"I have been to Agora a couple of times now, and the food and the atmosphere is very good. It's a bit upscale for the area (Northwood), but that lends itself to a nice dinner. The staff know what it means to be vegan and will help you navigate the mostly meat and dairy based menu. I had some wonderful hummus, pita, and olives to start my dinner. Next I had the sautéed fresh artichoke and lima beans, which was tasty but unusual since the artichoke is served cold. The roasted whipped eggplant is nice too, if you like a roasted, smoky eggplant. If you will eat fried food, the fried zucchini croquettes were nice for a warm food option. By far the best part of the meal was the falafel, which was not too heavy and full of flavor. The falafel was served with hummus and baby green side salad. Unfortunately, there was no vegan dessert but I had a nice glass of champagne."

"The food was very, very good however the portions were ridiculously small. I actually laughed out loud when I saw my husband's entree which was a remarkably thin sliver of chicken breast, not more than 3/4 of an inch wide, and one exceptionally small, narrow celery stick with something on top of it. While the flavors are there, for the price, you shouldn't walk away hungry."

"This is one of our favorite places to dine! The food is always authentic and delicious. The location is fantastic; right in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. "Istanbul blue was fairly decent. I got the mixed grill and the portions were too small for $30. It was enough to feed a small child and adult. Additionally, kabobs were not as seasoned and a bit dry. The service was nice to let us in, despite the last minute reservation. Food did take a long time to come, like about 45 mins, but I wouldn’t say it was worth the wait."

"The service by the only waiter that was there this past Sunday was poor. Despite the place being virtually empty, he was slow to come to my table to take an order, and had to be asked twice for tap water. The red lentil soup $9) was in the form of a lentil broth, it had little flavor. It had no noticeable thickness. The lamb shank $29) was moist and tasty, it came with eggplant puree, which was also good."

"My daughters and I came for Mother's Day brunch and were the sole customers. I guess people do not think to come to wine bar for brunch. They don't serve normal brunch fare like eggs and pancakes. The menu is limited to typical wine bar food like charcuterie, cheese, crostinis, etc. I enjoyed mimosa with our order of salmon crostini, prosciutto, brie and fig crostini and chicken panini. We sat at an outside table, which was very pleasant on nice, sunny day. There was only one gentlemen serving as both waiter and cook. He was courteous, attentive, and our food arrived promptly. This was my first time at this establishment but I would definitely return."

"The mention of a dry chicken sandwich leaves me puzzled. The main reason I order this sandwich is that the chicken is incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned; I couldn't improve it myself. I've had it around 10 times, and I've never been let down. It’s amazing every single time! The ćevapčiči are exceptional—well-seasoned and served in lepinja bread that’s pleasantly chewy, soaking up the juices from the meat. Just perfect! I've also enjoyed the doner in the past, which is quite tasty as well. My son has a huge love for cheese burek, so I often grab that for him. We've only tried the cheese variety, his favorite, since I usually make the other kinds myself. As for baklava, the portions are small, so I don’t order it frequently—not due to a lack of taste, but simply because I find it a bit overpriced."

"It was a good day here today. Sometimes the people can be quite testy. Only reason why I came was my buddy insisted since it had been a while for him. Our waitress 'Naglez ' was so sweet and helpful. She picked my entree and always came back with an awesome smile. I literally gave an additional 1/2 star because of her. There were not many people there since it was 3pm. The place is huge including a garden for summertime dining. It has several rooms to add whenever the place gets crowded the other rooms open up. My friend since he wanted to be here is a vegan. He ordered Tahiti and falafel. The think was creamy as butter and went well with the huge amount of bread they placed in the table. The bread was warm and ready. The falafel with crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and you can taste the freshness. The salad has much vinegar..it wasn 't bad for me but I can see how someone else may have a problem. Naglez ordered the sea bass for me after a brief conversation and it was well prepared. The extra acidity (again I like that) was good. My son even liked it when I brought it home. We made sure Naglez got a nice tip for making us feel welcome. The price is right here and deserving of more visits."

"Finally checked out Bosphorous and it was so worth the wait! We walked in around 8:30pm on a Saturday without a reservation, so we anticipated waiting a bit. On the contrary, they were able to seat us on the patio right away! It was a lovely night and we were not complaining. Inside has beautiful Turkish decor and artwork, and the restaurant smells delicious. It is a bustling little place, packed full of people who all looked like they were enjoying their food and the atmosphere. The patio was quaint with soft lighting and plenty of opportunities for people watching. The food was INCREDIBLE. Hands down some of the yummiest Turkish food I've tried. We got the bread and hummus, which was so fresh and addictive. I kept digging in for more hummus. I tried the iskender kebap for my entreé and was not disappointed. My ONLY disappointment was the size of mug used for the Bosphorous Mule cocktail (too small for my liking! but the drink itself was very good. I would eat here again and again!!"

