"As soon as you enter this restaurant you are greeted with the delicious smell of Indian spices. It was an amazing experience that I would love to enjoy again. This restaurant is sure to satisfy your cravings and your taste buds in one sitting. We ordered the Chicken Samosas, Butter Chicken, Mushroom Mutter, and Chicken Tikka. The samosas were filled with delicious chicken. The outside was a bit bready for my liking, but that’s fine. The butter chicken took my breath away. Oh my god the butter chicken is soooo delicious. It comes with a bowl of rice which perfectly compliments it. The rice was perfectly cooked and further brought out the deliciousness of the butter chicken. The mushroom mutter was delicious. It had a nutty taste to it and was served with nice and tender mushrooms. It didn’t come with rice tho. The chicken tikka was perfect. This famous dish will be famous with your taste buds too. The Tomato sauce perfectly accompanies the marinated chicken. It was amazing. The employees were so kind and helpful. They had no problem changing the recipe to make it less spicy. They were even kind enough to answer all our questions. They truly made the experience more wonderful. TLDR: clean restaurant with beautiful decor and delicious food with amazing staff. 10/10 would recommend"

"I used to really love going to the buffet here. It was really good. They recently moved and I think they changed kitchen staff. The buffet now is super meat heavy. Almost all the vegetarian dishes had cheese in them. We also ordered a la cart a few months ago. The taste and the quality of the food seems to have diminished. In an area with lots of Indian restaurants, vegetarians and vegans can try something much better. Taj Grill, Star of India and Jewel of India are a few."

"It was a near-3-star experience with the service 3*, food 3*, ambience 2*. The trip to Henrico (13 miles) and the locations (several miles on a busy strip) might slow down an eager diner staying in the city. We enjoyed a beer and glass of wine, appetizers, and entrée (lamb biryani, sizzling meat platter) and enjoyed all of this. Still, having dined at a number of Indian restaurants, we were unclear as to how India K'Raja was rated so highly."

"My first visit to this Township 5 restaurant was an enjoyable one. I had for years frequented India House in Liverpool and its downtown predecessor, Taste of India. Unfortunately, Indian House recently closed their doors and we are now looking for another restaurant where we can enjoy our favorite Indian dishes. Although nothing I tasted here equaled the quality or deliciousness of what I was accustomed to at our old haunt, the food was nevertheless pretty good. Two items, though, fell far short of my expectations, the puri bread and the pistachio kulfi ice cream. Neither were made in house. From the internet, it appears that the garlic naan is made on site and it receives positive reviews. As a nice touch, the restaurant provided a basket of papadum with three sauces. For an appetizer, my wife and I decided to split an order of aloo gobi masala. This, combined with our main courses of lamb tikka masala and lamb rogan josh comprised an enjoyable meai. The service was outstanding. We will return, but will know better what to order next time."

"This is one of my favorite eating places in town. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and the food is always awesome. Last night I had tandoori chicken with a spice range of 5 out of 10. I played it safe but it was really nice and spicy. The rice and the naan bread were awesome as well. I followed that up with a lemongrass soup that was fantastic. I'll be sure to give them another visit very soon. The ambiance was fantastic as well as the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and got my order right the first time. The next time I go I will plan to eat there as I've been taking everything home the last two visits. Great job and I give them a RAVE review...."

"Hungry and decided to try this place since it was mentioned by some people at the local mosque about the food being halal, BUT when we asked the server (both times), we were told only the lamb and goat are halal, but not the chicken ?????? Food nothing to rave about. Schezuan fried rice spiciness is good, but taste is blah.. Garlic naan was good, except they were oily! Lamb vindaloo, shrimp fish tikka masala are just okay, and as for mango lassi, it was filled with ice cubes and aren't thick consistency. Had much better Indian cuisine at the other Indian restaurant in New Hartford."

"Everything was delicious, from the Tandoori Roti to the Garlic Naan! The Shrimp Jalfrazi had the perfect amount of spice to warm me up, and the Paneer Makhani was great as well. The sauce was thick and paired well with the Peshawari Naan."

"I ordered Paneer Kathi Roll and Masala Tea. The Tea was fine, nothing exceptional not bad either whereas the Paneer Roll was worst I have ever tasted.1. The Kati Roll isn't served in a roti/paratha. Instead they use super thin tortilla wraps. What a joke.2. I've attached a photo and video. The outside bread of the roll is not at all cooked. It's sticky, soft, gooey like stretchy dough. Hopefully I don't have a stomach ache tonight lol.3. Lastly, even if they had cooked the bread properly then too the paneer stuffing inside wasn't flavourful at all. Such a shame.I do not understand why such restaurants need 100 menu items if they can barely cook 10 of them right. Customers want quality food for their money, not that when they walk in they see oh wow look they 100 menu items. So much to choose from only find out nothing tastes good.Mostly likely never coming here again. Save your money and go elsewhere!Advice to the restaurant Remove random stuff from the menu if you have no clue how to make it. What a waste of time and money."

