"I was expecting a bit too much maybe from reading some of the other reviews. I wasn't extremely impressed. The food was so-so and the service was lacking. Especially since there was only one other table occupied besides us. I was super excited about trying the meatloaf tower, which is a neat idea. Unfortunately, the meatloaf had lots of filler. So much so that it didn't taste like meat. Was not very good. I had ordered broccoli ? as my side, but it smelled odd. It had a sour smell to it, like it was bad. The waitress was nice enough to take it back and bring green beans. The green beans however tasted like soap. Almost as if they cooked them in a pan that wasn't washed rinsed properly. I didn't want to complain again, so I let it go. My husband ordered chicken croquettes (one of his favorites) and said they were ok. Of course, my son loved his chicken tenders and fries?. Hard to mess those up."

"The diner has a cozy atmosphere with counter seating that adds to its charm. The food is fantastic, and the staff is exceptional, making for a wonderful dining experience. The portions are generous, with the tender being larger than my head—both tender and delicious! All the homemade dishes are perfectly prepared. Everything on the menu looked so tempting that I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I was thrilled with my choice of the tuna melt! It featured a delicious tuna salad nestled between grilled bread, accompanied by American and Swiss cheese, served with chips and a side of creamy potato soup. The desserts also looked incredible, but I was so full from my half sandwich that I could hardly manage any!"

"I guess at some point there was a different hot rod diner in Payson because this was not what I was expecting-this location is attached to the bowling alley. The food was alright my kids ate it up and my sausage patties were really good. The waitress must have been new and messed up a few times not only on our order but also on how much we were charged. She also didn't provide a receipt so I didn't realize the error until after I paid. I don't particularly like breakfast places where you serve yourself with drinks and stuff-it seems super unsanitary but that's my fault for my not checking that information first. Also when we entered no one greeted us so I had to get someone's atrention and ask if we seat ourselves. I thought the owner Jeff was extremely nice, we chatted with him and he checked on us- our own waitress didn't lol. Anyways we won't be back here for food but we do quite enjoy the bowling alley and are looking forward to returning for that."

"We didn't spend much time at this restaurant. While in the area, we decided to stop by for a meal. I ordered the special, which came with two eggs, four strips of bacon, a waffle, and a coffee. Unfortunately, the eggs were dry, the bacon was old and cold, and it was overly crispy. On the bright side, the waffles and coffee were quite good. My wife chose a half French dip sandwich accompanied by a side of soup and salad. The vegetable beef soup didn't taste like beef at all; it was served piping hot but seemed like it came straight from a can. The French dip was just a sandwich, lacking enough dip to enhance its flavor. As for the salad, it consisted of only two small slices of cucumber and some pumpkin. We were seated promptly, but the server took a while to check on us. We ran out of coffee and water and didn't receive refills until the server brought our food and asked my wife if she wanted more. While the food was reasonably priced, the overall experience was just average."

"the food was good. only the food question was ordered to us a page of caramelized brussels sprouts, but they were not caramelized as described and not parmesan. kudos on our server, however, who hear our comments, apologise and have not charged us for them. my only other commentary is the ambiente. beautiful inside,- but background music didn't fit to the decor. Music belonged in a 50s. Not that the music was bad, it just didn't fit. a better fit would have been like frank sinatra or dean martin. overall we had a nice meal."

"My ladies golf group has been coming here for about 5 years. This past Wednesday was a bit disappointing. I had called and specifically asked for the separate windowed room for the 10 of us at 4pm. I was told it was fine but since they had another party scheduled for 6pm we would need to be finished quickly. No problem. We got there and were told the 6pm group pushed up their timeframe and we would be seated elsewhere. Why wasn’t that group told they could not push their timeframe up? Why were we automatically relegated elsewhere? It was a nice table next to a window, so ok. But I felt as if we were given the bum’s rush drink orders were taken with dinner orders. Hardly had time to sit and enjoy a drink when dinner came. Some of our water glasses were clearly dirty and some bread/butter plates had food stuck on them. No complaints about food and our server was very good. Overall I don’t classify this as an upscale restaurant .. disappointed this time . Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"Walk back into a slice of small town Americana by grabbing lunch at Eatonville’s Cruiser cafe. Friendly, helpful staff and proud displays of local school achievements add charm to this terrific diner. It was hoppin’ despite a three PM break for lunch, full of locals and visitors alike. Good quality beef cooked just right, with a perfect balance of lettuce and tomato help to make Cruisers terrific stop. The crinkly fries were cooked to perfection, try their house sauce."

"So, we were traveling through Rochester and got on Open Table. We found this place and picked it because of their early bird. The early bird was until 6:00 and had a great deal of problem just finding this place but still got there by 5:54. Well the place was nearly empty but by the time they got our table ready it was6:04 and we were too late to get the early bird. I mentioned our plight but to no avail. apparently it was a ‘computer problem’. Really. So we ordered off thee menu and had mediocre bar food."

"This charming family-run restaurant offers delicious homestyle, all-American comfort food at reasonable prices, along with friendly and attentive service. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch, and every dish was delightful. The chicken-fried steak and eggs were particularly impressive, perfectly cooked and presented. I also highly recommend the hot meatloaf sandwich served with potatoes smothered in rich brown country gravy. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a hearty family breakfast, lunch, or dinner."

"The only juice available was orange juice, which I opted for, as I had already had my fill of coffee that morning and didn’t try theirs. The poached eggs were decent, though slightly overcooked. The sausage was surprisingly tasty, and the whole wheat toast was excellent—thick, grainy bread with just the right amount of butter. The fruit was adequate, nothing too special. The server was friendly and efficient, making my experience pleasant. Overall, it’s a decent spot for breakfast, but I’m not sure I would return. I would rate it around 3.5 stars, but it doesn’t quite reach 4 stars for me."

"The restaurant is exceptionally clean, and both the food and service are outstanding. The kitchen team is excellent and takes great pride in upholding high standards of quality. The owner is present on-site, not just supervising but also working alongside the staff. I highly recommend this establishment."

"Read other 1 star reviews. The husband and wife owners are 2 of the most miserable human beings you’ll ever meet. DON’T GO HERE and absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I’m not alone saying this if you read other reviews. Go to one of the other 500 restaurants in the area and definitely skip this place. I hope they go out of business and someone else buys it. On top of it they use their parking lot for Gillette events and made the mistake of parking here for the Bruce Springsteen concert. The owner is the head person directing cars where to park and he literally screams at drivers for nothing because he’s so miserable. Everyone got out of their cars commenting on how rude he is and will never park there again. Please boycott this place and teach the owner a lesson to not treat customers so poorly. "I visited Killarney House tonight with my daughter, craving Bangers and Mash. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a live band playing in the bar, and I managed to chime in with a little bit of "Tennessee Whiskey" just as we settled in. Since there were no available seats, we opted for the main dining area. I ordered the Chesapeake Bangers and Mash, which featured bangers seasoned with Old Bay, a wonderfully flavorful ale onion gravy, and champ potatoes (mashed potatoes). My daughter chose the Shrimp Scampi, which consisted of succulent shrimp in a creamy lemon scampi butter, enhanced with crushed red pepper and parsley, served over pappardelle pasta. Being the festive season, I couldn't resist ordering a glass of eggnog, which was delightful—like a spiked dessert in a glass. Our server, Stephanie, was fantastic. Despite managing several tables, she provided each one with her full attention, which I truly admired. I highly recommend Killarney House and will certainly return for another visit."
