"Update: since this experience I haven't had one nearly as bad as this the pizza is good and the cheesecake is delicious glad I tried it again after the bad first impression. I know it's the Superbowl but I really can't accept this experience. Driver was amazing even went back to the restaurant to get an extra pizza. Reason why because our order took over 2 hours to get here and unfortunately they didn't even bring us 1 of the pizza we actually ordered. We got 2 random meat covered pizzas and all we ordered was extra cheese chicken. The extra pizza was nice but I'm still not happy with getting 2 pizzas I can't eat. Wings are good but this was a terrible experience. Glad I ordered them since it was the only think I could eat from a $50 order. I think what we originally ordered would've been good and I could've eaten this one if not for the other meats. Ordered through slice."

"Won’t recommend this place.I usually try to write reviews based on the food quality and the restaurant environment. But in this case, I can’t consider anything else but the very poor customer service.The waitress didn’t get our order right. She duplicated the order by mistake. When we sent the extra back instead of apologies, the owner came out and act like we did something wrong. All we wanted was her to correct the servant mistake but She was not hesitating to yell . She was not willing to listen to even the servant’s explanation. Her only concern was money and by yelling she wanted to make sure we are responsible for duplicated food.If you like to have a peaceful food with in a great environment, this place is NOT the right one."

"Had an amazing customer service experience, probably the best in my life hehe. Sebastian was at the register and was the one who provided the service for me.Here is some detail. I usually walk in and stand a little back of the counter, until I decide what I want. I walked in and wanted to do the same and stand back. Sebastian greeted me and invited me to the counter by starting to explain the menu to me (quick and brief, highlighting the different categories and the side choices for their combo meals). That alone grabbed my attention, since I dont usually like to be pressured into getting something (thats why I stand back until I decide), but his description was so good that it made it easier for me to make my food choice right there and then. Then he offered me sauce choices and I paid. He brought the food to my table and even asked me if I needed anything else (Usually only full blown restaurants do that kind of service).Anyway, just want to say Sebastian's customer service was superb and will make me want to come back to the store again.P.S.: Another customer also positively commented on Sebastian's customer service, that's how good he is."

"I am extremely disappointed that our favorite restaurant, which we have been frequenting for the last 2-3 years, has experienced a decline in food quality. Yesterday, I ordered a combo plate that seemed like it had been sitting for 3 days, as the bread was very hard and had to be broken on the counter. We are used to receiving hot, freshly prepared bread. The meat was tough and cold, especially the lamb which was forgotten to be included in our takeout order. After comparing my experience with other reviews, it seems that the food quality has been consistently deteriorating."

"I went to this restaurant for lunch before noon. When I walked in, I noticed that two employees were talking behind the counter and one was sitting in a booth on his phone. After placing my order, I tried to find a table to sit at but the tables and floor were dirty and hadn't been cleaned. I was surprised that the manager allows this to happen. The restaurant looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. As more people arrived, the place quickly filled up but no one could sit because the tables and floor were dirty. Additionally, I witnessed an employee yelling at an elderly customer. It seems like this place has no rules and is not monitored by Fairfax County."

"I always walk by this place and want to try it but didn't get around to it until a few weeks ago. Placed a pickup order and it was ready a couple minutes before they said it would so pickup was very fast. The employees at the door and the bar were both very friendly. We ordered the kubideh kabob, jujeh kabob, kashk-e-bademjan, and a side of shireen polo and plain basmati. The chicken was surprising juicy (I don't love chicken breast) but the kubideh was just a tad dry. Both had very very good flavor though and I would get both again. The kashk-e-bademjan (eggplant dip) was incredible and I will probably get this every time we go here it was that good. The shireen polo was a tad sweet for me but still really good. We want to try the other 2 specialty rices as well, but the plain basmati is hard to beat. It looks like it still has saffron and some kind of butter or oil on it, it was anything but plain, so good. Last thing is the portion sizes. 2 meals and 2 sides was enough for probably 3.5 meals for us so the portions were definitely generous Will absolutely be back to try more of the food!"

