restaurant. Everyone else is a little snarky, unhelpful, or just seems to have an attitude. The only exception is when he is there with an associate.Regardless of everything, I will still continue to go at least once a month and hope for the best because it is a well structured restaurant. It's worth giving a try when you're in the area."

I ordered the rasta pasta with oxtail and found the food to be incredibly delicious, packed with flavor and just a hint of spice. There was a generous portion of pasta and plenty of tender oxtail as well. I also tried the prickly pear lemonade, which was a bit too sweet for my liking. The prices are on the higher side, but you certainly get a lot of food for what you pay.

I'm so disappointed I got on here a few months ago and really bragged on the service I received at Nyammings .So much so that today I decided to visit the Wilcrest location both my coworker. We asked if we could substitute the rice and beans me as well as the cabbage and plantains. The girl advised we could get a side of oxtails and sides of Mac and yams. When we got back to the office we still had the sides we didn't request . We paid $5.19for a container of yams that only contained 4 pieces of sweet potatoes and the rest juice .
