"I visited the restaurant at around 7:18 PM on March 12, 2024, and ordered a kids' quesadilla meal, a chicken burrito with guacamole, and a chicken bowl with guacamole. To start, the employee didn’t even attempt to properly wrap my burrito; she noticed the tortilla was torn and just paused before putting it in the foil. This felt very careless. Additionally, I ordered a kids' meal, but they forgot to include the kids' chips and drink. My fiancée went back to the counter to let them know about the missing items, and they looked at him as if he were speaking a different language—they seemed confused. He had to explain that the meal is supposed to come with those extras, and even then, they were reluctant to fix it. We ended up with the kids' drink but no chips. Considering that Chipotle isn’t the cheapest option, it’s incredibly frustrating when employees forget or mess up your order. It’s even worse when you directly address the issue with them, and they act oblivious. On top of that, this location was downright dirty. There was no reason for all the tables to be piled with leftover food from previous customers, especially with so many employees on duty. I’ve been to other locations that were more understaffed but had more attentive workers, a better atmosphere, and cleaner surroundings. Please do better."

"I won’t even touch on the food in this review. My main concern is that the lobby desperately needs cleaning. It was incredibly dirty and unkempt. The food station was particularly shocking; I honestly thought some of it might end up in my salad. There was rice spilled all over the place, extending down the entire station. Even if you just had a few employees take 10 minutes to wipe things down, it would make a huge difference. There were only a few people in line, and plenty of staff on duty who could have helped with sanitation. I came in hoping for the full Chipotle experience, but I ended up leaving because the seats and tables were in a revolting state. It wasn’t even worth capturing a photo; I just had to get out of there. I didn’t even finish my meal because the experience was so disappointing."

"During our conversation outside for the interview, I noticed that she was quite rude to the staff, snapping at one of them to clean up a mess, which made me feel bad for the employee. Throughout the interview, her demeanor was odd and unprofessional. As a 16-year-old, it was clear to me that her behavior did not meet the expectations I would have for a manager. After the interview, she told me I would hear back within 24 hours, but I didn’t receive a call the next day. When I followed up, I managed to reach her, but she answered the phone in a very brusque manner. I would have appreciated a warm greeting, something like, "Hello! How may I help you?" When I mentioned my interview, she asked for the name of the person who interviewed me but didn’t introduce herself, which I found quite unprofessional. Now, it has been a week with no follow-up call. This seems to reflect a larger issue, as I've noticed that many Chipotle locations often have rude managers and lackluster customer service. It's disappointing because I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the team. I believe management should be reevaluated, as all employees deserve to be treated with respect. This has been the worst interaction I've ever had with a manager, and it's disheartening to not even receive a courtesy call back. Overall, it was an incredibly unprofessional experience, and just recalling it feels overwhelming. To the manager at the El Camino Chipotle – you know who you are."

"This restaurant offers huge burritos with two vegan options - sofritas (a soy, paprika, tomato, onion, poblano mixture) and grilled veggies. You can choose from brown or white rice, black or pinto beans, salad, corn salsa, tomato salsa, and guacamole to customize your burrito. You also have the option to order your meal in a bowl instead of a tortilla. The vegan food is fast and delicious, with multiple locations including this one in a shopping center in San Rafael. The restaurant is clean and reliable, although there were some E. coli and Norovirus issues at other locations in 2015/2016. Take a chance and give it a try! "The restaurant has a lovely and clean atmosphere, with a friendly staff that is very helpful with recommendations and provides quick service. There are no long wait times, which is great. I really liked the cauliflower rice option—it’s fantastic! We ordered a bowl and a burrito, but I was disappointed that my steak was served cold. That was a bit of a letdown."

"We have been repeatedly disappointed by this Chipotle. This location is consistently poorly stocked and always out of something (gucamole- when other locations do have it available, forks, etc). This is the closest location to us, so we've really tried andtried and tried with this location. The last straw came on Saturday when my son went in to order a bowl. It took him nearly 20minutes to get ONE bowl! The crew was heavily unorganized and he was kept waiting while the staff prepared a large online orderafter he had already been waiting in the line. It only got worse when someone picked up their online order and it was incorrect.Again, he was kept waiting while the cashier went to fix the online order. Then he was kept waiting AGAIN while the cashierworked on bagging an online order instead of checking him out. No apology for the extensive wait, no acknowledgement of poorservice, nothing. Its no longer worth our money or time for the convenience of this location. We will not be returning."

