"This was our first visit to Michael Johns and we enjoyed our experience. Our server was friendly in a professional manner and our meal was very nice. The cold food was served cold and the warm food was served warm. Our fillets were cooked perfectly and the only thing that was a slight bit disappointing was the upgrade to the ravioli. It was slightly dry but did have good flavor. We will definately be back."

"the first few paintings I had eaten here was great eating and so was the service. the last time I was there, the blonde loud mouth waitress was absolutely rude and refused to serve me. then I wondered if I could go through. again she refused to serve me. Why? Because I'm going halfway and apparently I parked a place I didn't have him. they told me to park at the fence. I parked there. If she'd be nice to me and maybe tell me where I could park, I'd like to ask her. remember that this place is a truck stop. the largest truck stop in the opposite so frustrating. I went into where that was a bad sign and she just started screaming at me. the whole restaurant stared at me. she didn't even answer me."

"I’ve only had breakfast at this restaurant, so I can't speak to the lunch or dinner options, but my experiences have been consistently positive. The food is served quickly, and I always have the same two servers since I prefer sitting in a specific booth. They are always prompt and polite. The only improvement I would suggest is replacing the window blinds. They are old and damaged, with some missing, which can be quite blinding and bothersome for customers sitting at the windows when the sun is shining."

"The food here is undoubtedly amazing! Lots of flavor and obviously well mastered skills. Their drinks were also well made and tasted really good. On the downside, the service sucked. We were told that of we sit outside we can just take an open table and someone will be with us right away. They weren't. We waited 35 minutes without a waiter coming to us( thankfully a bus boy was around to bring us a menu and waters and when I went inside to ask why we haven't been served yet (it was busy and a weekend I get it but over half an hour just to see someone...? They just made excuses until a lady corrected them and said there is no excuse for that and someone will be right with us. When they finally came they had a bad attitude, got us the wrong appetizer and was just overall not friendly. Took 45 minutes just to have a waitress come over and say hello and grab our drinks. For an expensive restaurant, they should have better service because I could have taken my money elsewhere. Disappointed but not in the food."

"The service at this restaurant is excellent and efficient. The daily lunch specials are reasonably priced and the food is delicious. The only disappointment was the restroom, which was small and dirty with paper towels all over the floor. It was not accessible for handicapped individuals and needs to be updated as soon as possible. Despite this, the overall dining experience was great with fast and efficient service. "This place is always amazing ????. Stagg is very friendly and thorough and food is always good. They offer affordable menu items that are always freshly cooked. Many of their specialty items like their fruit cup, chili, cottage cheese, assortedbutters are always very fresh and you never have any issues with them being old or seeming as if they were prepared the daybefore. We ordered carry out today and the order was spot on. The waitress got everything right and gave us plenty of jelly,syrup, napkins etc. My husband and I have eaten in there as well and it's never been disappointing he loves their burger and itsalways cooked perfectly medium for him. I got the Rachel sandwich a twist on a rueben, I am usually not a big fan of rye bread,but the sandwich was awesome. They also have a dessert case when you walk in and they have some really tasty selections, we havegotten nutella stuffed cookies and canolis and all sorts of things, those also never disappointed us. They are only open from 6AM to 3 PM when they are open is the only thing that bums me out ! I wish they has longer hours since we work we only have theweekend to order out on Saturday. Overall a very good hole in the wall local place worth trying."

"To make things worse, the bar was fully stocked but had no tonic, so I couldn't get a gin and tonic. I also noticed that it was 7:00, and they didn’t have baked potatoes available. I ordered a bottle of Coors Light, but what I received was a glass that was only two-thirds full and warm. On the bright side, our waitress, Lyndsey, was excellent, though she had to apologize frequently whenever we asked for something. While I appreciate her service, overall, we likely won't return. There are other restaurants much closer that offer prime rib at a better price, a nicer atmosphere, and actually serve a hefty portion of meat rather than a greasy piece without even a roll. I was very disappointed."

