"We had wanted to find a new local place for Sunday dinner, so we tried 121 during Hudson Valley restaurant week. Service was spotty at best. We spent a lot of time waiting. Steak ordered medium- well came more med-rare and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Someone brought us dessert and never asked if we wanted coffee or after-dinner drinks, so we ate without coffee. The restaurant was not crowded, so I can't understand why the staff was not more attentive. We had to take our check to the front desk to pay after waiting too long again...we stood at the front desk watching the hostess chatting with another staff member by the bar. She never noticed us there waiting. All in all, not a good experience. We are very disappointed with the service, but the food was AMAZING."

"Fresh and flavorful! A few of our selections were either not on the menu or modifications of the standard menu. We’ve eaten here many times… and this is never a problem. We are generally always pleased with the food and the presentation, and if there is ever a problem, though rare, it is rectified immediately. Don’t let this be the place you go just when you’re looking for out of the ordinary fare… it is simply a great example of fine dining. Period. "

"Title: "A Thai Gastronomic Journey to Remember at Silom 12 "From the moment I stepped into Silom 12, nestled in the heart of Bucktown, Chicago, I knew I was in for an exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant 's ambiance beckoned me with its warm and welcoming allure, and the food, oh the food, exceeded every expectation. Our culinary adventure began with an absolutely divine Crab Rangoon. The first thing to note was its presentation I had never seen a Crab Rangoon wrapped quite like this. Folded delicately like a bow tie, it was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate. The balance between the crisp fried exterior and the luscious mix of crab meat and cream cheese within was spot on. The added crunch of celery and the tangy punch of sweet chili sauce elevated it to a level of perfection I hadn 't experienced before. This unique spin on Crab Rangoon was hands down the best I 've ever had.Next up was the Steamed Mussels, steamed to perfection in a spicy basil lemongrass broth. The mussels were plump and tender, their subtle briny flavor intermingling wonderfully with the fragrant, spicy broth. The depth and complexity of flavors were simply mind blowing. The culinary journey continued with the Tom Ka soup with chicken. Its creamy richness, punctuated by the tartness of lime and the heat from chili, was both comforting and invigorating. The chicken was tender and beautifully infused with the flavors of the soup. It was, without a doubt, a bowl of soul satisfying goodness. The grand finale was the Pineapple Fried Rice with Tofu. Our server recommended this combination, and he couldn 't have been more correct. The rice was perfectly cooked, each grain distinct and carrying the flavors of the various ingredients. The sweetness of the pineapple offered a beautiful contrast to the savory fried rice, while also lending a refreshing crunch. The tofu was a stellar addition, its delicate flavor and texture forming a lovely counterpoint to the overall richness of the dish. I never knew fried rice could taste this good.In conclusion, my dining experience at Silom 12 was nothing short of phenomenal. From the quality of the ingredients to the mastery of flavors, it was clear that every dish was crafted with care and love. If you 're in Chicago and craving for authentic Thai cuisine, Silom 12 is a must visit destination. Five stars all the way"

"Finally, authentic Chinese cuisine in Denver! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I relocated to the Boulder area from Boston two and a half years ago and have sampled numerous Chinese restaurants, but this is the first one that offers both authenticity and a wide variety of menu options. Just a heads up, there are two menus: one for American-style dishes and another for authentic Chinese cuisine. We ordered the beef in hot chili oil and cellophane noodles with pork from the "Chinese" menu, and it was outstanding! If you want genuine flavors, stick to the "Chinese menu." Given the quality of what we tried, I'm sure their Americanized dishes are also impressive. Just so you know, there are more options available at the restaurant than what you see on the website. I just wish we didn’t live 45 minutes away! But it’s definitely worth the trip."

"This is a neat little restaurant right near Quincy Market. We shared the bang bang cauliflower, which I found tasty but a bit too spicy for my liking. I did the avant gard’n ad my main dish and it was very yummy. It was also a bit spicy. The “egg” I ended up chopping up and mixing into the full bowl, so I didn’t think anything wrong with it. Good place to go if you’re with non-veg as well. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-24"

"I really wanted to love everything about this establishment but a few of my dishes were super salted rendering them nearly inedible. The flavors of the others were delightful. The bathrooms could use a little more attention.Service was acceptable.I love mom and pop shops and would like to see Yak step up their game. Yes, our dining out culture expects more and its a tough industry but little things could go a long way."

"Ordered duck fried rice, Bom choy dinner and chocolate cake for delivery. Delivery time wasn’t too bad, but delivery guy was rushing to leave he didn’t take the cash tip I had for him.The food was really good. Unfortunately there was a REALLLLLLLY long hair in the rice. I mean like horse mane long. Maybe this is one of those dine in only places. I’ve lost my appetite now. How unfortunate."

