"hands down some of THE best Mexican food i've ever had! i ordered the Enchiladas de Mole dinner with sour cream, chips with salsa, and a bottled Mexican Coke and everything was clearly made from scratch and with love the servings were generous, the mole sauce was complex and rich, the enchiladas were perfect, the rice and beans were delicious, the chips were fresh, and the salsas (which i was pleasantly surprised when i received both a roja salsa and verde enchilada sauce, some places don't do that! were unbelievable.everything had a nice spice level, more flavor oriented than spicy but it had a nice kick i added some hot sauce i had at home for a little bit more, but that's just my preference! the price for their bottled Coke is the most affordable i've seen in town which stood out to me since it's my favorite. i kid you not, the verde sauce could be bottled and sold, it's easily without a doubt the best i've ever had.and not only is the food phenomenal, but who i presume are the owners are very kind my bus was running severely behind when i scheduled a pickup for around 8ish PM so i didn't get there until 8:45 PM, which i felt terrible about; i assume it was slow so they were closing up early, but they waited for me and were understanding and so sweet. i'm newer to the area, but i can already tell this will permanently be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago.Vegetarian options: very good vegetarian options in almost every category of dish! they even have vegetarian tacos which i'm excited to tryKid friendliness: lovely small business with a warm environment, good owners, no coloring books or anything but it's a welcoming spot!"

This place used to be great. Note the salsa tastes like it’s from a jar and the sopes masa was more like grits, very soggy and not cooked right.

Horrible. Horchata was just water with coloring. I ordered a torta and they added what they wanted. Cheated me out of money. Stuff I didn’t ask for and allergic too. Horrible don’t order form this placeDietary restrictions: Horrible they don’t follow food orders. My money was waste.

Horrible service. Waited over an hour and a half for our dinner which never arrived... ended up just leaving. Did speak with the staff and they offered to comp the meal and prep it to go, but then disappeared into the kitchen. Got tired of waiting and left. The guacamole was ok though.Food: 3/5 View menu

I love it.The food is so tasty and it’s presentation is amazing. This a hidden gem in Rogers Park neighborhood.Furthermore… The owners and their staff are very friendly and attentive. They made you feel as family and to me that is very important.Places like “The Pecado Restaurante” are so valuable in our community.

I decided to drop by on a whim, and I'm glad I did! I really enjoyed the food. I just ordered two steak tacos and a glass of Jamaica, and the tacos were excellent. While there are many similar restaurants out there, this one has its own unique style and niche. The food quality is great, and the dining experience was top-notch. I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5!

The restaurant didn't impress us much, and we left feeling somewhat disappointed. It was nearly empty during our visit, which was a bit surprising for a party of three. We ordered the Carne Asada, and while the presentation was average, the meat was quite tough to chew. Despite the experience, we still left a 20% tip for the service. However, I don't see myself returning to this place in the future. View menu

El Pecado is a family friendly Mexican restaurant. While the environment is anything but fancy, they make up for it by being very friendly and welcoming. They have a menu with a good variety of food. I went there on a cold day to try their caldo camarones, one of a large variety of soups on their menu. It was quite good.I'm looking forward to tasting their caldo pollo and perhaps their menudo in the future as well. My wife had the steak taco plate and was quite satisfied with her meal.

I give this restaurant 3 stars for its cleanliness, the appealing aesthetics of the building, and the friendly lady who served us. The decorations were pleasant, and there was even a nice patio area, but ultimately, people come to restaurants for the food. Unfortunately, the tacos lacked flavor, and the chicken was dry—probably microwaved. I spent $16 for three tacos and left feeling unsatisfied. There’s not much else to say; I ate and then left. Perhaps other menu items might be better? I hope so!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
