I hope they will taste decent tonite We ordered a Sicilian square pizza it was overcooked and dry I felt like I was eating a dirty sponge it was so dry and overcooked. I called and asked for the owner. his answer was We should have ordered more sauce ?are you freaking kidding me!!! If it was made correctly the first time. He wouldn't received our phone call. with so many business wanting orders you think he would appreciated our order !! Trust me pizzas stores are a dime a dozen!! I like to support my local business but with an attitude like his I will spend my money elsewhere not worth the aggravation!!! I will no longer buy from Crespos again they lost us as customers!!!"

"this pizza place is not bad. eating here is good. they serve something more than just pizza and pizza products. For example, you can order a cheeseburger deluxe at this place, which is by the way very good when you consider that this is a pizza place. they have excellent specialties that are written both inside the wall and the window of the restaurant. I often come here when I'm in the opposite and want to eat pizza or a quick lunch. they're not bad. I recommend it."

"we were at least five times in the last two months, the eating and service were always great, last night I have ordered hug parmesan with a side of pasta, the server brought me aubergine with a side of pasta, after I made them that they took it back, but not the pasta that indicates it was just a few minutes, 22 minutes later it was coming but the pasta was now asked for the time. this is not the Nick’s that we are used to, there were no signs of management anywhere, who waited to chat with workers in the corner and did not check on their tables and not try to offer an excuse for the fusion."

"Jose and his team were INCREDIBLE from start to finish. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. We did a tasting at La Slice and knew IMMEDIATELY we didn`t need to look any further. We tried eggplant rollatini, penne alla vodka, chicken francese honestly one of the best I`ve ever had), bruschetta mouthwatering), and more. Then came the wedding day. We had our own catering staff and they provided the food. WELL...... Jose and his team noticed that the staff were not preforming as they should and took the reins. We did a buffet style and he instructed them with the timing to put everything out. He stayed well past the time he allotted to just bring the food. Jose takes pride in the joy his food brings to people and we feel so fortunate for the HUGE roll he played on our incredible wedding day. Lastly, the food for the wedding was out of this world. Every person raved about it for weeks and months after the wedding. The wide selection from pork slides , spinach and artichoke dip, pastas of so many kinds. The careful detail to include all dietary restrictions vegan, vegetarian, carnivores lol) without compromising taste and selections will be his legacy. Time and time again we will recommend Jose and his team and cannot thank them enough for the effort they put in to making every single dish full of flavor and love."

"EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE! I stopped by to pick up lunch, and the place was bustling, which is a great indication. The kitchen staff were hard at work but still very welcoming. I was particularly impressed by Brian, who was multitasking by answering phones, processing payments, and cooking in the oven all on his own. He certainly deserves a raise! "I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant and have always been pleased with the food and service—until today. After work, I walked in to pick up a to-go order and had an experience that I would rate as -1 for customer service. The person who appeared to be a manager or owner went out of his way to make me feel unwelcome. He harshly reprimanded an employee for giving me the wrong change, and he did so in a rude manner, as if it were my fault. Additionally, I noticed his annoyance when I requested some sauce and asked for my order to be placed in a bag—something that has never been an issue before. While I understand that the manager might have been having a bad day, that should not affect customers. As a side note, if you have a new employee, it is your responsibility to train them properly instead of reprimanding them in front of customers or taking your frustrations out on them when they make a mistake. The same goes for how you treat customers. Needless to say, I will be seeking dining options elsewhere."

"Some places don’t need reviews so here goes nothing We were so excited to finally try it here $50 later, we came home to a misshaped pie, which looks like they took two halves of slices they had readily available. Very disappointing. The saving grace was that it tastes delicious, I just wish it was fresh. After a 20 minute car ride, there’s no reason it should have been dead. Beyond that, good pie once it was heated up. Unfortunate that it looks like some corners were cut. Margherita pie was very good."

"Tonight was our first night at this restaurant. We noticed the wine and Dine Special for Friday night, which included two entrees and a bottle of wine for $60. We live in Wetau, but decided to try something different. It was definitely worth the drive. Our waitress, Peggy, was very friendly. They brought a beautiful bread basket to the table before our meal, with three different types of bread. I ordered the eggplant spinach pasta with penne and my husband ordered the chicken rollatini marinara with penne, which also had spinach. Both dishes were large and absolutely delicious. We ended up taking half of them home. We also enjoyed a bottle of pinot grigio, which was a generous size and tasty. We will definitely be returning. They also have pasta specials on Monday nights and chicken specials on Tuesday nights, which can be found on their website at very affordable prices. The dining room was clean, quiet, and all COVID protocols were followed. The front entrance of the restaurant features a pizza counter with a variety of pizzas available for takeout or delivery."

"we had a very early reservation due to time restrictions. when we arrived, we were the only table in the restaurant that worked wonderfully. we could personally talk to vito and otherrew how funny! he didn't ventilate, his meatball remover was amazing. then we moved on to his special kakao infused pasta with bolognese, so different and tasty! all four of us have agreed that it was fantastic. the bartender worked with us and the drinks were great. brotpudding was more like a muffin and good. not the best, but good. could have used a bourbon sauce. but all in all, it was a great culinary experience and I just wish we lived closer so we could go more often. Hartford is a business town and with fewer people working and traveling in the city, we need to local places like this from under...it is worth the ride!"

"I'm not convinced by these reviews. If this is the best pizza New York City has to offer, it's quite a letdown. After trying pizza at various well-known places in several major cities, I would rank them as follows: 1st Place: Boston, 2nd Place: Chicago, 3rd Place: NYC, 4th Place: Los Angeles, and 5th Place: Miami. As for Il Mattone, it's just a counter-service pizza spot, and not much more than that. The pizza appeared to have been sitting out in the counter window for quite a while. While they do reheat it in their ovens, which is a plus, I can't say it was the most flavorful or the best pizza I've had. It's decent, but not something I'd be excited to recommend."

"Went in to order a few slices and the staff seemed like they didn’t want to help me.. finally, when I finally tell them what I want, they ignore me and keep working.. i wait for my order, then the guy with the hat comes out and asked me what I ordered. "I recently moved to the area and was recommended Vinnie's by a neighbor. We have gone there twice and just got a catering order for my Birthday. First, I want to say that the food quality is excellent, you can tell that everything is fresh, not frozen. The ingredients are well picked and nothing sits around. Of all the meals we've had so far the bar has been pretty high. My catering order was 3 half trays, chicken parm, rigatoni Sunday sauce and butternut squash ravioli. Everything was really great. My order was put in the day before and they delivered it to my house on time. The delivery person was super nice and even brought it in for us. I can't recommend this place enough. Worth the visit, I'd say this is a hidden gem on Long Island!"
