"I decided to try Donato’s because my friend raved about the pizza. Although the pizza is good, the customer service was terrible. The service was slow, and the lady behind the counter made 20 pizzas before mine although I had ordered before everyone in line. Supposedly they messed up my order (which I understand happens), but they were not even sympathetic and told me to deal with it. I eventually got my food as the place cleared out. They continuously said my name wrong after correcting them. My friend got a Sierra Mist and it was flat. When asked if she could have another drink, their response was “it’s the bottle’s fault, I can’t do anything about it.” There was also a guy screaming about sauces and talking badly about customers. They were eating food in front of us while they were “so busy” that they couldn’t make my food. I have worked in the pizza restaurant industry for many years, and this was the absolute worst customer service I have experienced. I am a paying customer and would not give my money to this establishment again."

"Recently, we found ourselves on another business trip, this time in Erie, PA, where we stayed at the Bayfront Marriott. Instead of dining at one of the many popular restaurants near the hotel, we decided to order takeout from Donatos. Although I could have placed my order online, I opted to call to ensure I got exactly the pizza we loved. There were several Donatos locations in Erie, and the closest one was just two miles away. When I called, a very cheerful gentleman answered. I shared my excitement about discovering Donato's in Erie, as it had been nearly two years since I last enjoyed the Hot Chicken Pizza. He was incredibly helpful and reassured me that there had been no changes to the pizza recipe. His friendliness was evident as he promised to ensure my order was extra perfect! That level of customer service truly deserves five stars! When my husband returned to the hotel with the pizza, it was just as delicious and perfectly made as we remembered from two years ago! We live about an hour and a half south of Erie, and we're more than willing to make the trip again soon to enjoy Donato's incredible offerings. While we absolutely love the Hot Chicken Pickle Pizza, we're also tempted to try some of their other pizzas. Yum!"

"I was staying in a hotel on July 5th. Ordered delivery. I got the booklet from the front desk and called after I told the gentleman delivery he apologized and said I’m down some guys and it will be a longer wait (About an hour) and with no plans for the evening we said that’s fine. Strictly for convenience. While waiting it had only been 25 minutes and the gentleman was on the phone. I rushed down and met him in the lobby. Unbelievably professional and nice. I wish I had got his name. To mention. We appreciate your truth upfront and being so professional. Also the large thin crust pepperoni pizza and half dozen breadsticks were fantastic. You could tell it was fresh and not prepared twenty minutes ago. My girlfriend and I strongly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!"

"several manager and employees who were previously employed in the donatos lewis center location years 2001/2002, take on ohio revised code 2933.52, 2907.08 sextortion, password and credit card number theft can still be used in the central ohio food service. the manager who drove green jeep and red mazda showed up in the houses of the former Donatos staff on their rasen and selected fights as well. later it would be excessive to commit technology crime. manager heather lindquist and with worker carrying kail would make sexual contact with male manager on business time and spatialities. coworker chris adcock who has patched his vater also does technology crime about spucking on pizza from the family he had ordered olentangy high school groll with. if it were not for the rotten attitude of central ohio prosecution authorities, this would probably have been heard by traditional intelligence sources."

"I visited this pizzeria on a Monday night when most other pizza spots in the area were closed. The pizza was quite good—definitely better than typical fast food options, but it didn't quite compare to classic New York pizza. For starters, it wasn't cut into triangles, which made it impossible to fold. Instead, the slices were served in small squares and rectangles. The flavor was enjoyable, featuring a very thin crust with a nice balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. However, I wasn't fond of the grainy substance at the bottom, which I assume was semolina. The Italian salad was also quite tasty, but I might have been extra hungry at that moment. There’s ample parking available, and the indoor seating has a straightforward cafeteria feel. One pleasant surprise was the selection of several draft beers. The server, who was managing everything on her own, was wonderful and very friendly. Overall, it was a decent experience!"

"I arrived just five minutes before the estimated completion time and drove home for about five minutes. As soon as I opened the food, I found it was cold, the cheese was hard as a rock, and it was floating in a pool of pizza sauce. The bun was also cold and soggy. I decided to give them one last chance due to the convenient location, but this was now the fifth time on different occasions that the food was inedible. I’m done with Donatos for good!"

"For my first visit, I arrived well after the time my order was supposed to be ready, only to be told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. I was fine with waiting, but this was just the beginning of my troubles. On my second order, I placed it online and somehow they completely messed it up. I had ordered a hot chicken pizza with extra sauce and pickles, but when I got home, I discovered that half the pizza had chicken and the other half had pickles. I honestly don't understand how they could get it so wrong. For my third order, I again chose to order online without making any changes, opting for a simple hot chicken pizza. I pulled up to the drive-thru five minutes after the promised time and ended up waiting over 10 minutes at the window with no one attending to me. Unfortunately, I couldn't back out because there was a car behind me. When someone finally came to the window and I mentioned that I had been waiting for so long, I was met with nothing but attitude. They complained about being busy in the lobby with other customers. However, I received no attention at the drive-thru; I simply sat there at an empty window. If they were indeed busy, someone could have at least come over to say that it would be just a few more minutes. Regardless of how busy they were, the main issue was the attitude I received when I expressed my frustration. A simple apology acknowledging the delay would have sufficed, but instead, I was met with extreme attitude."

