"We stop in from time to time. The food is decent, about four stars decent. The service is iffy. We have had good service in the past. What we got last night was one star service, at best. So, we both had ribs and various sides and it was all good. The server was friendly enough, just not very attention-oriented. My wife was out of her beverage halfway through the meal and was not offered another or a refill. The server asked, probably, three times if we wanted take home boxes. The first was just minutes into our meal. Even though we told her no, she kept coming back to ask again. Not necessarily bad customer service, more weird and amusing, but an example of how she didn't seem to have her mind on the job.She brought the bill before we were finished and said, No rush and walked off. She didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert or, again, refills. She passed by roughly five times without stopping, saying, I'll pick that up in a minute while pointing at the bill. We were still eating the first time she did this and, no, we hadn't put a card or money into it yet. The second or third time we tried to ask for a menu as we wanted dessert, but she was in too great a rush to stop and listen. So, I pulled up the dessert menu on my phone and we found something. The server stopped and grabbed the bill and I said, We haven't paid yet. We have been waiting to order dessert and told her we both wanted the Caramel Apple Granny. This was the only part of the meal I didn't enjoy much. It tasted all right, but it comes frozen so solid it's difficult to eat. I thought I saw her put them into a microwave, but they came to us frozen. Maybe she didn't actually turn the microwave on?I don't generally mention other customers when I review a restaurant, but I will this time. A table behind me had the same server and one of the ladies at the table had to get up and go to the kitchen to flag her down, as she wasn't paying much attention to them, either. The table next to us was out of drinks and they had to get her attention to ask for refills. At another table, from what I could hear, a woman did not get the burnt ends she ordered and everyone was already eating their food by the time the server told her they were out of burnt ends. Maybe tell her that when she's ordering?"

"I love their Loaded Bar B Q Baker. I order them with cheese, bbq, bbq sauce, sour cream, butter and chives. I like extra chives and sour cream so I always add more remove the bacon. This time I got a decent portion of chives and sour cream. The problem is. Why didn't they still put the sour cream and chives in the already ordered Loaded Bar B Q Bakerwith no bacon, extra sour cream and chives. It isn't extra if you have to replenish the already expected ingredient? So, the potatoes have no sour cream or chives but gave me sides of them as I asked. It's like oh you want extra well it saves us money to just instead of putting it on there as ordered, we'll just put them in the little side containers which appear to be more. It isn't extra if none were on in the first place...... idk. Maybe I should shoot this question on next door or Facebook. I'm definitely not the only one. Stop trying to pinch Pennie's and retain your loyal clientele. I'm always ok to pay for extras if you need. I just want good food from a trusty source and I eat it twice a week and we are ALWAYS 50/50. I don't like to gamble. I could and should just but my own chives and sour cream if they want to play this game. I brag best in town I believe it's the best in town but if this is how the treat an order online...... I'm going to have to start passing. See pics below see any sour cream on the potatoes? Chives?? No bc they put them in the side containers..... idk"

"Let’s start with the muffins. They serve a basket of mini cheese muffins that are absolutely irresistible. Warm and perfectly portioned, these little treats are delightful and addictive. For me, the benchmark of BBQ is either chopped pork or brisket. While brisket is often pricier and can be more of a commitment, I generally opt for chopped BBQ on my first visit, and if it passes the test, I’ll try the brisket the next time. Jim 'N' Nicks held true to this routine. I enjoyed both options, but I did notice that the brisket, while tender and juicy, tasted like it came from a commercial kitchen. This isn’t surprising, and it was still quite good, but I missed the smoky flavor and the smoke ring I typically associate with BBQ. Nonetheless, it was still a solid brisket. The mac and cheese is a must-try. It’s incredibly creamy and flavorful, making it tempting to order two servings as your sides. On my most recent visit, I decided to try the wings. They offer a honey habanero sauce, which I was unsure about since I’m not a fan of overly sweet food, but I do enjoy a bit of heat. After chatting with our waiter, I was given the option to switch to straight habanero, which felt risky, but I was game. These might just be my new favorite wings. They are smoked and then flash-fried to give them a deliciously crispy texture. To my surprise, I didn’t detect much, if any, smoky flavor, which was my main concern. The habanero sauce was milder than expected, with just a slight zing at the end but nothing overwhelming. Overall, both the staff and the food were exceptional, and I highly recommend Jim 'N' Nicks!"
