Succulent and tender jumbo sea scallops, perfectly seared and served with a touch of seasoning.

"Our recent experience at the restaurant was disappointing. We have dined there a few times before, always having had good meals. This time, however, we chose the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and were let down. The bar was busy, but only one other table was seated in the restaurant and finished their meal shortly after we were seated. My dining partner ordered the special duck dish, but it turned out to be tough and chewy. He was offered a replacement entree, but it was too late as I had already finished my meal and he wasn't keen on waiting for another dish to be prepared. The staff was very nice and kindly comped his entree, but we no longer see this restaurant as a special occasion spot. We'd rather pay for good food than be comped for poor food."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"The hostess was very kind and sat us in a very nice booth in the bar. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. I ordered the wedge salad and truffle fries. The fries were cold and raw. We asked for them to be redone and the waitress said she would send them back and ask for them to be extra crispy. They came back a half an hour later medium temp and not crispy. We were not charged for the fries. The flavor was good and the truffle mayo was delicious. The wedge salad was less to be desired. The lettuce was sopping wet with water, the bacon was burnt, and the eggs were bad. The Korean tacos were a big hit. Good flavor, spicy, and had a good crunch from the slaw."

"I’m going to start this by saying I only leaving rating when a place is horrible or phenomenal. My boyfriend and I went to @marysvine followed by @thestudyatmarysvine just outside of Pittsburgh last night. First, the environment is unique for so many reasons. It doesn’t feel like a chain or that you are simply another number coming through the door. Having such a detailed, rich atmosphere, this place makes you feel special, almost regal. The wine room is beautiful to look at, as are the large windows and church organ. The service is knowledgeable and thorough, looking to make sure you have the best experience possible. The wine list is the largest I’ve seen in the area. Being able to see detailed photos of the seasonal food menu on iPads is wonderful. The food is thoughtful, and frankly, exquisite. The flavor of the pairings still makes my mouth water. Unlike other restaurants, we weren’t rushed, making it feel much more like an experience rather than an exchange. At the end of our meal, we quietly looked at each other and asked each other’s ranking of the evening up to that point. We agreed on 9.25 and couldn’t recall another experience we’ve ranked higher. Following dinner we headed downstairs to @thestudyatmarysvine where the entrance is enough to set the tone for the evening. You enter through a painting into what feels like another time. The smell of leather and cigars fills the air while your eyes look over the detailed couches, walls of books, and humidor. The iPad menu allow you to see the options with a beautiful photo and listed details of each crafted cocktail. You feel both relaxed and rewarded in The Study. As we sat in the leather chairs, we decided the rating jumped to 9.75. Although we feel more people need to know about the experience, we also like that it feels like a well kept secret outside of the city. This place would be perfect for a quality, luxurious birthday, anniversary, or intimate reception. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back. "Very unimpressed. Went there with a table of 9 to celebrate two birthdays. Place was very crowded. Had the bronzino, hubby had the salmon and daughter had swordfish, all very bland. Didn't even bother to take home leftovers. Another two had scallops with risotto and they liked it. Another member had the short ribs which she said was pretty good. Another had the steak which he had to send back. Ordered it medium rare and it came back very rare. I know this is supposed to bed very highly rec … – show"

"My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and were seated straight away. As the Burmese restaurant is in the area, we really looked forward to this experience. While we were in no hurry the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they urged to have a meal order at the same time. We wait to order the food until the drinks have been brought to us. We ordered the Burmese beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (fish noodle soup). The sauces on the meat stews were good, but not spectacular! The stew was definitely not tender. If you like tough meat then these dishes are for you. In addition, the Moh Hin Ga lacked taste and in the words of my colleagues: "I would not order it again". Also soft drinks and iced tea and refilled for free. Given the rush and subpar experience, won't be returning. Given their great Yelp reviews, it seems like there are plenty of customers out there who like it. Maybe we only visited them on a bad day or the normal cook wasn't around that day ..."

"My husband and I recently went to DaVinci's while on our baby moon. We were overwhelmed by the quality of the service and the delicious food! We could not rate the food and atmosphere any higher, but what truly made the experience memorable was the staff. We were greeted by what I assume, must be the owner, who made very pleasant conversation and greeted us with such friendliness. The true star of the show, however, was Adrian E. our server. I am a former waitress myself, and both my husband and I agree that he was by far the best server we have ever encountered. He was extremely pleasant, kind, friendly, attentive and had excellent suggestions for food and wine. At one point I had dipped my napkin in my water to start to blot a spot of oil I got on my dress and he appeared within a minute with soda water, a fresh napkin and a new water glass for me all during the dinner rush. And don't get me started on the home made pasta! I had the linguine and clams and my husband had the fish special and we were blown away. The food was excellent. Truly authentic Italian. Any time we are back in Marco Island, I know this will be our first stop. Thank you DaVinci's!"

"They know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally takes you to your grandmother's house as a kid. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I only found in my grandmother's kitchen. This soup in itself was worth the trip. The swordfish starter was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know pisco sour is not Mexican, but it definitely was very refreshing and mixed perfectly). In terms of price you are in NYC ... 'enough said."

