"This is one of my favorite eating places in town. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and the food is always awesome. Last night I had tandoori chicken with a spice range of 5 out of 10. I played it safe but it was really nice and spicy. The rice and the naan bread were awesome as well. I followed that up with a lemongrass soup that was fantastic. I'll be sure to give them another visit very soon. The ambiance was fantastic as well as the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and got my order right the first time. The next time I go I will plan to eat there as I've been taking everything home the last two visits. Great job and I give them a RAVE review...."

My first time in tried the Goan Prawns and LOVED it. Will definitely be back to try more. Comes with naan, that's quite good, but not pictured. Service at lunch time was fast.

I ordered Paneer Kalimirch and Malai Kofta. Both curries' preparation was too bad as they contained too much oil and were tasteless. In my opinion, now the quality of food is compromised, a bad experience!! View menu

I ordered Paneer Kalimirch and Malai Kofta, but both curries were poorly prepared. They were overly oily and lacked flavor. I believe the quality of the food is at risk, making for a disappointing experience!

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, mixed Tandoori platter, Goan Shrimp Curry, coconut chicken curry. Each came with 2 sides, Basmati rice, Daal, Naan and spring salad. Service was excellent. Decor was very nice. The food was good.

Went there for lunch. Ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh and Tandoori chicken lunch specials. They were good and pretty authentic. The salad and lentils soup were a nice addition. Generous portion of naan. Will definitely go back again. View menu

Ambiances is good. We tried lassi and lemon grass soup, both were delicious and set high expectations for main course. For main course we tried kadai paneer which mostly have no curry filled with lots of onions, capsicums and paneer which was hard to eat with naan, sooooo dry to eat. Other one we tried fish curry, the curry had fried fish added in it and we didn't like it. All curry we ordered with naan which was good and they gave Rita with the every curry. Quantity is little less, can say limited to a person.

I cannot give this restaurant 5 stars because it is not completely vegetarian, but it is still my absolute favorite. The food here is absolutely delicious. I especially enjoy their Pindi Channa Masala and Naan bread. I highly recommend trying the Pindi Channa Masala or Aloo Gobi with a side salad and Naan bread. Make sure to let the staff know that you want it to be vegan so they don't use any butter. They have always been very accommodating and willing to make adjustments to accommodate vegan requests. I highly recommend Curry and More.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