"If anyone remembers the old Del Rose, you should definitely check out this place to see how spacious it is! The ambiance downstairs has a lounge vibe with mood lighting, while we made our way upstairs to a much brighter area and settled into a booth. The service was a bit lacking; the waiter seemed to be taking his time—like he might have been in a daze from a previous life. It took forever for him to greet us, bring us water, and take our order. He also presented the bill without ever mentioning dessert. At first, I thought they didn't offer any, but then I noticed the waitress offering dessert to the table next to us. Despite the service hiccups, the food more than made up for it. The menu was interesting, featuring some unique sushi rolls. We tried the tuna pizza, spicy rock shrimp, and several rolls, and everything was fantastic. It's definitely a place worth trying, and I'll be returning for sure!"

"When you see someone truly committed to making your experience enjoyable, it really stands out. I will genuinely miss having my dinners here—especially thanks to Victoria, the bartender. She always remembered my preferences, made great suggestions for both food and drinks, and was a pleasure to talk to. Her attention to detail made every visit feel special. If you go, definitely try the Espresso Martini (amazing! and the Rose’s Bath—though the latter is a bit small for the price, it’s still a nice option. The food overall is very good. I loved the pasta, the burger is a bit basic but comes with plenty of delicious fries, and the New York steak—while a bit overpriced—was absolutely worth it for the flavor. The restaurant itself is elegant and beautifully designed. I would highly recommend it for a fancy dinner out, or if you're staying at the hotel and have dining credits, it's 100% worth using them here. "I entered the restaurant to pick up my order and immediately slipped as soon as I walked in due to the rain and wet floor. The two teenage girls at the front desk just laughed at my fall. They seemed too timid to call the manager, who eventually came out and asked, "I’m sorry, are you okay?" I replied that I wasn't, but instead of offering any assistance, he turned around and went back into the kitchen. On my way out, I slipped again and had to hop to my car. They did nothing to help me; they didn't even check on my order. Their behavior was rude and inconsiderate toward customers. I will never return."

"Food is tasty, even if expesive. Kind request: Please STAPLE CLOSE delivery bags so it is secure. When bag is left open and some dish is half full, we dont know if that the serving size, or tampering during delivery especially during these days when people are extra cautions for hygeine. Threw away a kheer as it was barely half full."

"Beware of the time you go… I accidentally came when the middle or high school was out early, and there was at least two dozen orders ahead of mine and it took FOREVER. And then, since there were so many kids in there at one time, I didn’t hear my drink called when it was ready, so it sat on the counter for a while before I noticed it. By the time that I got it, it was melted. The fact that they are walking distance from the schools definitely is a negative in my book. Plus, it was much more expensive than other bubble tea places in the area."

"What a hidden gem on the Upper East Side! We were welcomed by Binod who was very friendly and personable. He was very patient in explaining all the different dishes unfamiliar to us. We started with Malai Kabab--tender succulent chicken, cooked to perfection. This appetizer was a very generous portion as were the Tandoori mixed vegetables. These were tender and flavorful while maintaining the crisp freshness of each individual vegetable. Then we had Aloo Gobi, a potato/cauliflower mix in a tasty … – show"

"I've visited Mali numerous times, but I have never encountered such disappointing service. When our sushi arrived, there were no chopsticks or soy sauce provided. When the entrees finally came out, one of them was completely incorrect, and it felt like we were expected to just accept it. There were no apologies for the mix-up, and it took quite a while for the correct dish to be delivered. Unfortunately, the entree was not enjoyable when it finally arrived. Throughout the meal, we were never asked how everything was, nor were we offered another drink or any kind of compensation. It was only when the bill came that we received an apology. It will be a long time before we consider returning, if we decide to at all."

"This ain 't it here. Nicole 's food is not horrible, but it 's not great either. I 've come a few times just because it 's walking distance. But here 's the deal: the roti is dry AF. No flaky bits whatsoever. I can 't even order a side of roti by itself--you have to order the whole entree. When I want a roti skin to pair with curry chicken I have already at home, this place fails to offer what I want. Y 'all leaving money on the table here. Where 's the business sense, Nicole? Something is missing: maybe it 's a lack of passion? No one smiles or says thanks when you go pickup. Not uncommon with trini restaurants--quiet disdain and boredom is the usual expression for anyone running a store like this. But a little warmth goes a long way for an overall friendly neighborhood. The only alternatives I 'm aware of is Harry 's Daughter and Taste of the Caribbean. Both do roti justice but none are in walking distance unfortunately. I shouldn 't be a semi-regular of Nicole 's in spite of meh roti and because of convenience. And looking at this Yelp page, it seems like no one even responds to criticism--it 's just whatever, take it or leave it. I hope y 'all are reading this and take it to heart. I want good things for your business, but you gotta try."

"The food, beverages and service were excellent, and our table in the back looked into the garden...too bad it was a little chilly to dine outside. The only drawback was the noise level as there does not appear to be any soft surfaces to reduce the noise. We were seated next to a table of 6 or 7 and they were having lively conversation with lots of laughs. Nice folks but we were not unhappy when they finished. Reina was a good value and we'll go again when we come back to Frederic."