"Maharja has been my favorite restaurant for catering for my home parties and I recently ordered food from them for a count of 30 at my Diwali Party. Coming from Delhi and a foodie and from a family of incredible cooks passionate about food, am always on a lookout for delicious and consistent north Indian food! Maharaja outdid itself this time. From placing the order on phone to delivery to serving and keeping food warm to calling it a wrap, Mandip (from Maharaja) made it seamless and deliciously flawless. She arrived sharp on time, had brought her burners, serving spoons etc., organized the food, had attention to detail to presentation, ensured it stayed warm and took care of wrapping up after the party. Every single guest loved the food and couldn't stop raving about it Hara Bhara Kebab, Panneer Tikka and Dahi Vada in appetizers, Dal Makhni, Kadi, Aloo Gobhi and Paneer Makhni in Main course, along with Onion Kulcha, Garlic Naan, rice, Raita, onions and Rabri Jalebi, Mango Kheer and Gulab Jamun in Dessert! All of it was awesome, but Kadi, Jalebi, Kebab, onion kulchs were the biggest Hits! Fresh, delicious and quality food! I want to take a moment and call out Mandip for being super diligent, fast, ever smiling and single handedly managing the show from end to end! I didn't have to worry about food at all and could spend time with my friends and family."

"We decided to try this place while here in the area for a while. I'm not familiar with Indian food in general apart from really basic things like chicken tandoori and samosas so I decided to try this place out with my family. I got the chicken tandoori rice bowl in mild. Sadly, it was still way too spicy for me so I wasn't able to eat much of it but it tasted good and was prepared nicely and was a decent portion size. My husband had the szechuan chicken rice bowl which he enjoyed but even as a spicy food lover, his was still pretty hot for him. My son had the chicken tandoori burger which he ate about half of and of course he finished the fries that came with it. The cocktail samosas were amazing, I had the majority of them lol. The last thing we had was the masala fries, which again, were good but a little too spicy for me. I think if we tried this place again, I would have to go there and ask questions about the food instead of ordering online for pickup."

"The lamb samosas were AHMAYZING not too gamey, lots of flavor. Their mint chutney and tamarind sauce are a must with the samosas! Our butter chicken and paneer spinach dish (palak masala saag) was super flavorful and right on point. The paneer naan could use a tad more salt to bring out the paneer flavor, but very enjoyable all the same. The mango lassi was perfect. I hardly ever comment on the interior of places, but the bright orange interior leaves something to be desired; at least the lighting is mood lighting so the orange isn't tooo bad but I'd personally go with a sage green for that place. Vegetarian options: Entire section for the vegetarians Parking: If there isn't a yoga class going on across the street, there's plenty of parking along the street leading up to it Kid-friendliness: I saw kids, dunno of they have coloring menus or not"

"We had taken our friends here for a Saturday brunch. We ordered a few different types of paranthas, paneer vegetable, mixed vegetable and dal along with some starters. I also ordered a buttermilk. The paranthas were good. But the buttermilk came at the end of the meal when we were all done with the food. I had specifically mentioned that we would like to start with the buttermilk. Moreover the buttermilk tasted weird. When I asked them to not charge us for the buttermilk, the person just made a face and charged us anyway. I was disappointed with the customer service."

"This is our go to Indian place for vegetarian food. All pandemic we ordered or picked up food from here. Although there are tons of Indian restaurants on El Camino, this one stands out with superior food on taste and freshness. We love many dishes namely Chole bhature, makki ki roti sarso ka saag, wada paav, parathas and thali. Thali has sensible portions that won’t put you in food coma. Staff is very welcoming and wonderful staff member Pankaj accommodated my food allergies. Overall a great place to dine in! Update: I reviewed this restaurant a month back giving out 5 stars. But based on today’s experience, I want to take off some stars. This is about the customer service which is really inconsistent. I am allergic to dairy and wanted to replace a dairy item from my house thali, last few times it was honored by a kind employee of the restaurant but today other servers refused even though this wouldn’t have impacted their business in any way, the restaurant was full. Indian restaurants doesn’t take allergy concerns seriously. I was ordering food from here for years, seems they wouldn’t be getting my business any more!!!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Chicken Tikka masala at this restaurant. The flavors were unforgettable and I would give the food a 5-star rating. However, I deduct 2 stars for the loud arguing among the chefs in the back room. It was unsettling for me and other diners, and made for a less enjoyable dining experience. I believe the restaurant staff should strive to be more professional and respectful towards customers to ensure a pleasant environment for all patrons."

"I generally don't write bad reviews, I was very unsatisfied with the food today, my daughter wanted to eat gobi Manchurian, I was skeptical to order here, just gave it a chance but was more than disappointed, it was over powered with ketchup and veryspicy it was 9.99$ put to trash ????, I just requested if he can cancel the samosa order and replace with bhel Puri, even thatwas not honored he said samosas were already done... Oh Really! was it freshly made for us the taste did not say so ???? and themost surprising was we had to put the sugar for tea before it was served, he made us put the sugar in a Togo cup and then gotthe ?...we never had this experience in any of the bay area restaurants.. a big no"

"I had a bit of trouble locating this restaurant because Google Maps provided incorrect directions. However, once I found it, it was definitely worth the effort. They offer both a buffet and a menu. I decided to order from the menu, and everything was served promptly. The samosas were delicious, as was the butter chicken."
