"hands down some of THE best Mexican food i've ever had! i ordered the Enchiladas de Mole dinner with sour cream, chips with salsa, and a bottled Mexican Coke and everything was clearly made from scratch and with love the servings were generous, the mole sauce was complex and rich, the enchiladas were perfect, the rice and beans were delicious, the chips were fresh, and the salsas (which i was pleasantly surprised when i received both a roja salsa and verde enchilada sauce, some places don't do that! were unbelievable.everything had a nice spice level, more flavor oriented than spicy but it had a nice kick i added some hot sauce i had at home for a little bit more, but that's just my preference! the price for their bottled Coke is the most affordable i've seen in town which stood out to me since it's my favorite. i kid you not, the verde sauce could be bottled and sold, it's easily without a doubt the best i've ever had.and not only is the food phenomenal, but who i presume are the owners are very kind my bus was running severely behind when i scheduled a pickup for around 8ish PM so i didn't get there until 8:45 PM, which i felt terrible about; i assume it was slow so they were closing up early, but they waited for me and were understanding and so sweet. i'm newer to the area, but i can already tell this will permanently be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago.Vegetarian options: very good vegetarian options in almost every category of dish! they even have vegetarian tacos which i'm excited to tryKid friendliness: lovely small business with a warm environment, good owners, no coloring books or anything but it's a welcoming spot!"

"Came here for dinner on Sunday night and it was BUSY to say the least! Although this is the second time I've tried to eat at this Gloria's, I apparently didn't get the hint by making a reservation beforehand! The whole meal that we had had tasted great, our server was so nice, and we had a good time. The only thing that wasn't good were the drinks. We started off by ordering somemargaritas on the rocks the Spicy Mango and Spicy Pineapple Margaritas. One sip in and my drink was entirely too sweet sowas my friend's. We didn't want to complain but they were just too sweet to drink. Our server was so nice and offered to replacethem. We ended up ordering two Palomas in Moscow. When we tried those drinks we realized that the margaritas weren't a fluke butat that point it was the bartender the Palomas were too sweet as well. Come to find out from our server later, their regularbartenders weren't working that night and the two they had were fill ins. That was a let down. Because I don't like to wastealcohol ????(and our server had kindly said before he brought the Palomas out that we couldn't swap again) I slowly drank mydrink but it took me a while, even after finishing my meal. Besides that, all of our food tasted great. We shared the Pupusasand the Combination Fajitas. The Pupusas were hot and delicious and the slaw was just right. The Fajitas were also really good, the steak cooked just right and both the corn and flour tortillas tasted great. The rice and beans that are usually an afterthought at many other Tex Mex and Latin restaurants were also really good the rice was so flavorful! For dessert we endedeverything out with the Flan (mainly because it's my one and only favorite dessert and I hadn't tried it at Gloria's before),and it was so decadent and creamy! That was one of the best Flan's I've ever had ???? Besides the bad drinks and they were bad the rest of my meal was really good and our server was very attentive and super nice. I will def"