"We had the Lahmacun to start with, and that pretty much said what the rest of our meal was like. It was delicious. We had the MB Angus Platter Mix for the main course. I want whatever they marinade their meats with. The flavor wasn't overpowering. The marinade just brought out the flavor of the meats, while keeping those Mediterranean flavors intact. We had the rice pudding, and irmik and ice cream. Both weren't too sweet and were such good palate cleansers. Their ice cream was nice and creamy, which made me wonder if they made their own. Overall, the food was really good, and we will definitely be coming back. The place was nice and clean. The service was quick, and the food was brought out in a timely manner. We went here on a Sunday night for dinner. I'm not sure how busy they get on their other days and times, but hopefully they're consistent with their service and their food."

"Main Street Grill is now SUMELA'S. Sumela's (formerly Main Street Grill) specializes in Turkish, Greek and other Mediterranean cuisines. The owner, Matt, is friendly and gracious, seems to know everyone, and makes it feel like a real neighborhood place (which, happily, it is- for me). The food is delicious! Best hummus in town, terrific Greek salad (I always add chicken), gyros, falafel, and even Turkish pizza (which I highly recommend). The regular waitresses, Caitlyn and Anna, are very attentive and efficient. Outdoor dining available. Very reasonable prices. Give it a try."

"While our meals were being prepared, we decided to pre-order a selection of the mouthwatering desserts from their extensive bakery, which is a must-try! It was the perfect way to wrap up our meal. I just wish this place were closer to my home! However, if I'm ever near Smith Haven Mall again, I will definitely return to this restaurant. My daughter plans to recommend it to her colleagues in Patchogue, encouraging them to dine here too. The waitstaff were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring my dietary restrictions of low salt and no peppers were met, allowing me to choose my preferred grilled vegetables. "We decided to order takeout through DoorDash and pick up our food in person. The food was ready on time and everything went smoothly. However, the food quality was surprisingly low. In addition, the package was leaking oil due to the poor packing. I personally ordered chicken sauté, and my friend ordered lentil soup along with a lamb dish. Since our order exceeded $15, we received a free Revani. The chicken was extremely salty and greasy, while my friend found the lamb to be dry. The only item that met our expectations was the lentil soup, so I'm giving it two stars. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but we were highly dissatisfied with the food quality. In the future, I might give this restaurant another try, but until then, my negative review will stand."

"This is the most stylish restaurant with characteristic flooring I have seen since I came to America. The location is great, it's a very friendly,warm place. "If you're looking for a delicious brunch spot, make sure to check out Edibles Essentials. I tried the bacon sandwich with havarti, while my husband opted for the ham sandwich with brie. We also shared the gravy and biscuits. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly, the breakfast potatoes were fried to perfection with a crispy outside and fluffy inside, and sprinkled with coarse salt. We also indulged in a mixed berry custard tart, despite being full, and it was definitely worth it. This was our first visit to Edibles Essentials, but it definitely won't be our last. I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as fantastic. The owner, Matt, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Small touches like that really make a difference and encourages me to support this establishment even more."

"I absolutely love Mediterranean cuisine, though I’ve never had Turkish food, I was expecting more flavor. Maybe it could be just me but it left little to be desired and did not keep well as leftovers. The meat as I know it to be prepared is mixed with spices and herbs but I tasted NONE of that in the chicken. The rice is not basmati, maybe jasmine but I think they could use a more flavorful rice especially since the meat isn’t well seasoned. It was a very bland experience. I ordered the Chicken Adana and they should really provide two scoops of rice to balance the protein portion. I got Doogh which is a Persian drink I forgot what they call it in Turkey, anyway, that was the more tasteful part of my meal. The atmosphere is serene and I hate that the food doesn’t match cuz I would definitely take myself out here to read had the food been good. Glad I came as I passed this place sometimes and was curious but I won’t be returning. Parking: Very SMALL parking lot enough for maybe 4 5 cars. "This is probably in my list of top 10 restaurants I've ever been to. It is, without a doubt, the freshest and best hummus I have ever had, as well as the best doner kebab. The service from Birol was top notch he had great recommendations for both a good wine to match as well as dessert. This place is a gem, and absolutely worth a visit if you like Mediterranean/Turkish food, or want to try something you never have before!"