"I used to be a loyal customer at this restaurant, visiting at least once a week. About 3-4 weeks ago, I placed an order for 3 combos over the phone for a business meeting. When I picked up the bag and left, I realized that it only contained 2 items and they were not what I had ordered. Due to lack of time, I didn't go back to complain and simply left it until my next visit. On two subsequent visits, I forgot to mention the issue. Today, when I finally remembered, they refused to give me a refund because I hadn't called immediately. This lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable to me. I will not be returning to this restaurant and will be sharing my experience with others. Lesson learned."

"I have been eating at this restaurant for the past 8 days, and the only food I crave is Iranian cuisine. I have been ordering chengeh kabob and joojeh kabob almost every day from Moby Dick, either through Uber Eats or DoorDash. The food is always delivered quickly and is of good quality, with reasonable prices. They also have an Iranian shop attached to the restaurant where I can find all the necessary groceries, including sangak bread, Khame, and my favorite Iranian pickles. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to get fast, casual Iranian food."

"I've been to Moby Dick in Vienna before so I knew what to expect here. Basically, if you take Middle Eastern food and apply a fast food / fast casual aesthetic to the restaurant, this is what you get. In practice, although prices tend towards the high side, one does get adequate portions and the meat is seasoned well enough. This Moby Dick restaurant, like the one in Vienna, also seems to be kept rather clean. There is a bit of a communication problem though. I asked for my order to be dine-in but they ended up packing it to go. I got extra bread out of the deal though because the cashier handed me some bread while I was waiting. When I saw that my order was packed to go, I decided to go with the flow and make it takeout. Later, I found that they'd packed more bread with my order!"

"I ordered the ground beef kabobs accompanied by a green sauce that has a nice kick, as well as a white sauce for the salad made from yogurt mixed with herbs. It was fantastic! You can really taste the difference in the meat, which is marinated for one to two days in advance. The marinated chickpeas and basmati rice paired perfectly with the dish. The food was exceptional, and I can't recommend it highly enough!"

"My husband and I had a date night and decided to stay at a hotel downtown. This way we can walk everywhere and enjoy our beautiful hometown of Savannah. As we were walking we passed by this restaurant and oh my goodness! The smell from the kitchen hit our nostrils so hard....it was truly hypnotic. We stopped to read the outside and menu and learned that this is a Mediterranean restaurant. We were a bit skeptical but the aroma from the food was convincing enough. We ordered water and sweet tea. That tea was down south sweet...lol...loved it! For our entrée we ordered the platter (forgot the name) but you get a TON of food. It can easily feed 4 adults. We had lamb, chicken, and filet mignon. The rice alone was so buttery and delicious! Obviously we had leftovers, and when I tell you...I ate off my leftovers for two days!! The only thing I wish is that they offered mixed drinks. They do have wine and beer, but I'm not a fan of either. You also have the option of hooka. This is a small quaint place with music, fun customers, and amazing food. It's definitely worth a try!"

"After a 3-mile walk, my boyfriend and I had lunch at Moby Dick House of Kabob in the Village at Shirlington. Elisa took our order and gave us a receipt with our order number. My boyfriend enjoyed the Ground Lamb Sandwich with their spicy green colored chutney. I enjoyed Moby's Combo II, which consisted of Kubideh and Joojeh with Rice. I enjoyed this dish with sumac and must-o-kheyar. The meat were tender and quite flavorful with it with the condiments. It came with freshly made pita bread!"

"I have always went to Mobydick I have always went to it. They have amazing food and amazing employees but this location of Mobydick isn’t the best to go to the manger was being rude and disrespectful to us I understand sometimes people can have hard days but I just felt disgusted and genuinely annoyed. I was very shocked of how I was treated the employees are very nice and amazing it’s just the manger who was being rude and disrespectful I didn’t like that at all and I would definitely recommend going to another location of Mobydick. There are a bunch of locations better then this one I high recommend it to go to another location and not this one it will ruin your day cause it definitely ruined mine because of the mangers attitude."