"I went there today November 15th at around 12 pm and let’s just say that I would have preferred to not eat than to have dealt with the attitude of the people working there that shift. I understand people have bad days, but what bothered me most was the woman who was at the register. I simply asked her to double check that she was giving me the right order bc she almost gave the guy ahead of me the wrong order so I figured the next two orders had also gotten mixed up. With a bad attitude she told me no that she was giving me the right order. She proceeded to put my food in the bag aggressively almost crushing me chips. I didn’t say anything to her. Before I left I double checked that my order was correct and it wasn’t.she had given me someone else’s order. I gave my order to the person who was behind me bc she had given me his order. I hate writing reviews like this, but I also dislike being treated unfairly especially when all I asked was for a simple thing. She was very rude and aggressive for absolutely no reason."

"This place is quite similar to a taqueria, and the food is really tasty. They don't spread the ingredients in their burritos very evenly, but it's still a very good burrito. I've tried both their burritos and bowls. The drink prices are surprisingly high, but they do have a fantastic lemonade and they sell Mexican Coke. The burritos are huge—so large that I can only occasionally finish the whole thing. It's a decent value overall; I would say the prices are a bit on the high side, but I still enjoy visiting this restaurant."

"I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this location, especially since it's my second issue here. A few months back, they forgot to include my chips and salsa in my online order, which was on me for not double-checking the bag. Today, I went into the restaurant and ordered veggie tacos, requesting the guacamole on the side. The server packaged the guacamole in a container, as I expected. However, when I reached the cashier, I was charged for the side of guacamole. I explained that I only wanted the guacamole that comes with the tacos served on the side, not an extra portion. The cashier insisted that she had to charge me because the container was larger than the amount typically served with the tacos. In my opinion, this reflects very poor customer service. 08/02/22."

"Pros: Solid downtown location. I really enjoyed this place prior to switching to a full vegan diet. There are some modifiable options—based on this website's overview and comments, I ordered a whole pinto (not refried burrito, smothered with vegetarian green chili, no cheese, no dairy, and added fajita veggies (told this could be on the side only . Cons: The menu is not labeled for dietary/vegan restrictions at all. I've received mixed answers from the staff on ingredients. Does anyone know why the refried beans and guacamole are vegetarian but not vegan? This place would be amazing if they could upgrade their menu with clear dietary/vegan indicators and a clear vegan menu option (preferably with vegan refried beans and guac! ."

"As usual from this place. I ordered a bowl that was thrown together, literally it was over when I was ready to leave the door. I asked for a medium cup that he rang and continued to focus on the phone that he had on me was as fine, but whatever. Then there was a problem with the pose. I paid a reception and then became of the gm my payment did not go through. That was the beginning of the whole meeting. My friend paid mine and her, and then he said the remaining balance was my sum after she had already paid for it. He could not communicate what is on and on this extremely rude. In my conversations about the subject, talk to his hands and roll his eyes. The behaviour was very immature to say the least. And then I asked for a refund at this point there was a payment problem and my bag was leak bean juice. The gm said I had to e-mail Chipotle for a refund and continued the next customer without hesitation. Very short and I have never heard that a CASH register cannot process a refund. Not sure what he was annoyed, but being the head of the store he could? ve kept his hesitation and treated the situation differently. From his behavior alone, I would rather take the longer ride to another place. Customer service 0 stars."

"Alrighty, I am not one to really ever go on yelp and do this. I got to say, todays order was underwhelming. I've eaten at this location before and the folks always make great bowls. Today, I went for lunch and decided I wanted to get a bowl with half carne asada and half chicken. So I placed my order and the girl that was prepping it was very nice and polite but I couldn't tell if it was her first day or first week or what was going on. When I came to placing the portions she literally didn't fill the spoon at all. My bowl looks like a kids bowl, the only thing that makes it look full is the guacamole that I paid for extra. When it came time to checking out, the cashier looked confused as to what she was charging me for. My co workers took a look at bowl and asked me why it looked that way. Again, I am not one to be a **** or make someone feel bad about their job, but come on.... Do better. Oh and the chicken was cold. Went back in to let them know, they remade my bowl same girl, and it wasn't any better still looked like a kids meal. I asked her is she could add more protein. The cops behind me though, they got FULL BOWLS because the cashier made it for them. Cute. I let them know to make everyone's bowls the same. Needless to say, there's a reason I hardly eat chipotle, jokes on me the one time I actually want it."

