"This is a neat little restaurant right near Quincy Market. We shared the bang bang cauliflower, which I found tasty but a bit too spicy for my liking. I did the avant gard’n ad my main dish and it was very yummy. It was also a bit spicy. The “egg” I ended up chopping up and mixing into the full bowl, so I didn’t think anything wrong with it. Good place to go if you’re with non-veg as well. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-24"

I wish there were more vegan options but the ramen was delicious and spicy.

A few dedicated vegan options to choose from. I got the Kare Burosu which is a delicious udon in a spiced broth. It was a huge bowl, really filling. Also, they had good cocktails!

many options and they are delicious. cheap in the city. portion size is exactly right (not too big, but can be divided) but they forgot the dress on my duck salad, so it was bland. that indicates that they are hastened. View menu

Sooo good! I wish they had more vegan options as there were tons of non-vegan options, but the food was very hearty and satisfying. I would recommend the #23 Udon noodles and tofu soup. Prices not too bad for Boston area

This place really hit the spot on our vacation! I loved the avant gard'n. One thing to note is that the egg does not taste like an egg, it's very sweet (I still really appreciate the effort My boyfriend got ramen and he loved it! Definitely a place to hit up!

has several vegan options. I tried the vegan katsu curry. the curry was delicious, and the roasted potato catsu was also beautiful. we had to wait a long time until we were sitting and ordering for a longer time, but eating was good enough that I am glad we were not giving up. View menu

I ordered the avant Gard’n and it is a crazy delicious dish barbecue sincean dish and a fake egg made with cocosnuss, surprisingly good! they are very courting, yakisoba and other dishes vegan to make if we want. good choice of drinks, juices and tees. the service is painfully slow.

I have been looking forward to trying the Avant Gard'n for a while. The bowl was OK. The Seitan was good, but way too spicy. The egg: coconut fat hot sauce. The whole bowl would be great if it were somewhat milder. My husband had the vegan curried soup with Udon it was spicy and bland at the same time.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