"the restaurant was practically empty, but the door was opened before I came out, with a smile greeted by the host and for person. quickly shown on a table and taken my drink order. I was looking for one and when the drink appeared fast, the server did not expect me to be ready. I ordered the little sour bark. there was so much serious on the plate it was like a bowl suppe. that filled mine, because the flesh was so small, not like the pictures here that are probably not the little ones. the flesh was so tender that it was possible to cut it with a fork that should be. the flesh was tasteless. I come back because the problem with my meal was that I ordered the wrong size. I'll know the next time."

"We went here for my mom’s birthday and had such an amazing experience! We came for the happy hour at the bar first, great cocktails! And the hostess was so nice to point out an open table for us. Then we made reservations for dinner and had a bottle of Chardonnay, a Brie and apple chutney appetizer, a salad with watermelon, feta, pomegranate seeds, onions, avocados, and more! So delicious! And then filet for dinner! We were so stuffed but it was all so great! The ambiance, the service, the food! The staff even came out with a chocolate dessert and sang happy birthday to my mom. 10/10 would recommend! "I started with the pork skewers with cheese sauce and then had the sour beef and dumplings for my main course. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The table agreed that the beef was delicious. The sour beef and sauce were excellent, although the dumplings could use some improvement. There was something off about the texture and consistency of the dumplings that I couldn't quite pinpoint. I would still order this dish again, but maybe swap out the dumplings for potatoes the next time."

"We had a two for one deal on servers tonight!!! Holly and Kat were so awesome! Training is always fun to be part of for us. It tends to lead to some random entertainment that was NOT intentional but makes for a night of belly laughs and great memories. We were here for magical dining, and everything we got was so amazing! I had the meatballs, pork chop, and cheesecake. Mywife went for the shrimp, prime rib, and key lime. She also tried their new key lime martini. No complaints from us on any ofit! I really would love the recipe for those meatballs, and she is excited to have a new drink for me to figure out for her. Ipersonally thought the drink was not as creamy as I was expecting, but she loved it. She smartly requested the buffalo sauce onthe side with her shrimp, because she doesn’t care for food that’s too spicy. It was good, but just a bit spicier than shecould have handled. All in all, this was a huge hit for us. We did see a woman making her rounds from table to table askingabout their food, but she must be friends with those people or something because she passed us right up and went to the nexttable to talk to them. Seemed friendly enough, and we joked about it after deciding that these tables must be regulars orfriends and she was just being social."

"Nice, cozy room with a small but well-designed selection of beers. The food is also very good; The starters may seem a little expensive for a gastropub, but for gourmets they are comparable in complexity and taste to dishes in the rich table, a rare find in the outer mission / Bernal. If you are looking for tasty snacks, great cocktails and beer in the neighborhood, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Frustrated, I asked another waitress to bring the manager over. When he arrived, I showed him the ribs, which were mostly fat. He acknowledged that ribs should ideally be lean and agreed they were cold upon delivery. I asked what could be done about the situation, and he offered to take half off the cost. However, when I reviewed the bill later, I felt he should have offered a full refund. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she suggested that my eating some of the ribs might be the reason for not refunding the entire amount. Interestingly, they both looked at the ribs as if they wouldn't eat them either. I also want to note that there are dietary guidelines regarding pork; it should be cooked properly, and fatty ribs should not be served if they are undercooked. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and the quality of the food."

"My favorite dish was the Jumbo Sea Scallop. It has veggies in Penang curry sauce. The scallop a cooked PERFECTLY! The curry sauce was not thick or covering the taste of the scallop. It adds a really nice kick to the veggies without overpowering any of their natural flavors. Pig in the blanket was really good too. They have off the menu kids meal. $9 for burger and fries. I didn't try the burger, but the fires were really good! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Seasoned well too, not too salty. Beignets was good as dessert, but can't compare to the real thing. I thought the portion size was perfect that allows you to have some appetizers and desserts. Manager was very friendly and helpful. I'm so glad I decided to come here at the last minute."

"Good restaurant for the area. However, we were disappointed with the appetizers. There was not much kapow to the kapow shrimp. The entrees were better. However, my girlfriend's tuna was not cooked correctly the first time. Staff were gracious about recooking it. We enjoyed our time there! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"The menu on their website promised sushi, but when we arrived, we found out there was no sushi chef available. My sister-in-law and I are gluten-free, and unfortunately, about 80% of the items on their gluten-free menu were crossed out. As a result, our dinners were quite disappointing. They did have a band playing that night, which was enjoyable, but the volume was so loud that we couldn't hear each other, which was frustrating."

"4 out of 5 of us ordered prime rib. All of our dishes came VERY well done not medium as requested and tasted like pot roast. Our 10 year old had the Christmas special which included a slice of prime rib, the color was red (just about raw), we requested that it go back on the grill. It came back to us a little brown on the front side and still red when I turned it over. We requested that the child 's meal be taken off the bill, which was done. Our waitress, ASHLEY, was very nice and really tried, however, she must have been new and forgot many small details, like giving us a menu, rolls and butter, got the beverages wrong, forgot butter and sour cream for baked potatoes, etc. We had a 7:00 reservation for this Christmas Day dinner, we were really hungry and looking forward to a wonderful meal. Nobody finished their meals and nobody took home the leftovers! SORRY but this was a really BAD experience, and expensive too! P.S. I 've NEVER written a BAD restaurant review!"
