"When we arrived they put the 6 of us in a room by ourselves at a nice round table...very nice. A man came over with an apron on and started filling our water. I said Are You Our Server he replied I have an apron on, why do people always ask me if I am their server . Well, where I come from, and in GREAT restaurants THE SERVER, will introduce themselves right away. Most of the BETTER restaurants have people that fill water and bring bread etc. (Ruths Chris, Capital Grill, Eddie V 's). I then asked him his name...he said my name in SING...he then asked us if we wanted some cocktails and if the ladies wanted to get drunk.....yes that what he said...I would not lie. He was about as far from professional as you can get. We ordered our food...Bread was brought to the table...it was terrible...I asked SING if people like this bread and he said not really but the chef does.....wow what a response! We ordered food, 1 ordered Pork Chops and said they were very good, 4 of us ordered filets...1 6oz and 3 8oz... They were all very marginal in taste...truly marginal...I have had better at Texas Roadhouse thats how marginal. 1 of us ordered scallops...not good.. We ordered 2 creamed spinach sides.....NOT A DROP OF CREAM......dried up as can be...The garlic mashed were very garlic filled, the augratin were good...My buddy ordered a house cab, Sing said dont get it I have one from Caymus family thats just a little more....House is $14...his was $20...I do not call $6 a little more. Quite honestly, maybe because it 's off season and the regular staff/chef wasn 't here, but I just dont know why ANYONE would rate this place more than a 4 out of 10..... If you read my reviews, I call them as I see them....If you are great, I review you great, If you are lousy....well then you get what you deserve."

"From the curbside Hostess Podium to the dining room setup to the menus and the coordination of the staff, I was personally blown away. I wasn’t expecting much of a departure from the cliché tourist food that is served on most of South Beach. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and class that the staff exhibited. The food was actually very interesting, creative, and a departure from simple concepts–adding a refreshing Eastern Mediterranean Flare right down to the hummus. Every dish was a new adventure in flavor and texture. We started off with the Spanish Octopus and the Atlantic Wild Mussels. The Octopus was charcoal grilled and served with marinated fennel, Madeira squid ink reduction, and watercress vinaigrette that I can only describe as delicious! The Mussels are served in Champagne, shallots, garlic, lime, tarragon, and a touch of cream. Right about now you reach for the fresh-baked hot bread to soak up the insanely delicious sauce From there we requested that our waiter, Alejandro, pick our next dishes and they were both instant hits. He brought us the Lump Crab Cake with Shrimp and the Bang Bang Shrimp. The Crab Cake was served with Remoulade Sauce, Baby Green Beans, Microgreens and was simply amazing. The Bang Bang Shrimp at this point was, without a doubt, the highlight of the meal for me, served with Sautéed Jumbo Shrimp, Brown Sugar Butter, Turmeric, Curry, Yogurt Cucumber Mint Sauce, Cucumber Peppers, Relish and will leave you wanting to come back just for them. We asked Alejandro to surprise us with dessert. Let me emphasize that their award-winning National Pie Champion Pecan-Crusted Key Lime Pie will take your whole meal to a new level. Thank You, Alejandro, we definitely had a fantastic meal (arguably the best I’ve had in Miami). I already want to go back there. Great cocktails too, I recommend the Mai Tai. Our visit more than exceeded our expectations. I tip my toque to you Chef Kal Abdalla"

"Came to Florida on vacation and decided to venture up to Naples from Fort Myers to see a friend of ours playing in a band. Dinner reservations were made at Bistro 821. The hour plus ride to get there was more aggravating as an airplane had crashed on the highway. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, I could tell we were in an upscale establishment. I asked our server Rob what he recommended. He said that the Chilean Sea Bass was most popular. I was in a quandary because the also served Wagyu beef. He pointed out the pick 2 and pick 3 options. I chose the pick 3 where I could have smaller portions and pick 3 entrees. I chose the sea bass, wagyu sirloin and lobster tail. When asked how I wanted my steak i replied mooing. When the plate arrived i was shocked to see a virtually raw steak. Just the way I wanted. Perfect for my tastes. The star of the plate was the sea bass. Quite frankly the best piece of fish I've ever had. Marinated in saki in a wine verblanc sauce to die for. An absolute killer taste. The Executive Chef Jonathan DeRue even came out. (I think he wanted to see who ordered the raw steak). I told him i had a new favorite restaurant. The entire meal was amazing. I spoke to Rob about dessert which I probably wasn't going to order until he said Bananas Foster. As an alcoholic, I explained the need to completely cook off the alcohol. He went back to the kitchen and told me that Jonathan would take care of it personally. Bananas Foster over a home made sugar waffle. I thought I died and went to heaven! I now know that i have to return to Naples and if we ever decide to relocate to Florida, it will be to the west coast somewhere near Naples!"