"I ordered lunch the other day, specifically a whole medium pizza so I could enjoy the leftovers throughout the week. At home, my husband tends to finish off my leftovers before I even get a chance to eat them. Does he care? Not at all, lol. I decided to wait until 1 PM to avoid the lunch rush and then headed out to pick up my order and stretch my legs a bit. The staff inside were incredibly friendly and helpful. I also added a side salad to my order. Once I got back to my office, the thrill of being able to dig into an entire pizza all by myself was delightful. Even though I only managed to eat four small slices, I didn’t have to share a single bite, and sometimes that's exactly what you need."

"Best pizza I have had in a long time if not ever. Toppings are incredibly fresh, pizza not overcooked so toppings stayed fresh, sauce flavorful without being overpowering, and crust was Goldilocks just right. I got the vegetable pizza with sausage and pepperoni added and could not have been happier. My local Stow contact had the Calzone and loved it, and said his departed 90 year old mother said this was the best Pizza in the county. Visiting from out of town wish I had a Donotas where I live."

"I review tons of pizza joints and Donato's can make a very good pie. I had the Founders Favorite and it was really good. Banana peppers provided the perfect amount of kick. The pepperoni was great, but the sausage was just ok. Sauce crust were good, no complaints there at all. I ordered right after an annoying lady complained, but the very friendly lady working the counter bounced right back after dealing with the obnoxious customer and was just really nice. The order was ready nice and quick, which was great after travelling all day. I also got the cinnamon bread, which was delightfully sweet. Definitely not good for my waistline, but it was yummy and I recommend it! Keep up the good work Donato's, I'll be back next time I'm in town!"

"I followed the recommendation to contact customer service and filled out my contact information, but it has been almost three weeks and I have not heard back. I typically enjoy dining at this restaurant when I visit Columbus every three months, but my recent experience was disappointing. The Italian subs I ordered were filled with excessive lettuce, minimal meat, and lacked flavor. The pizza I previously enjoyed was bland, burnt, and lacking in cheese. This subpar experience has deterred me from returning to this franchise in the future. Although I do not usually write reviews, this experience was so poor that I felt compelled to share my feedback."

"The restaurant was surprisingly empty, which may not be indicative of its quality, but I believe a good restaurant should have customers. We ordered a medium pizza, two entrée salads, and two 22oz drinks, which came to about $35—not too bad for dining in. I really enjoyed the pizza, and the salads were decent as well. They were your typical salads, though, with at least a third of each bowl filled with inedible core pieces of lettuce (the tough parts). Overall, considering the price and the pizza, I would definitely order the pizza again. I might pass on the salads next time, but it's common for many places to include those inedible bits, so it’s not a big surprise. On the plus side, you do get to choose your own salad dressing, which is a nice touch!"

"Between 15 minutes at the front counter without anyone walking up to ask if I was picking up to another 10 minutes at the drive through window before anyone coming to the window to pull the order, I finally received my half warm pizzas 35 minutes after their pickup time. Judging by the reactions of several other people doing pickups and getting a passive ok response when commenting about the neglected wait, this was either the c-squad or an I don 't care attitude. I regret leaving a tip when putting in the order, it was not deserved and I 'll have pause on including tips in the future."

"WORST experience I have EVER had with any delivery. Ordered Donatoes PizzaWas told they were a little busy and that's fine. Something about an hour delivery. Well...3 hours later we get our food. We tried calling door dash and kept getting hung up on. Then tried Donatoes and got no answer.We were told door dash came three times before the time the food was supposed to be done and when It wasn't left. After many phone calls and after being hung up on many times over 2.5 hours later we get our food...good right? No. They forgot half our order so we had to get a neighbor to take us up there to get the rest our food. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had...and that's not Donatoes that's door dash...the way they put it. I want some kind of gift card or reimbursement. If I don't and many in the neighborhood will simply go to Bella's or somewhere else. This was 50 plus dollars that was spent so I think we deserve something from this horrible experience. I gave a tip to the driver because I highly doubt it was their fault and as a former driver myself I had to but I will not go through this again without a reassurance it won't. I want a refund or a gift card and I don't even care if it is at least 30 dollars or something. If we don't get this i will make sure that we don't order anywhere that door dash deals with.On the flip side. I want to give a review Donatos and that's a 4. The staff is nice and before door dash entered we never have a problem. I have 4 kids and 4 adults here and we were starving. Please make this right.
