"What a hidden gem on the Upper East Side! We were welcomed by Binod who was very friendly and personable. He was very patient in explaining all the different dishes unfamiliar to us. We started with Malai Kabab--tender succulent chicken, cooked to perfection. This appetizer was a very generous portion as were the Tandoori mixed vegetables. These were tender and flavorful while maintaining the crisp freshness of each individual vegetable. Then we had Aloo Gobi, a potato/cauliflower mix in a tasty … – show"

Underwhelming Indian food — even by NYC standards — but lovely ambience and staff.

Butter chicken and garlic naan were both very good. Ordered delivery and it was quick and tasty

The lunch special was delicious. Good portions and very well seasoned. Service was excellent too! View menu

This was the first place I've ordered on the UES that actually managed to get to real spiciness. Everywhere else just ignored my extra spicy request. Bravo!

Service 8/10, price 7.5/10, food 8.5/10. Problem was portion size. Chicken vindaloo and goat curry maybe 5 chunks of meat in each. These are 19$ dinners everything Ala carte. Also no condiments.

Good and friendly service. The portions are somewhat skimpy. You fill up with the rice and bread. The sauces were very good making up for the dry meats. Overall, not bad but I would not rush back. View menu

Brutal honestly, really bad indian food. Look elsewhere, do not waste your money. Got chicken tikka masala (spicy, was wayy too spicy even for someone who needs spice in everything), palak paneer (mild, lacked all flavor), aloo gobi (mild, lacked flavor) Overpriced, very bland, some of the worst indian food in all of nyc

This is one of the best overall Indian in UES when one considers ambience, food and service for a reasonable price. I tried one of their specials Chicken Angara and was pleasantly surprised by both the flavors and texture. The servers were very polite and service was fast. After the closing of Ashoka, this one is my go to.
