"This is the best Indian food place in CO by far! Biki has always taken amazing care of us, great service always with a big smile! Biki has even made us special hot sauces since we like our food spicy! He goes above and beyond to spoil us, it’s like we’re at someone’s home! Janae is the best bar tendress in town!! We love to chat new cocktail concoctions with her and came up together with an amazing tamarind mezcalrita that she just kills!!! No one else is shaking up the drinks like Janae! Girl works so hard to make every drink special! Thanks guys! -The Catalano’s"

"A nice lunch in Chapel Hill. The restaurant was quiet due to the university out for the holiday break so nice for lunch. We had the shrimp tikka masala and the chettinad shrimp. Both delicious. The chettinad was a lot more spicy but really good flavor. Only downside on both entrees was the shrimp was left “tail on” so made it a bit messy to eat since covered in sauce. The house garlic naan was exceptional. We will be back!! Friendly and prompt service. Restaurant was very clean."

"No doubts at all, food is excellent. But the day we visited it was super busy and only 2 waiters among approximately 10 tables. Though they were trying their best. Hopefully managers can have more waiters during those busy times. No one at the front counter when we arrived. Waiter there for about 10 minutes for someone to show up. This restaurant does take open table reservation but the person who showed up at desk told us they don’t have any reservation from us. Glad the wait time was only 12-15 minutes."

"What can I say about food that is served from the heart, no adjective can do justice, we were visiting Denver for fall break and found this little gem, we were so glad we found such authentic Indian fare in Denver that we visited this place every single day we were there. We had barota kurma which was a flavor bomb, we had it multiple times, we also tried the potato fry, okra kaara kuzhambu and a humongous family dosa and Navratan kurma.I cannot fault them in any way, so very flavorsome, the servings were so generous and served with passion. We met the owners/ chef, and we could tell that they take pride in every plate that goes out of their kitchen. The service was great too. If you live in Denver or if you are passing by, do visit this place, you will definitely go again and again. This is a gem that cannot be missed. We hope to come again sometime soon..."

"We celebrated my daughter's birthday during our second visit to Sapphire, which she chose as her preferred restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. They surprised her with a birthday dessert that she absolutely loved. My oldest daughter enjoyed the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp, while I had the Tandoori Mix Grill. The birthday girl relished her Shrimp Curry, and another guest enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. The rice and garlic naan were delicious too. My takeout Panang Curry Chicken was excellent, featuring red curry, lime leaves, coconut milk, and peanuts, all served with crispy steamed broccoli."

"Buyer beware! Not allergy friendly!! We ordered through Door Dash last night and wasted $40 on food that was inedible. My family has a dairy allergy and I clearly requested in my order that each item be gluten free, vegan and mild. Upon receiving the order I thought it looked suspicious so I called to check and sure enough these dishes contain dairy! Also the peas pilau was freezing cold as if they forgot to heat the dish before sending (which also means they likely microwave to go food in styrofoam! . At first I thought the peas pilau was supposed to be served chilled but the fellow on the phone Nandu confirmed it should have been heated and also confirmed that despite my requests the majority of our food contained dairy. He was quite abrupt and did not apologize or offer to correct any of the errors. Seemed like he just wanted me off the phone and didn't care that they ruined our dinner, wasted our money, and could have made my family very sick by including dairy in our food despite the notes on the order. The one dish which supposedly did not contain dairy was the Mushroom Mutter but even this was disappointing as the veggies tasted old like they came from cans and it was very spicy for a dish that was requested mild. So many problems with this order, makes me question everything about this restaurant. If they are not careful with preparing the food, then how careful are they when cleaning and sanitizing their kitchen?? I am completely dissatisfied with the food and customer service. I was not offered a refund or replacement or even an apology! Such a frustrating experience and a total waste of time and money."

"Tasty vegetarian food. Very good variety of dosas. Their chutneys are good but not amazing. Puree/Poori was good but very oily inside. Choley was salty and not anything special to write about. Their indo-chinese menu items like Chinese Bhel starter and Schezwan noodles or fried rice with paneer are excellent.Restrooms are conveniently accessible but could use a face-lift. Passage around the kitchen leading to Restrooms is disappointing. Staff are always friendly and courteous, but don't give good answers to questions, besides being very casually dressed which makes the dining experience seem like a university dining visit.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian only restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Very difficult to find handicap accessible parking. You have to pull your vehicle in front of the restaurant entrance to conveniently unload person in wheelchair, though that seems unsafe with vehicular traffic.Entrance and restrooms are easily accessible by wheelchair"

"A new favorite Indian Restaurant in San Rafael. Truly excellent and decent portions of Asian Indian foods. Located in what was the Orgazma Pizza place, that closed a year or two ago. To us it was such a dirty place that we only went when the grandchildren were younger. In talking to the new owner of Lotus, I mentioned the location and he agreed that it was so bad that they gutted the interior and totally rebuilt the current, very classy and beautiful, award winning Lotus Indian Cuisine of India. The menu is extensive with many options in each category and all food is prepared when ordered so you are getting a fresh meal every time rather than coming from a previously cooked batch. The menu has descriptions of each offering, so you do not have to be an Asian Indian to understand what you are ordering. A lot of neat appetizers. I think I would like to nosh my way through a meal with friends consisting of appetizers! Likewise, lots of Indian breads. And we liked that you could order a selection of three to sample them. Curries: vegetarian, chicken, seafood, lamb and goat. Don't be afraid of goat as it is quite good in any of the rich curry gravies. Ditto lamb. Try. Clay Pit Oven baked Tandoorie selections and there are the rice Biriyani dishes. Also, Indian desserts and an array of non alcoholic beverages which include the heat reducing, delicious Lassis. A daily lunch buffett is offered from 11am 2pm. And take out is a regular part of their business. You can order, for an up charge, organic chicken and gluten free items. Ask your wait person. An excellent date place and they can do parties. We are so happy to see them in San Rafael. You will be happy also, when you experience the ambiance and excellent dishes."

