"after reading either rave reviews or terrible reviews I decided to give this place pa try and it was one of the few places that had an open reservation for 6 in so short time. we arrived about 15 minutes early and could quickly accommodate us relatiw. the menu was disappointingly small and not agricultural too table as I had read somewhere. the food came out quickly and the fish seemed fish. we had the Poke salad, 2 mixed teller, the fish of the day (ahi, grilled) and a child's fingertip and a child's butter noodle. the fish of the day seemed fresh and tenderly cooked. my Poke shell was average, but was generous with the ahi. the mixing plate was somewhat disappointing. the fried fish was so thick and hearty that we thought it was chicken. the Kalalau-Pork was a huge drain, dry, stringy and too sweet. all steamed veggies were slightly muddy and blande. child noodles huh was ok. the ratio of battery to hew was like 90:10! but my child liked it so that I didn't complain. we had two cocktails that were strong and good, but expensive. the restaurant decor is somehow sad and obsolete. position wisely and intentionally (we felt we dined after sunset so that we could not see the ozean, but we could hear him) give this location potential. the menu is too small to have something for everyone, I think. if they are in the opposite, they give this place a try, but not the drive worth when they are not."
