"Fuji was AMAZING! Right in the heart of down town Lowell, Ma., this Japanese Chinese culinary experience is waiting for you! The lunch special is reasonably priced $7.95 normally and $9.75 on the weekends) Call and double check though. Besides the food, I loved how unexpected the spice was. My husband and I walked in on a very quiet Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure if they had any other customers that day but when walked in we were the only two people there other than our hostess/waitress and cook). The restaurant was so expansive with mood lights in the ceiling creating the perfect ambiance. Our food was so good that re wanted to press rewind and eat it all over again. Please go eat at Fuji! You'll thank me later!!!"

"I'm really upset about finding hair in my food! I called immediately to let them know, and I mentioned that I might not return next time because this seems to be happening too often."

"To make matters worse, it was Christmas, and the girl taking our order was yelling while my husband and I were waiting for our food. She didn’t seem to know what was going on with our order and even lost another customer’s order. It was a sad experience overall—they really need to hire a new staff. The soy sauce was in a glass container, and I had to reheat it because it looked like gelatin when I received it."

"This used to be our favorite place to get Chinese food. We moved for a few years and just came back, and we were so excited to get a great dinner from here.I honestly cannot find a good thing to say about it other than the sweet and sour sauce was good. Their portions have shrunk (especially their rice), the chicken was undercooked and must have been sitting under some fish because the taste was WAY off. The egg rolls were second to store to bought, frozen egg rolls.Honestly, I would just assume pay more for the same quality food as before instead of them cutting corners with lower quality food. After eating here for so many years, I hate to just quit going but their excuses and indifference over our call to find missing food was enough. I hope they fix their issues, but we will be eating elsewhere."

"Great place for date night, or any occasion you are looking for to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. The inside of the restaurant was magical with just the right touches of decor and lighting coices interesting The music was soft enough to be able to converse and enjoyable/interesting enough to listen to if no talking is preferred or if dining solo. There are comfortable booths on each side and tables in the center. Most importantly, the food is delicious! It's fresh, cooked to perfection, piping hot right out of the pan. The place is super clean. The woman who served us was knowledgeable and efficient. She brought out a piece of cheesecake for me and my best friend to share when she found out it was my birthday. The cheesecake also was superb! It was a happy dining occasion across the board!??"

"The quality of the food varies greatly depending on who is in the kitchen that day. There is only one good waitress on staff. If you stick to the typical dishes like noodles and fried rice, you're likely to have a decent meal, but if you venture beyond the usual offerings, you can expect mistakes. The premium sushi is acceptable, but the non-premium options leave much to be desired. Despite spending hundreds here each month, we had a negative experience with an inexperienced waiter and chef that has caused us to take our business elsewhere. Additionally, the egg rolls made me feel unwell. Dining here feels like a gamble; one visit could be fantastic, while the next could turn into an expensive (and nonrefundable) disappointment."

"This is an exceptional neighborhood restaurant where the owner truly prioritizes customer satisfaction. You can customize all spicy dishes with a heat level from 1 to 5. The moo shu pork comes with light mandarin pancakes and is authentically seasoned."

"This was our first visit to NanKing and we plan to return! We were greeted promptly and seated right away. We were there for the vegan buffet and were not disappointed. A gentleman showed us the appetizer tables and explained how to assemble the little puffs I don’t remember what they are called, but they were delicious! We sampled nearly every item from the buffet and enjoyed seconds, and some thirds, of our favorites. The server was pleasant and attentive. A great dinner!! (Our only non positive comment is related to the uncomfortably chilly seat in a corner booth. Thankfully the food was warm."

"The service was horrible!! We had to wait more then an hour between each course, and not because the kitchen couldn't keep up with orders, but because they had no waiters available!! Hence, when food finally arrived to the table, it was barely warm!! Nobody would refill our water. We had to wait for dessert menu! Finally, I had complained to the hostess, and they had offered us free wine with dessert for the inconvenience. Apparently they had a large private party and all waiters were occupied there. Still, it's no excuse since our reservation was made several days in advance and accepted"

"I was honestly quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. While the Mongolian beef was tasty, there was not enough beef and too many rice noodles and onions used to bulk it up. The fried wontons were decent, but nothing special. I found the fried rice to be quite unusual, as it was just plain fried rice with no additional ingredients, which I had never seen before. The Pad Thai was particularly disappointing; the noodles were dry and mushy, and the sauce was excessively tangy—though it's possible that the late pickup contributed to this issue. For really good Pad Thai, I would recommend trying ONs on University instead. Overall, I had higher expectations given the restaurant's 4.5-star rating. Just to note, I had already removed some of the Mongolian beef and Pad Thai before forming this opinion."

"Excellent ! We loved the food and the drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler appetizer plate, Mantoo, A vegetarian plate, and Beef Kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were ample, but not huge, and had distinctive, well balanced flavors. We will be back!"

"The ambiance and atmosphere at this restaurant are fantastic - it is very well organized, clean, and beautifully decorated. It is definitely a fancier option for Asian dining with a nice vibe. The staff was kind and helpful, taking orders and explaining the menu. However, the restroom had a bit of a funky smell. Unfortunately, the food was not what I would consider authentic Chinese - it seemed more Americanized. The lunch special did not meet expectations. The Eggroll was greasy and falling apart, making it inedible. The food was lacking seasoning compared to typical Chinese restaurants. Overall, I was not impressed with the food."

"The saganaki appetizer was also a letdown; it came with one piece of cheese less than our previous visit (three pieces instead of four). It was clear they are enforcing portion control. Additionally, when we ordered the lavraki (fish), we specifically inquired if it was boneless, but when it arrived, we found bones in almost every bite. At least they did take that item off the bill, but it was still disappointing. The tuna was mediocre at best, and my husband’s pasta special with seafood, priced at $65, was shockingly not worth it. It tasted like something you'd expect from a dish in the mid-$30 range. To make matters worse, it took a long time for them to clear our plates after we finished our main courses. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience for the $300 bill (which didn’t even include alcohol). We won’t be returning anytime soon. Upon leaving, we mentioned our experience to the staff at the front desk, who apologized, but they didn’t take any further action to make things right."

"When its comes to take out Chinese food this place hits all the marks except for quantity!! Food is great but they cover main courses with so much onions etc its like your paying for a little portion of meat and getting onions to cover the rest. I 've ordered from here many times and they 're prices aren 't cheap but you 'd think since they 're charging a premium the food would reflect but it doesn 't again great Chinese food however the actual portions are disappointing to say the least! Literally 5 star place but quantity doesn 't reflect pricing. Managment should be better!"

"The restaurant music is AWFUL! What should be an amazing dining experience in a beautiful setting is marred by blasting music. Not only is it excessively loud, it’s just bad music! The management did turn it down slightly when we asked and the second time we asked they did try to adjust the speaker nearest to us in a different direction. But sadly this review should be about the amazing food, excellent wait staff, beautiful decor and attention to food allergies. Instead I had to waste time and space talking about ridiculous music creating noise pollution. If we wanted that type of scene we would have gone to South Beach."

"One of the worst Chinese food experiences we have had in CT. Ordered General Tso chicken for my college aged son who took a couple of bites and pushed it away saying “nope”. So I tried it and tasted like sugar and fried cornstarch with a way too sweet sauce. No vegetables came with it… just globs of this gooey stuff and hardly any chicken inside the globs. I mean, this is a basic and common American Chinese dish not known being super healthy but eating this is guaranteed to take days off your life. There are other Chinese establishments nearby that serve same dish and you can taste the chicken, less sugary and comes with broccoli. This was a one star experience."