"pirates bay has some of the best food I've eaten for a long time. what an amazing burger! fries were perfect! crab cake was more crab than cake, which is great! "love the atmosphere, our waitress was brilliant and the food was delicious. my nabeby and I have steak and vulture. He has haash-browns and I've been in the house. he asked for his steak rare it was medium rare. I asked about medium rare and it was a bit closer to well done. but still quite delicious! it was really packed, but our waitress had a lot of time for us. They had a colored book and a chronic for our three-year-old son, with whom we waited for our food. the bathroom was quite clean, but there was no change for our 7 month old."

"We ate here last Thursday. I had the pork shank, she the piccata. Both were great, as was the view. The best part, however, was meeting our server. I unfortunately forgot his name (happens a lot lately), but he had been evacuated from Cascade Locks with his wife and two dogs and a cat. He made the evening so special, taking time to pair the wine and recommend dishes. The view and food were over the top, and he was one of the best servers we've had, and that is saying something! We will return, without doubt. Bravo to dinner and dessert chefs, and to the entire staff, including the greeters up front"

"The restaurant feels like a strange mix of a former diner and a dollar store, or maybe even a flea market, with an odd assortment of items scattered throughout. You’ll find everything from canned tuna and aspirin to coffee mugs and antiques—and even canned sardines—all piled up on tables and shelves where they just don’t belong in a restaurant setting. It felt like a time capsule, but unfortunately, not a pleasant one. I've been trying to stop at different small-town truck stops and restaurants to check out the atmosphere and grab a bite, but this place was really peculiar. I ordered nachos, a crispy chicken wrap, and a Reuben, and all of them were definitely below average. Nothing special or homemade, and it seems they’re simply trying to keep things running on an extremely tight budget. To be honest, this place makes an Iron Skillet look like a luxury hotel. There’s plenty of parking available, and they charge $15 for a shower, which I’m going to skip. If I happen to drive along Highway 39 again, I’ll likely keep going unless I really, really need to stop."

"The service was amazing! I ordered a meal that came with a baked potato. The potato was so small even the waitress made a comment. When I said something she immediately went to the Cook put swing to her that that's all they had was small potatoes and they gave me a second potato. I certainly wasn't expecting that. I feel like that was above and beyond. My meal was great. I will definitely go back there next time I'm in this neck of the woods."

"A fantastic choice for food at any turn! Everything that was ordered was great quality (will go into that later) the hospitality was also top notch, our waitress was the kindest person! What we ordered: 1. Onion rings as a side, this is meant for only 1person. The batter was a light but sturdy bite and just the right crunch! Onions inside are fresh and tender, no onions pullingout when you eat these! 2. The Jumbo Cheese and Crab be warned this is PRETTY BIG. Definitely a 3 4 person endeavor or justget the rest in a takeout container! Pretzel itself had a delicate outer crunch with a luxuriously soft inside texture. Thedough was cooked all the way through. This is a severe upgrade from your standard jumbo pretzel. 3. Pot Roast Entrée Heavy,earthy, rich, and very homestyle. A big plate with big chunks of beef, carrots, potatoes, the works. A sweet, deceptively heavygravy sauce that coats everything, with equally satisfying fresh rolls to match. The meat was fully cooked but not dry. There'sa pleasant note from the carrots and potatoes that entice the appetite. The rolls aren't a slough either. Fresh, warm, delicatecrust with an impossibly lush center, cuts super easy with a butter knife. Delicious overall. 4. Chicken Pot Pie The dish wasan artistic piece. Beautiful presentation with the puff pastry on top. You can see the layers in the pastry, and it's perfectlybrowned on top. The taste was exquisite, you can really taste the butter in every layer! Underneath you find a steaming hot pileof hot chunky GOLD. The seemingly standard filling offering is elevated by the gravy sauce that has a cheese look without theheavy greasy taste and feeling. While I'm visiting from Philadelphia, I would make this place a destination to return to forthe food."

"The restaurant offers great views and the food is delicious. However, the service was a bit lacking considering the prices. It seems to be a common issue for hotel restaurants, as many of the servers were young and inexperienced. One standout server, Korey, provided exceptional service. On one occasion, we had a reservation for 9 pm but felt rushed as the kitchen was closing for the night at that time. This seemed surprising for a Saturday night in a resort town. Despite this, we continued to dine at the restaurant during our trip because of the good food, accommodation of dietary restrictions, and beautiful views. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant, noting that it may be subject to strict policies due to its location in a hotel."