"We had the very special Dindigul Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani, Medhu Vada, Masala Dosa, Chole Bhature and Chai. The owner said that the biryani was very special and was not in other Indian restaurants near Texas. Biryani should have short-grained rice that is very unusual for Biryani. We tried and loved it absolutely. It was certainly a very unique biryani in fact. The Raita itself was good and fresh. We also loved the Medhu Vada and the Chole Bhature. The food in this restaurant is very fresh, that is why it tastes so good. The Medhu Vada and Bhatura were so fresh and delicate, homemade. I'd say the chai could taste better, but since it was free, I wouldn't complain. Another improvement point could be bhatura. Although I loved it, but it was slightly oily (I understand it is deep fried). The server was not the most energetic because when we asked to feed outside, he hesitated, but the owner was very welcoming. She asked us if we wanted to dine on the terrace and put it right away. She also gave us a free dessert. I'm definitely back."

"Two of us, who had never visited the Copper Pot before, dined there for lunch on a Monday. We arrived a bit late, so the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was excellent, and the owner was very attentive and helpful in answering our questions about different menu items. We're looking forward to returning with a few more friends so we can try more of the delicious offerings."

"The food is so expensive! Just for 1 paneer dish, idli vada combo and Chana bhatura I paid 40 bucks. Not only that they forgot to include the button on for which I had paid already! And then, when I open my meduvada, guess what I see, each medu vada each 1 inch diameter. I would recommend to down in as in carry out they skimp on quantity! Paneer and chole was bland no spice at all."

"I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. My favorites were the crispy spinach appetizer and the chicken tikka masala. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the menu offers some incredibly creative options. The waiting staff was attentive without being intrusive. I also consider this one of my favorite spots for lunch."

"I recently ordered catering from Tamarind Greentree for an event and was truly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The Malabar Chicken Curry was a standout dish, featuring tender, juicy chicken cooked to perfection in a rich, flavorful sauce. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous. The Veg Kurma was also a hit, with a delicious blend of vegetables in a creamy, slightly sweet sauce that paired perfectly with the naan. The vegetables were cooked just right, maintaining their crunch. Every time I have dined in at Tamarind Greentree, the service has been attentive and the staff knowledgeable about the menu. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. In conclusion, Tamarind Greentree is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine. The Malabar Chicken Curry, Veg Kurma, Chicken 65, and Bahubali Biriyani are all must-try dishes! Will I be returning? Absolutely, and I'll be bringing friends along next time!"

"I was in an Indian movie, so I decided to have a great Indian brunch. the movie was long so I really appreciated that the restaurant was open until 15:00. it was 2:00 when I arrived, and there were still many delicious offers at the buffet. actually there were so many different types of dressed that I couldn't taste them all! what gave me a food was one of them plant chow mine! an Indian feedbuffet! as well as always, the normal standards that I love not disappointed, butter huhn, tandoori huhn, papdum, all were excellent! also loved the cheerful and carrots halwa dessert. I will return definitiw after passage to india if I happen to be in the neighbourhood. otherwise it is a destination from san jose to mountain view, about 20 mi."

"This was my second time dining here with my friend. Upon a bad first experience (our food was incredibly salty and the customer service was poor), we decided to try them out a second time, as inexpensive Indian restaurants are few and far between. Immediately after we sat down, we noticed a difference between how the servers treated my friend and me. I am African American and my friend is white-passing. They continuously placed all of the dishes on her side of the table. I can’t even comment on their customer service, as it was practically non-existent. After my friend paid the bill, we left and went our separate ways. I was almost two blocks away from the restaurant and in another establishment, when I saw a man waving at me through the window. It was an employee from the restaurant. He accused me of not paying, however, as I mentioned, I wasn’t even the one who had paid for our lunch. Furthermore, my friend was given a receipt after they presumably charged her card. I told him that my friend had already left, however, he made it clear to me that he was not going to leave. I came back to the restaurant and paid for my meal. My friend checked her bank account and the server did not charge her card, however, to track me down and insinuate that I had intentionally left without paying, is absolutely unacceptable. The bill was $38 in total. Please spare yourselves the trouble and dine somewhere else. I recommend New Dehli Palace, across the street."

"This restaurant offers fantastic Indian cuisine in the university district. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the flavors are definitely worth it. Be sure to try the garlic naan—it's a standout! For the best taste experience, I recommend choosing a medium level of spice. The ambiance is also pleasant, with Indian music playing softly in the background. As for vegetarian options, I highly recommend the garlic naan, although I wasn't a fan of the chole paneer."