"I literally just stood in line for over an hour waiting to just order food. When I got up to order the worker who was working alone making everyone?s food stop taking orders and just work on online orders. Leaving everyone in line waiting. She did notsay anything to us she did not apologize she did not explain what was going on As everyone just stood there waiting for about 20more minutes. When she finally started to take my order she had a bad attitude she was tossing things around slamming spoonsinto the condiment bowls and was just very rude. I have never experienced this at any chipotle and I definitely will not begoing back to the Chipotle. I will travel further to go to another one before I give this store my business ever again. Whichsucks because it is so close to my house. I understand being short stash and training but at least explain to everyone what?sgoing on instead of leaving them standing there."

"I am extremely disappointed with Chipotle Mexican Grill and will not be returning. Today marked the fifth consecutive visit with major problems. I placed an online order for a pick-up at noon, which the restaurant suggested. I arrived on time, but nothing was ready. After waiting an additional 30 minutes, the order was finally prepared. Fortunately, we checked the bag and discovered there was no salad dressing and no chips. When asked, the staff said they didn't have any available. We had to request a refund. Once we got back to the office to eat, I found that the burrito bowl was incorrectly made, with an excessive amount of cilantro in the rice—much more than usual. This experience follows a series of previous issues, including food not being ready, many menu items unavailable, rude staff, inconsistent quality, and meals that were half the size of others in the same order."

"Steak made/served on NYE gave me food poisoning, was up from 2-10am with severe cramping and vomiting. I knew something was off as I was eating it. The food just didn’t taste right, especially the meat so I ended up throwing it away after a few bites. I even joked with my husband about it ? little did I know I’d spend the next 24 hours feeling like I’m dying. I almost went to hospital bc it was that bad, have not been able to hold anything down until the last hour. I know for a fact that it came from the chipotle as it’s the only thing I ate yesterday. Assuming it was the steak as my husband and stepdaughter got the same thing, but got chicken instead"

"I recently took a day trip to Plattsburgh and had a disappointing experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill. I ordered a bowl with chicken, which should have cost around $9 based on the menu. I paid with my Canadian MasterCard, but I didn't receive a receipt. When I sat down to enjoy my meal, I realized I was unsure about the price and the 15% tax rate in Quebec. I went back to the cashier to ask for my receipt. After looking through some printed receipts, he apologized and told me I had been overcharged. Remarkably, he recalled my order without asking for any details or my card number, despite it being a busy lunch time. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it's concerning that the cashier seemed to remember my order without proper verification. Charging me $11.50 for beef and an extra $2.50 for guacamole seems intentional and unacceptable. Is it because I'm a visual Asian with a Canadian credit card?"

"Last week, I placed two separate orders through the app for pickup at 2:40 PM on different days. Each time, I arrived at 2:50 PM on my way to work, and neither order was even started. Both times, they were running 10-15 minutes behind schedule. There were only one or two people working at the branch, so it didn't seem like they were overly busy. The person at the register simply apologized, but it felt insincere given the delays. This is unacceptable. They clearly have enough staff to manage online orders, yet the service was lacking. On top of that, the prices seem to increase weekly, and the portion sizes are disappointing. In the first picture, you can see another customer in gray sweatpants waiting just like I was—more than 10 minutes late for his order as well."

"Regular customer and always had fine service but when I went two days ago with my family , the front line person was horrible!! Didn?t welcome or greet us when we were next just started at us like if I was supposed to read him mind . Next I told him first part of the ordered and continue to look forward no eye contact and I ask him ? are you ready for us?? He just looked like ? duhhh? after he was done with us he kept looking around sighing and shaking his head at how much business was coming in and honestly did not like the service.
